-Kinda surprised to see that from BRax after we buddied up at Kohl's a few weeks back. Still, you never know with that scalawag.

-"Star Wars" hype is over the top, but as UCL said, it's a solid movie. If you liked the originals, you'll like it. If you loved the originals, you'll love it. If you liked the prequels, GGP.

-Has the "Finals Week" slate of CBB games ALWAYS been this bad? Just don't recall such a drastic dropoff in the quality of games during this week in previous years.

-Was way out in front on Mangino. Just like his belt buckle!!! lolz Anyway guys, it would be about as good a hire as you could get in this situation.

-Sitting through "The Nutcracker" tonight. Puppies appreciated.

He doesn't have to tell me or anything, but i think wildcatchad is the only regular poster on this site where I have absolutely no clue what he does for a living. I don't think it's law, medicine or insurance. But outside of those things it's wide open.

Thanks @wildcatadam6. My brother and sister-in-law lost a granddaughter last night unexpectedly. Got ill, stopped breathing. Rushed her by ambulance to the hospital, and they got her breathing again by respirator, but they never could revive her and she lost brain function. Turns out she had diabetes, and they never knew. I'm not sure if she had even turned 10 yet. Right before Christmas.

Sorry to share the sorrow here on GYERO. But it's a good reminder about what is important. Hug your kids and spouses every chance you get and tell them you love them.

And thanks for being a great distraction, even when you tell me to go get pumped.

What's the line on Mangino vs me having heart attack during next season?

Edit: damn sorry to hear padre.

The deal with tOSU is they're awful and somehow, I still see us being in a slug fest with them. If there was a worse shooting team than the Cats, it may be them.

Is there a company with a bigger advertising budget than Sherri's Berries?

I think Chad is in a band or something, maybe?

I mean obviously he is a lunatic radical terrorist sympathizer, but the shooter in San Bernadinos "friend" looks like the biggest loser imaginable.

Kind of down on Serial Season 2 after two episodes. Would prefer more of a murder mystery featuring a white chick, to be honest.

it's amazing how hard star wars fans try to out-dork each other.

some nerd makes his 2 month old go as r2d2 to halloween, so another geek dresses his dog up as c3po. not to be outdone, dbag #3 builds a snowman and suits him up like obi wan. his dorky friend then takes cos play sexual fantasy pics with his girl rocking the princess leia outfit. oh yeah?? my wedding cake is darth vader! well i sported a boba fett mask to a job interview. well i trim my lawn with a light saber. i buzz my pubes to look like a storm trooper! my kid took a **** and it looks dead on like jabba the hutt! we sent out christmas cards with the entire family in a chewbacca costume! well we eat thanksgiving dinner on jar jar binks china! yoda officiated my wedding! the max rebo band played at mine! my fiancé and I had a threesome with lando calrissian! my favorite holiday is may the 4th! mace windu is the only black guy allowed in my house! im a volunteer crime fighter who dresses up like darth maul!!

ugh.

I'm really hoping for Mangino. Honestly, all I can ask for from UK football is some comedic distractions, and an angry fat man is going to be gold.

Seriously, look at this guy.

Willy's photoshop possibilities are endless. Who gives a **** about winning and losing, because we all know it's ultimately going to be losing.

Mangino failing here would be the personification of tying a brick to a sack of cats and throwing them in a river.

Gran = a balanced offensive mind, grizzled vet with SEC experience. Not saying he would absolutely destroy here but he is exactly what the team needs at this juncture.

Never gave Gran much thought because I didn't think he would leave a relatively secure position at UC unless it was for a HC job. But goodness, he checks all the boxes. Established running game coach, but has coached offenses that had QB's like Gunnar Kiel, etc. Veteran coach. Outstanding recruiter. Even coached special teams while at FSU and Auburn.

Can't do football talk right now, gang. Don't know where to start so I'd rather just put it on the back burner for now until it's time for me to renew my season tickets again & somehow get excited for 2016 like an insane idiot.

Watched this morning before work & it got the juices flowing. We play in NYC tomorrow and then host our favorite bunch in 8 days in what will be a blood thirsty crowd so ready for a home signature win. The fire's starting to burn again, folks.

Went to our office Christmas party last night at the Merrick Inn. Go out to get my SUV from the valet and he's broken the key off in the car door (the fob fell off last week and I didn't have it on my key ring). 2 hours later the key guy shows up. In the process of having them rekey the ignition my car battery dies after the alarm goes off half a dozen times. This make them unable to gets some code off the computer so had to wait on a new battery to be delivered. An hour and a half and 300 dollars later I'm finally sitting behind the wheel.

But they fired Dawson so all was not lost.

Not the entire series. I like the series but this is just all over board. Some grown men are going to regret their actions this week.
Look up on YouTube the Conan Triumph Starwars gig. Triumph roasts a bunch of nerds waiting in line for episode 1. Would be just as perfect today.

Interesting tidbit someone posted on rafters from SI article about Ulis' 3point shooting.

Point guard Tyler Ulis hasn’t been the long-range weapon for the Wildcats that he was last season, when he shot 42.9% from deep; he’s made just 28.2% of his threes thus far. Has Ulis just hit a cold streak, or has something changed?

As a freshman, 36% of Ulis’s shots in halfcourt situations were off the catch, and he scored an amazing 1.55 points per attempt, according to Synergy Sports Technology. As a sophomore, 28.6% of his shots in halfcourt situations are off the catch, and he’s scoring just 0.41 points per attempt. We’re still in the very-small-sample stage, but I’m curious if this huge change is, in some way, a result of how he’s getting his catch-and-shoot three feeds. Last season, Kentucky had post-up scoring threats in Karl Anthony-Towns, Trey Lyles, Dakari Johnson and (sometimes) Willie Cauley-Stein who could attract defenders and kick the ball out to the perimeter; this season, UK’s one frontcourt scoring threat, Skal Labissiere, is more of a face-up operator. I watched all 22 of Ulis’s catch-and-shoot attempts on film and just one has come on a post-up kick-out; all the others came on passes from fellow guards.

Rick Moranis resurfacing after all these years?

Not that you can change it now but any decent locksmith could have extracted the broken key, decoded it and programmed you a new one for roughly $150. If it were me, I would go to the valet company and ask them to reimburse you.

it's not that skal doesn't pass out of the post, it's that he's never there to begin with.

christmas plans are derailed. were heading to scottsdale, but dad needs open heart surgery. no surprise, really. looks like we're lexington bound.

keep your news stations dialed into new orleans. our white mayor is leading the charge to systematically tear down every monument in town with any connection to the civil war. race riots will be forthcoming. oh joy.

brandon phillips going to arizona and taking 2 years and $28 million with him. thank heavens. i like what walt is doing here.

So I'm sporting one of those Y'all shirts. Some Yankee in the airport looks at me and yells

"Texas!!! You're from Texas right?"

Blank stare.

"No, Kentucky."

" What! They don't say Y'all in Kentucky"

Blank stare. Walks on.

Weird.
