Re: Ray Davis ESPN announcer

He was referencing the story in Cat Paw FB yearbook. That’s the exact story on how no one wanted him. Maybe not the correct phrasing but he was just repeating what’s already in print.
One had context. The other did not.

It's literally an out of pocket comment though. Same thing happened last night in the UFC when Daniel Cormier asked Laura Sanko if she could imagine a 6'7 guy on top of her.

Not intentional but easy to see why people would be put off by it.

Went to the Cal-Auburn game last night in Berkeley. My thoughts:

1. Cal had a surprising big game atmosphere. Didn’t know they had that in them.
2. Stadium is super old and needs an upgrade. Pretty amazing location though.
3. Auburn fans are the best. Seriously amazing people.
4. Cal was 1/4 on FG and is 2/7 on the year. Oof. If only there was a good kicker in NorCal!!!

Speaking of kickers, 05 just verbally committed to Union College in New York! Championship pedigree program (been to the NC Game twice) with an exciting new HC, who is the former STC at Harvard and RC at Columbia. Coach hand picked 05 this summer during our East Coast tour and wants 05 to be THE guy. Pretty exciting stuff. Super proud of my son. Announcement coming soon
Congrats!

MSU is like… WHEEw! We can get out oh this stupid contract.
Totally agree the administration is like sweet, let’s get him off the books. I’m sure he’s fine with the guaranteed money unless it’s all guaranteed and then MSU is touched unless that’s part of the contract.

The fact that someone jerked off talking to a rape victim that was speaking on consent is really hilarious and completely stupid. Like if anyone is going to turn you in it’s her.

Very true and I didn’t see that but I’d assume he was talking about fighting not just having a 6’7” dude on you.

Yes it does and it’s beautiful. Nothing out of Ohio is pretty too look at. I hope these teams tie and then lose every other game besides one more tie.

the lack of practice reps is readily apparent with Burrow. Also, he's dreadful right now, rolling out of the pocket.

That calf injury is clearly still bothering him.

Mel fired, lol. Unreal how they set him up.

I didn't believe it was a set up... but I just read this USA Today Story that goes into detail on the relationship and phone sex thing. This thing is kind of ridiculous.

"Tracy said she thought to herself, "Oh my god, this is happening, and I can’t stop it." In the moment, she said, it didn’t occur to her to hang up. Eventually she said something along the lines of, “If you do this, I don’t ever want to hear about it, we are only friends, that’s it.”"

So this gal gets a phone call at 12:30 AM from Tucker, he starts rubbing one out, and she doesn't think to hang up? Then - if you continue reading the story - she doesn't talk to him for 3 months because he's not returning her texts. Tucker also cuts her speaking engagements off (i.e., payments off) because she apparently told her assistant about the phone sex and Tucker was pissed.

So 8 months later she then files the report? Sounds to me she's mad he stopped paying her / calling her.

Both of these losers need to be **** canned.

My paesans would disown me for sprinkling a couple TBSs of Red Boat fishsauce in my bubbling Bolognese ragu. Smells epic. See if Kenji can be trusted with some heretical ********. Pappardelle.

These NFL games have sucked.

Brewers pitching is pretty sick. Couple that with umps that are generous, and it’s lights out. Yanks no-hit thru 11. Win in 13. Avoid🧹

There are 2 sides to every story and the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.

That said, I don’t want to live in a country where I can’t call some lady up at midnight and start cranking one out. Rather dangerous precedent being set here, IYAM IMO ATKOT

Read the article. He was flirting with her for months and venmo-ing her money. Should the married head coach of a football program do that? No. But is it really harassment? Probably not.

Football thoughts:

-sloppy and undisciplined is becoming a hallmark of CMS teams in September. His overall record is good...but the birthing pains every year are no fun to watch.

-other than TR our receiving corps is either over-rated or believing too much of their own hype. #6 makes the tough catches and drops the easy ones. #7 drops more than he catches....way too many balls get to his body, electric with the ball in his hands, but what good is that if you drop easy balls. #8 can't seem to catch a cold...but it's early.

^leary is very accurate/reads defense well and could be great for UK, but sadly our offense isn't dynamic enough to survive drive killing drops. Stop talking and make plays.

-need to use middle of the field more. #80 and #84 need to be more involved.

-Ray Davis is a stud. Need a solid #2 to emerge.

-oline is a little better this year, hopefully they continue to improve as the season gets hard.

-defense is solid and I predict will get better as the season progresses.

-a lot of stuff to clean up...still only see one *sure* loss on the schedule.

^bammers are not a great football team this year...if UK steadies the ship they'll take em down. Glad they have tennesee at home. leaning 60/40 to the filthy orange at this point...definitely not a sure loss.

Admire rudd's optimism.

*Agree on the receivers- may be the biggest disappointment thus far. I had some vsions of those guys running wide open all over the field and hitting big play after big play. That was my bad. They've just not been good enough.

*I think Leary will progress, but he has made his fair share of meh throws as well. Mix in the drops and that doesnt help either.

*I like Davis a lot- it remains to be seen if he will be the workhorse for us like the guys we've had in recent seasons.

*I think the jury is still out on the defense. Tough to really tell much- they were put in some bad spots, but also werent exactly shutting anyone down.

Maybe it all clicks at once? Be nice to see us play a competent power 5 team but maybe its best we still have a few shitbirds to get some reps and work things out.

Looking for one parking pass for the alabama game but per stubhub they are the price of a used car Tesla right now.

Appears the coaching staff still hasn't caught up with the new clock and its impact on the game. Combined with no urgency on offense, if you get behind, don't see the pop to get back in the game. That's all the makings of dropping one you should win or falling to a lesser opponent.

And spare me with the "staff is keeping their powder dry" takes. They didn't script a dogs breakfast for 8 quarters to play possum. New QB, new RB1, you want to get in a rhythm and see their range.

Still plenty of time but to act like nothing's wrong is whistling past the graveyard.

Brown's run in the 2nd should have been six. Dude was flat moving, not sure how they caught him? May need to incorporate more of those gadget plays to get playmakers the ball.

Way too many stupid penalties. Drive killers twice in the first on the heels of big plays killed momentum and what looked like a scoring drive to jump out first.

Wish Vandy was this weekend just to test our metal.

-Leary missed a couple throws in a row that would've likely changed the trajectory of the game. Assuming those were on him. The 2 holding penalties and blocked punt were the real killers though.

-Leary did rebound and both those TD passes were beauts.

-I just don't see our identity this season. Passing the ball all over the field and short possessions can't be what Stoops really wants.

-Charlie Robinson, RIP. 😢 My Hometown got a lot of play in the early crew days.

-If only there was a free place to park close to the stadium but I understand it may include talking to your internet friends... tough call. Let me know if I need to apply for a sidewalk fly by wave permit with the HOA.

-2(almost 3 year old) is a raving lunatic in the mornings until we pull into the school parking lot. Then turns on the charm and is an angel. F*cking charlatan.

-Book 1 of Harry Potter and movie down. The movie kinda sucked compared to the book. G enjoyed though.

-Perfect weather for B2BC.
