Crazy. This is their second toughest game of the regular season & conference championship and they are going to win by 31+. I'm not sure if anybody will stay within 20 of them.

Who gives a ****? As long as the Big Ten Champion is 12-1 or 13-0 after their title game, they're getting into the Playoffs. This isn't the BCS. The SEC & Big Ten Champions will be in the damned thing 90% of the time. Non-issue.

I only root for Ohio State against Michigan. Not following 73 being an Ohio State fan?

-Better win by 15.

-Well, we're not OSU and VT is ULL but probably equal drop off. Good to see another group get away from what their strength is and let a team back in.

Boom and Elliott have to get the ball. Crazy not to load up on them. Did Jones run the ball more than Elliott?

Get up 14 and that's when you get physical, long, grinding drives. Instead they switch QB's, bombs, run the QBs and basically do everything but just hand the ball to the best player on the field.

people like to gamble on sports.

** BREAKING NEWS **
Of course. But ESPN, a Disney owned company, hasn't promoted it in a long time. All these mentions seem strange. Like they are headed in that direction. They did a lot of it before they were owned by ABC and then Disney.

I didn't realize their schedule was that bad. Man, that's nuts. So they have MSU in November. That's it. How does that happen? They're ridiculous but the grind of the SECW would take it's toll on any team.

Ok buddy.

First time ever that College Gameday had lines listed during their picks segment. Davis even had them make the first few picks against the spread. Then tonight, during halftime, another mention of betting the line between Davis and SVP.

And there you go. A little montage of Vegas in the opening of SVP Sportscenter.

ESPN has never shied away from lines. Not during my lifetime anyways.

Idiot.
False.

There have never been lines shown on College Gameday.
Hammerin' Hank used to pick 5 against the spread on NFL Gameday. They haven't done in a long time.

And SVP just mentioned Bowling Green was keeping it within the number against UT when the guy went down with the bad shoe. Almost like a throw in that the producer whispered in his ear.

Man, chill. ESPN has always referred to teams as heavy favorites, big underdogs, or even referenced the "guys in Vegas" for along time. To specifically mention spreads I'm sure that hit or miss but College Gameday Saturday mornings have mentioned spreads and show them routinely and the bottom line as a scroll of Top 25 team lines most weeks.

You may have not noticed as much but ESPN began doing this more routinely a few years ago when legalized gambling became a hot button and really looked like it had a shot at more places than the few we get now.

All that said, Chief you really should never take such a hard line in the sand, ever! Just be vague as possible on everything.

Casual mentions of the lines during highlights are different than Rece Davis saying "ok guys we are going to pick these first few games against the spread..".

I'm fine with it as I haven't watched SC in 15+ years. Anything they can do to juice it up is good.
