Clowns. :p August, what a ****** month. Perfect weather. 6a-8p sunlight. Absolute perfection.

Unseasonably cool weather in August is almost as good as the 75 degree days we'll have in October to go along with football, Keeneland, basketball practice, Breeders Cup, etc...

Don't worry though, accuweather is predicting more seasonal weather in the 90's with stupid humidity before the month is out.

Maybe just invite Cawood over to escalate the issue.

[laughing]

A lot of GYERO tailgaters are thankful to cawood for that, pretty much ensures nobody else can ever claim that worst spot.

-LOL at Anth acting like this is typical August weather. Pretty sure everyone is enjoying this weather, bub. Wanna guess WHY? Yeah...B/c it feels like the beginning of fall. Stupid idiot.

Probably the best celebratory UK football song imo. Instead of Kool & the Gang thenewcws.com should play it as the clock expires in big home victories.

Sooo wiiide you can't get around it...

Chad could turn it on with his boys at the condo, too.

Thursday Shorts:

- I don't think any other GYERO is better equipped for the lunacy of marriage and kids than Willy. Dude is the most chill feller on earth. Nothing rattles him. Wish I was more like that.

- Thoughts on a Wynyard/SKJ start to this class? One is brute strength. The other finesse and upside. I like collecting some of these low 5*/high 4* types to go along with the studs. SKJ seems tailor-made for the freshman who explodes up draft boards under Cal.

- So, what's next? Fultz, Bridges and Fox? Monk?

- So, we get LSU twice this year. Good.

- 15-20 years ago, Jim Rome and Dan Patrick were my favorite sports radio shows. Today, Jim Rome and Dan Patrick are my favorite sports radio shows.

- Need a good Fall/Winter beanie for the new shaven head. Recs? Patagonia?

- Not going to front, the weather this August- and really, the entire summer- has been great for the most part.

- UNC under Roy may be about done. They'll be good this year, but even so, I don't see the upside that teams like UK, Kansas, Duke and Arizona have. And their recruiting has been complete ****.

- Time for the bi-annual "You're the top QB prospect in the land- who gets your 5 visits?" question. Mine:

UK
Notre Dame
Alabama
Texas A&M
Oregon

This was 2007 when having a flat screen was a pretty big deal and a HUGE deal for the tailgate van.

-Accuweather sucks. WU and intellicast have mid 80s/low 60's to close out the month. Hopefully we do get one more got blast of warmth before it's all over.

-Vandy road game back this year. Hate that it's so late because SECT is right after it but def my favorite basketball SEC trip. Unlike the SECT we can actually enjoy Nashville.

-Seriously, how hard is it to put a logo on a large blank canvas? We built a massive suite/pressbox on an existing structure for Christ sakes but we can't stick a large UK on the back of the video board?

-The Grind burgers best sandwich is the chicken. TS. That sucker is RIDIC.

-Little dude starting to smile, pretty remarkable.

-Boy in the Boat is the new read. Got really good reviews and has been nagging me in my Amazon recommendations for months.

Avg temps:

June: 83/62
July: 86/66
August: 86/65

So actually, yeah it's been almost exactly "typical" for our historical averages.

I've heard that Patagonia is the new hot winter gear for white people with too much money. Too many middle-class/poors wearing North Face these days, I guess.

smh. I should have posted *SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY*. Does that make you feel better about yourself poking fun of a guy who simply inquired about a beanie? Does it make you feel more like a man mocking me? What do you expect me to do, bro- blindly find my own beanie? Like I just magically have a beanie instinct in my F'ing brain? I was asking a sincere question and I would appreciate a sincere answer, funny guy.

If there is one guy in GYERO who has rocked a billed-toboggan at some point in his life, I guarantee it's Anth. Sure as hell isn't me.

-Currently reading "Ready Player One". Fun read so far, tons of 80's references. Wanted to read it before the Spielberg-produced film comes out in a few years.

-So yesterday the story blew up about Shaun King, one of the voices of the Black Lives Matter movement, and how he may actually be white, instead of claiming to be black(or bi-racial) all these years. He grew up in Versailles, so I wondered if 80 Proof knew him growing up? Controversy and drama just seem to follow the guy, but his stories have seemed fishy from the beginning.

-Other than the marquee doubleheader, that 24-hour Tipoff Marathon lineup is pretty uninspiring. Still not all in on Maryland being a legitimate title contender. But I *get* why they're up there.

-They should have just affixed the janky wooden sign on the back of the scoreboard. Two birds with one stone, IMO.

-Little dude starting to smile, pretty remarkable.

You guys posted a pic on FB last week where he had already perfected that cheesy *** snake eating grin. As my Dad would say, "Cute as a bug dick."

G is going to be a stud of epic proportions.

* LSU or Bama (toss up)
Notre Dame
USC
Arizona State
Hawaii

(I'd take several unofficials to UK and commit there)

* Was at the office until 3. More of the same today/tonight. Daddy is hoping for a big raise by Christmas.

* Guess I'm going TV shopping tomorrow.

Brazilian Steakhouse and a movie date Saturday night.

The wife & kids and I will be in a suite for the Reds game on Sunday.

Should be a solid weekend.

* Going to go fish Elkhorn Creek with my Dad near Frankfort in a few weeks. Did it a few years ago and loved it.

Beanie is gay as hell and often worn by **** in summer time. They usually fail to properly cover your ears and are worn mainly as fashion statement.

Toboggan is what men wear to keep their head warm during the winter. They are not fashionista approved, and the homeless love them.

Owensboro is a weird little place, kind of its own thing, imo. Yes, the girls are smoke, but I've maybe liked 1 out of 10 dudes I've ever met from there.

After the SEC Football coaches thing last night they actually had a Basketball special with the schedule release...

...our the homie Dino Guadio went on record saying Tyler Ulis is going to be the best PG in the country. It won't be the only time we hear that either. [smoke]

Good call on him btw, Brooks.

Arc'teryx is the overpriced outdoor label for peeps who are already ahead of the curve. Learn yuppie.
~Section 21 looks ready tho..:victory:
I'm over in Section 20 - come by and backslap me sometime, Wildcat Friend!

- When it comes to signage and visible **** I'm of the KISS mindset. (Keep it simple stupid lol). But let's leave it to our WILDMAN fan base to vote on displaying these effing awful player murals for all to see/mock.. Grief. Either the UK(H) logo only...or as Chad suggested the State Outline only (that would be extree dope). That other gaudy **** needs to stop. Embarrassing.

- Dorian Baker. Two-car garage...A mildly creative nickname that amazingly doesn't make use of the player's initials with Dub-dog-dogg-money-etc added on to the end. I'm impressed.

^ yes. Imagine there will be every day...

Yeah, the state outline ONLY would be dope, but of course that isn't an option.[eyeroll]
