Sent a text about Murray and haven't heard back yet...last thing I was told is that the staff is cautiously optimistic which means nothing. The tone after the visit here and tone a couple weeks ago had not changed from that perspective.
Baseball is absurd now, I coached middle school for the past couple years and they have baseball for our league, their summer/travel league, and Babe Ruth. Was nothing for some of them to come from one game and head straight to our game/practice. I would get burnt out with a quickness at 13/14 years old doing all of that + whatever other sports they play. Got lucky with a batch of parents who let us coach the way we wanted to and always offered to help with concessions/tickets/etc.

I'm a golf traditionalist, but also a fan. You can be both. The venue overall was a win, imo.
The amount of coverage, press, reaction, social media attention, etc....was pretty much unprecedented for this one. And then it delivers as thrilling of a Sunday with a stacked leaderboard as you could ever ask for. Absolutely loved it.

That whole post-round interview setup was strange. Let's face each other rather than the camera. Here, you get your own microphone. I thought they were going to try to sell us the flat-screen television.
The frequent use of the shot-tracker was nice, though.
Also finished up +$250 on the tourney. Jumped on Spieth when he moved to +300 after his opening bogey...and hit Rory U70.5 the final 2 days.
Golf Gambol is underrated. Don't typically bet the winners, but love the individual O/U prop bets or matchup bets.

Agree :100points: ...especially considering every time she makes an appearance Twitter explodes and the US Open Thread was completely highjacked/bombarded with cheesy Sonders commentary.

-We're fine in recruiting but man the others have figured out some ways to attack us. Losing 2 recruiters in 2 years doesn't help but man it feels like we're just swinging and missing left and right. Guess Cal just went all eggs in this years basket.

- Tough weekend. My uncle passed away. Spent basically all weekend with my parents. Dad was pretty messed up. Never seen him like that.

Wedding in Owensboro on Sat. Decent sized wedding with about 200 folks or so. Goodness there was some heat at this thing. Borderline mind boggling. Small little town puts out talent.
- Met the old man at his "joint" aka getaway from my mom, Selena's Tavern, yesterday afternoon for collides.
Place officially shut down at 3:00 because of the holiday but bc he's such a frequent patron they let us in to have a few with the work crew. Interesting being in a bar after it closes. Employees making their own drinks, busting out free food, smoking green, turning up the music, etc. My dad and I sat there for about 90 minutes or so drinking on the house watching the US Open with the bar tenders, bar backs, cooks, etc.
- Hot one this week.. Hope BBDK and Chad can handle it.

-So Spake is doing the post-pick interviews for ESPN Thursday night, which is a huge improvement over Battier/Williams of recent years. But then ESPN goes and replaces Simmons on the set with Jay Williams. Goodness gracious. So many NBA personalities they could put in that spot, and they put Jay freaking Williams. You already have Bilas there to cover the college angle. Get a freaking league guy in there.
Also, Draft Week means it's time to figure out which Twitter guys will tweet the picks before Silver announces them, and mute accordingly.
-I loved "Jurassic Park", and even the first sequel. Everyone who feels the same way loved "Jurassic World", so those are the reviews I'm paying attention to.
-Wife is in Kenya for 11 days, gets back a week from today. Shoutout to single dads. I'm four days in and exhausted already.
-"Inside Out" is the best Pixar movie since "Up". Just a great film, as much for adults as for kids. Especially poignant for parents.
