Rand Paul's face reminds me of a skinny Pope (whatever that is) in certain instances.

at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon I had enough at work. Up and left for the day. Took the day off today as well. Played 9 yesterday, went out for beers after. Woke up late today, watched a few episodes of Fixer Upper on HGTV- went to lunch by myself at a hibachi grill, then went home to take a nap.

Been the best 24 hours ive had in some time.

Mashburned sucks, but he nailed it when he said everyone else should feel 'embarrassed' by the sounds 50 year old Dre put together in a matter of weeks/months while taking a break from selling Headphones. It was all new music, none of which included the **** he'd been working on for 15 years for Detox that we'll never hear.

Dude is incredible.

That's Chad's line, he's never forgotten.

I will say, despite some obvious standouts, I'm not sure there is than transcendent HIT/Single that will live on forever in DA CLUB like G Thang, Dre Day, Still Dre, Next Episode, Forgot About Dre, etc...

...but I also think he was nervous about reaching for that, so that's fine. He's obviously been scared shitless to even drop an album b/c of the obvious impossible expectations. I mean, he worked on Detox for 15 years before deciding it wasn't "good enough". [eyeroll]

He could make 10 albums of the 150 worst songs that were in the mix for Detox over the past 1.5 decades and still have 10 albums that beat 98% of anything else that comes out. But I guess that's what makes him Dre.

I think he did as well could as he really could have all things considered -- it's just a damn good album, pretty much all the way through. Just happy he gave us another. [cheers]

-It's my hope that maybe one day when I'm in hospice and he's long gone, his son will pull an Afeni Shakur and just hand over the catalogue to whoever is the best producer at the time, and he'll remaster & release all sorts of ****, and BBdK can go out nodding his head to the real Dr. :fire::100points:

Who? Dr. Dre?

Better tread lightly...I've got the goods on you.

Enjoy New York, and I'll pretend like that post never happened.

On & off, of course. But he's been in the studio regularly, per everyone associated with him and HIMSELF, for 15+ years working on it.

You saying he doesn't have HUNDREDS of tracks sitting there? You know better than that. Maybe thousands, TS.

Chronic 2001 dropped in 1999, for those scoring at home. Easy Math.

Don't try and fight me now, we're actually cool for 1 day of the year.

I'm going back to being mostly white tomorrow, don't worry. Slightly embarrassed about today, but not really. I've posted about this **** every quarter (at minimum) for the last 10-15 years on here, I deserve this day.

GGP if it's getting on your nerves. My true friends are happy for me. :sunglasses:

Right. He's been working, but I don't feel like he was stressing trying to put together an album. Probably just what he does everyday. Gym. Studio. Yacht.

1 day in 16 years. Enjoy. There will be no more Dre Days.

[laughing]@ Wodie. Happy for the dude.

-I'm getting a kick out of it more b/c of the memories it brings back from The Chronic. That album was as pivotal in my youth as Jamal Mashburn. I think we burned holes in that sucker at sleepovers while playing Nintendo, chugging cokes, crushing Pizza Hut and praying Red Shoes was on HBO that night. Very few things in life I wanted more than The Chronic and my parents were strictly against Parental Advisory albums. I got it but had to hide it. Finally caught mom in a rare mood and begged her for Doggystyle.

35 miles tonight. Man I needed that. Work tomorrow.

I much prefer Letterman's marquee, but maybe it's just because I don't like change. It's weird that the front of Colbert's says "The Late Show With" but does not have his name under it. The "with" doesn't make any sense standing alone. Plus I don't think the red looks all that good.

The slight white border makes the lettering look pink. It loses the pop on the black background unlike the yellow on black. "the" and "with" are both out of place as well. Weird.

I haven't followed this at all since I don't really give a **** about late shows but is the show going to be satire like his old show or more like a traditional late night show?

A more traditional talk show. He won't be playing the character from The Colbert Report, which will probably confuse the hell out of a lot of people who didn't quite understand that he was in fact playing a character.

Neighborhood has some serious competition going on the lemonade stand front. Couple of kids have really capitalized on this Alumni Rd detour traffic. Got at least 3 regular stands going right now. They're out there CRUSHING rush hour. Stands are pretty legit as well. Several bright chalk board signs for advertisement. Working in pairs. Good for them. I love young entrepreneurs.

Heading to Luminocity tonight. Basically a giant laser light show at Music Hall/Washington Park in the middle of OTR that has turned into an almost weeklong thing. Plenty of crafites and artisan street truck food as well.

lol hope I don't get shot lol
