Probably owns more than 1 tie, or maybe out of style ? Those would be my first 2 guesses. Third would be, he threw it away when the Dreamteam lost. Not saying he believes in jinx or anything, but that one may be it.

I believe that tie was the first iteration of the "Official UK Plaid" created by the UK's fashion/textiles program.

After that season he didn't have to ingratiate himself by wearing ugly ties anymore.

According to Wikipedia, the tie took the head coaching job at UW-Green Bay after the 2011 season. Hasn't done much since then. They got an NIT bid in 2013, but not much else. Always heard the tie is a good dude from people around the program back then.

Dude. Are you really asking us what happened to a tie that Cal wore five years ago?

Yes. It just seems weird that a tie would disappear like that. Generally, ties are phased out. But this one went from being worn every game to never having been seen again. And if I remember correctly, he wore it at Memphis too.

Frankly, if you haven't given this a lot of thought then you're not a true blue Kentucky fan imo.

The tie was a gift from someone who had cancer or something from back in his Memphis days. Supposed to have been good luck. I assume the person is now dead so he no longer has to wear it like he promised because they can't see the games being dead and all.

The bigger screen on the 6 is a massive up grade over the 5. Honestly, it was a game changer. Thought I would hate the larger size, now I pretty much think anyone with a 5 or before is missing out. Just a much better user experience (yes i realize Samsung/android was way ahead on this).

SAE, the Catholic Church is most definitely a pyramid scheme. Go check out the Vatican if you don't believe it. Born and raised Catholic, and I was embarrassed and a little disgusted by it. They may have given a lot of money to the poor, but they sure were skimming. And the Pope is touching up my city right now, so he can get poped.

Actually think it'd be pretty bawse of Cal to come out this year in a new Nike track suit for games. Kind of a gritty, "eye of the tiger" sort of rebirth after last season. Maybe even keep a whistle around his neck.

It is pretty incredible that an institution has managed to maintain so much power and influence for centuries. I'm talking, of course, about the Illuminati.

-born, raised, educated catholic. Just don't agree with the way they do things and handled controversy, won't allow women equal responsibilities, etc. They're far from the only religion exploiting people though. I am encouraged by the current Pope. He's much more in tune with society. Similar to a young JP2.

-I said Narcos was better last week. Both are outstanding though. Robot is just getting started and how much longer can Narcos go? 1 season? Unless they switch stories. Final few episodes of Narcos was amazing stuff.

-I like giving cincy hell but the culinary stuff is absolutely true. Impossible to deny.

-exhausted from a long week in the nasty. Ate terrible, drank a bunch but good stuff. Crazy how my sleep didn't really improve being in a quiet hotel room. Guess I just missed the little guy.

-a few months ago someone said you won't care as much about sports after kids. Well that's complete ******** BUT he certainly made the morning after the loss better.

I will say this about Catholics- at least we don't treat Jesus like some cool guy who lives down the street or some divine mascot like many Protestants tend to do. I'm not a very formal guy but I appreciate it in religion. That's one thing that annoys me about Baptist types.
