When watching other teams, the main thing I'm envious of are guys who can make jump shots from all positions.

That was a fun game to watch. Takes:
- Maryland has all the individual pieces but they don't fit well together quite yet. We'll see if Turgeon gets them there.
- So Skal- who sucks and will never be any good- looks better than Diamond Stone.
- Terps turned it over on 28% of their possessions.
- UNC looked really good. When he's playing well, I love Kennedy Meeks. Does so many smart things.
- Jackson didn't have a great game, but played with much more energy and confidence.
- All this "Paige is the best PG in America" stuff is bunk for one reason...dude doesn't play PG! But he may be the best guard in America.
- Appears the top contenders are new look Kansas, UNC with Paige, Michigan State and UK.

Louisville is gonna lose this game by double digits. Ask yourself what Louisville has done thus far that you didn't expect them to. Beat North Florida handily? Beat Samford handily? They are who we thought they were. Don't buy into Pitino's cupcake party. Don't do it today, and don't do it later this month.

Izzo and Pitino have faced each other three times ('09 Elite 8, '12 Sweet 16, '15 Elite 8) and the favorite has lost all three games. Between that and Louisville having played NOBODY to this point, that's an extremely tricky line.
* I still like Duke in that top tier of contending teams with the other guys. They were just a kryptonite matchup for us. They'll get enough points for free tacos from Taco Bell tonight vs. Indiana.
* Can't put my finger on it, but something seems off about Maryland. Titus goes back to '13 Indiana as a reference point where the team had an overachieving regular season, brought everybody back and are playing with the target for the first time. Carolina's extremely good, but when that game got to winning time, you just knew Maryland wasn't going to make enough plays.
* How did Purdue get so good so fast again? They are gigantic.
- Who knows what to think about Louisville yet?
- I think Duke's a step below, in that 6-10 range.

Lots of 'solid' teams this year, but no standouts. Maybe one or two will separate themselves as the year goes on.
