The fam took a trip to New England for Fall break this year. Flew into Boston on Saturday morning, drove up to Salem that afternoon then on to Freeport, Maine to stay the night there.

Woke up Sunday and drove on up to Bar Harbor after hitting a few picturesque coastal towns along the way.

Stayed Sunday night - Wednesday morning in Bar Harbor/Acadia.

Drove to Kittery, Maine on Wednesday with a stop in Portland along the way.

Woke up Thursday and did all the Boston stuff Thursday late morning through Saturday morning.

HIGHLIGHTS:

* Maine is a "hidden" gem. Just breathtakingly beautiful. It's like the Smoky mountains, but with water everywhere.
* Lots of white people. It's like the Retired White Dork capital of the world. And lots of outdoorsy/hiking types. PTI would love it there.
* The weather was awesome.
* The food is fine. Really expensive.
* Best lobster roll was at Khaler's in Boothbay, Maine. Cool town.
* Bar Harbor is cool, but jacked up prices for the tourists and cruise ship visitors.
* Cadillac Mountain sunrise FTW!
* Boston was pleasantly clean and very walkable.
* Didn't fully understand the Italian impact on Boston. Obviously knew about the Irish impact on the town, but their Little Italy has to rival any other major US city. Lots of great little Italian restaurants, pizza places, and canoli places everywhere on the North End.
* The Freedom Trail and all of the historical hotspots hit you with those patriotism vibes.
* You only get craft beer out of the tap up there. $8+ select small batch private brewery selections.
* Randomly drove in to Portsmouth, NH the day we got to Kittery. Walked the sidewalks and stumbled upon The Goat sports bar. They had honest-to-god 10 cent wings. Thought there was a catch, but nope. Just order one of those full price drinks. You could only order 10 at a time, but it was legit. They were well portioned and I didn't catch diphtheria. Just like Hooter's circa '94-'95. It was that Dime Time, boi!

July 17 is national tattoo day, Wayne. Schedule your bitching accordingly.
Maybe we should have a "National 'Only Jagoffs Get Tattoos' Day" also on July 17. And then we'll have a bunch of political leaders from one party tweet about it, which will piss off the people with tattoos, and no one will get along. That would be real smart!

That joke was about a 2/10.

Take it easy on Wayne, his beloved Braves are down 3-0 and would be in a 2 game hole to the Phillies if the score holds. This also goes to show that you were right again about the best team winning every year if they were to get swept.

Edit: Who doesn't love a reverse jinx?

PTI(pti) posted the Miami finish, but it was a drunken late & rage fueled Saturday night, seemed glossed over.

Again, if you missed. Truly one of the worst and most inexcusable losses of all time, especially given Miami’s situation & new momentum.

Mario actually has a history of this gaffe (Oregon), but a funny tidbit is the OC for this one = Shannon Dawson 🤣

Just incredible

I can excuse some poor clock mismanagement at times. It's easy as a fan - who doesn't need to think about calling the play - to focus on when the right time is to take a timeout or clock the football when you're down by a few points and are trying to score.

But for the life of me I can't figure out what the hell Miami was thinking. Your focus when you're up a few points late is to figure out how to get to the point where you can take a knee. Like you should be doing the math after each play - and if you aren't sure of yourself tell the QB to take a timeout with 1 second left on the play clock.

I’m sure if it had worked they would have liked it. Or something along those lines.

Without doing any research, my guess is that it's all wanting something to rival St. Patrick's day and the celebration of all things Irish in this country. One thing I learned from my paternal grandparents, is that there are generations of Italians who REALLY hate the Irish in America.

And it's unfortunately not just Columbus Day targeted for demonization (no allowance or attempt at balance etc)

MLK day should be better served as Civil Rights Month and include a wide range of figures - not just the ones the Bolshie's worship

Presidents Day should reframe as Constitution / Civics day or som......**** did I really just say that?

No Blue Oyster Cult day?
No care

FK all y'all Melungion flat headed heathen ---

PS - there definitely shield be months dedicated to food and music

and maybe various strains of cannibis

but that's IT -- keep it simple you freaking Mongoloid Water Heads!

I got banned because of the tattoo thread. The exchange was something like this…..

random poster: “Tattoos are trashy.”
PTI (pti): “Your mom is trashy.”

Boom. 6 months in jail. Had serious “Al Capone got busted for tax evasion” vibes.

Your momma darts are tasty and well balanced retro/hip

But I also laugh at fat ppl falling down and dogs that SCOOCH their itchy asses on the ground

(not out loud on that last item though -= I have decorum)

PS - the # is 7 ,.... that's my current count of football injuries where the player in his "PE pants" ---- gets a painful knee injury ,,,, but announcers aren't certain what happened -- ditto for the sideline oracles......

whatever mystery thing this is - seems to happen in the unprotected and bare nekid area extending from mid thigh to the upper shin

hopefully the NIL investors figure it out;)

-I mean we really should be celebrating Leif Erikson day anyway...the president agrees:

+1 for Nikola Tesla day
(bonus points since he was a slavic immigrant who took on THE MAN!)

Can't believe we aren't clamoring to leverage human cloning tech to bring simulacrums of these ppl back
and -- I dunno -- appear at museums to CORRECT PPL or appear on the View or square off in actual combat vs ice another

Cloned Ghengis Khan takes on (still) illiterate but always fiery Proph Mohammed

Winner advances against the survivor of the Benito Moussolini / Rasputin match

The wealthy types that normally rent small private submarines could pay to get in the ring with Ivan the Terrible or play chess with Nebechudezzar

Whatever -

-didn't listen to the call in show... did the coach actually blame Saturday's performance on lack of NIL money?

He got challenged by a caller on a correct stat that he has 2 SEC wins against teams with winning records. To be fair many of those teams finished 4-4. This pissed him off he said it in the moment and challenged the fans to "pony up" to get uga caliber players. Bad look from a top 10 paid coach.

Just beat mizzou.

Last thing we need is to hit Piglet with the ‘bad look’ guilt trip and a distraction from the task at hand. Beat the **** out of Drink’s Twinks and move on to a nice little bye week.

Luther Burden is uncoverable, so we best have a game plan to beat up Brady Cook.

Season on the brink.

-that is a very unprofessional response. Sends a message to his players that they're not good enough, taking zero responsibility for his results... all by letting some ******* radio show caller shake him. Sounds like some **** Cal would say.

^this is the kind of thing that loses a fan base. He just put a helluva lot more pressure on himself. A loss to Mizzou and it'll get very uncomfortable around BBN.

-I've been team stoops from day 1 through thick/thin(still am)... but this is a very bad look.
