If you're gonna run for any office in this state it should be circuit court clerk. TS. Those people - for reasons I've never been able to figure out - are some of the most powerful officials in the state. They lobbied for - and got - big raises while the damn Chief Justice was left begging for scraps for the rest of the judiciary.

Mattox- be careful posting a picture of yourself in this thread. Despite the fact that almost everyone that posts here's real full name, place of employment, current home city and spouses names have been posted hundreds of times, that picture could be pretty damning if the wrong people saw it. so, your thin skinned *** is all chapped over getting called out by his thin skinned ***, so your thin skinned *** is calling out his thin skinned *** for being so easily chapped?

got it.

Which is exactly why I would never run for office of have to interact with the public in any meaningful way. I live as far away from people as my wife is willing to go now.

--- After doing the game as a color commentator, I have new respect for those that do it. Much more chaotic and difficult than I had realized. I enjoyed it and think it went pretty well, but it took 100% focus to keep the train moving.

Given the fact that the color spot is usually held by former players/coaches/long time analysts...in other words, those who have knowledge of the game, it was easy to see (and hear) that you were a fish out of water.

May want to try another gig...hear that political game is fun. Of course, a platform may help...and knowledge of the issues. Jabs and jokes will only carry you so far, even in this hick state.

One of the biggest mysteries in the state imo.

I really hope Carson isn't elected so he can spend more time on brain surgeries of numbskulls like yourself.

I thought Matt was referring to the Barr screenshot Mattox tweeted out

The second time he referenced my Twitter account today (that no one reads, especially not him) he was referring to that Tweet. The first time was the Tweet I embedded on the last page.

Circuit Court Clerk I know has had years of alcohol problems and would go weeks at a time without showing up but he was such a good politician he'd get elected again every 6 years. He's been clerk for 25 years now all while making about $80,000 in a county where average income is around $20,000.

Forget Circuit Court Clerks, how about Jailers in counties that don't have jails?

They don't get paid as well and usually don't hold as much sway as the person in charge of making sure all the paperwork is filed the right way.

We also have 178 different elected prosecutors (just the elected- not counting staffs) in this state so that seems pretty reasonable imo as well

This article mentions one of the no-jail Jailers as making 69K a year. Many of them make less, but almost all of them do nearly nothing. A lot of them apparently have other full-time jobs

A sheriff's deputy can easily transport a prisoner to court and to medical appointments, so I don't think we really need an elected official to do it.

I have no issue with the amount of prosecutors. Lottsa crimes be bein' committed.

Thought Ravi and Matt brought out the best in Dave, too.

Price Hike Warning for November 3, 2015

Watch out! Gas prices could be jumping in Louisville! Warn your friends.
Pre-Hike Average
2.19
Projected Average
2.39 +/- 0.11

These stations in your area usually react slowly, check their prices:
Station Area Address
Shell Louisville - South 2911 Bardstown Rd
Speedway Louisville - SE 2720 Taylorsville Rd
BP Louisville - SE 1735 Newburg Rd
Unbranded Highlands 1779 Bardstown Rd
Thorntons Louisville - SE 3909 Taylorsville Rd

Warning Buddies, we suspect gasoline prices may be rising to 2.39 +/- 0.11 over the next 36.5 hours. We calculate the odds of this increase occurring to be 94%.

Thanks,

The Gasbuddy Team

I think Matt should go ahead and run because he is in no danger of getting Wally Pipp'd.

If he wins, his radio show can limp along for years before getting cancelled (like SNL and the KSR blog, it has a really good "parking spot" at this point).

By the time he loses or wants to quit and come back to reclaim his ambassadorship, the tech will have caught up to supporting his independence on the radio front, not just the blog/news.

You heard it here first, Matt and you have my blessing.

Obviously, you won't change anything, but Godspeed on attaining power House of Cards style. I can see how that will seem more fun than shilling for mattresses at a certain point.

No way Bevin wins. Half the republicans I know we're either not voting, or voting for Curtis. He is just a bad candidate.
That's the thing with Republicans, if they have a bad candidate, they won't vote for him or her, Democrats have never met a bad candidate.

Rob,

Please refrain for discussing politics ever agin, you've proven time and time again it's not your deal. Time to move on.
