White keeps getting **** on but the D wasn’t the problem. The fact that Coen gets no blame is ridiculous. Those long passes on 3rd down are just back breakers and he has been awful all year.

Now, whether that is because he and Stoops aren’t on the same page, well who knows.
And Coen picked Leary over Mertz at 5x the NIL $.

Give me Coach Sumrall. I’ll take my chances with him. I guarantee we will be prepared and know how to run a two minute drill. Also, the basic strategy of end of half play.

Troy is 20-2 in their last 22 games under John Sumrall. A loss to a 10-1 James Madison team (24-21) and Kansas St.

There is no way to be fair and blame Cohen for Leary. Seriously the kid is not good.

Say it’s tempo vs non tempo

Say it’s the drops etc, at the end of the day(I ate the saying) the kid is not good. At some point he has to be a player you can trust to read and make decisions……..and he absolutely sucks!

It’s not popular but a true FR Cutter Boley next season will look better than Leary.

I’m not sure what B10 opening it takes but I’m ok now with whatever it takes to open up and Stoops leave and us find a different coach.

I’ll always love the guy like Brooks, but it’s probably time. I hate it.

That is going pretty much as expected in the comment section. Between that and the Davis tweet I’d say the locker room is shot, once again. Which seems to be yet another common thread of Stoops’ teams.

I really believe that Stoops has an identity crisis with this team. He wants to be a modern passing team but that just isn’t who he is and it is just damn near impossible to be something/someone you aren’t.

Honestly I’m a fan of UK and Titans football. Both head coaches are similar with their defense and run the ball old school feel.

Year after year the game becomes catered to offensive schemes being the way to go.

One of “my” teams needs a change because I’m at my wits end with this scheme. I understand it and as a football fan I love it, but it just isn’t a real option anymore.

I’m drunk and reserve the right to admit I’m an idiot tomorrow.

No matter what though, football isn’t THIS hard.

Feels a lot like the 2014-15-17 seasons with end of season melts. Players and family tweeting stupid ****, losing out down the stretch, Stoops looking clueless.

Hopefully Murray fires Dean Hood and we can bring him back, because the years we had him were the few seasons we didn’t look like idiots on the sidelines when it came to clock management…. And seemed to have good DBs, to boot

Brad White seems to get s*** on a lot on this thread, but if you go on the road in the SEC and only give up 17 points, you should win the game. If you play ANY college football team and only score 14, you should lose.

Liam Coen was supposed to be the guy to come in an revolutionize the offense, he was the boy wonder who was to be an NFL head coach, the Prodigal Son returning to Lexington.......we cannot score. I think Stoops is equally to blame, but our O is absolute dogs***. Davis has become less of a focus, our wide receivers can't catch, our QB can't throw over the D-line, we're unprepared, we're slow, we throw the ball deep way too much considering it's a weakness of our QB.....so anyways. F Liam Coen. This dude was coaching at Maine 5 years ago. Sounds about right.

stoops is not a leader plain and simple. They dont respect him and these are the results you get in football. Im still hot what a joke.

Leary isn’t what he was supposed to be. I think it starts there, but everyone not named Ray Davis has been a massive disappointment on that side of the ball. Including the coaches. And we have gone from folks being desperate to keep Key and Brown to now not giving a **** if they leave.

- Such a fine line in the SEC - especially at Kentucky. They’re always coming. Everyone is always coming. Mizzou is a Top 7-8 team now. ****, Florida, SC and Tennessee all have Top 15 classes coming in.

- It’s a nickel in one hand, five cents in the other with who’s most to blame for our gawd awful passing game. Leary is horrible. Misses big passes that should be elementary for a guy of his rep with regularity. Then when he finally hits one, our primadonna WRs drop or fumble. It’s maddening.

- Losing to this SC team is unacceptable.

- Spoil Louisville’s season or this season is our worst since 2015.

  • after 11 years, Piglet still can’t manage a clock or a lead.
  • 3 and forever, our defense has been an abortion.
  • How many tackles Weaver have last night.
  • Coen has too many motions, too many personnel groupings. Run every offensive play staring down a depleted play clock and we can’t adjust blocking in time.
  • Kattus is a penalty machine.
  • Key is a *****
  • Brown is a c*nt
  • Our OLine played well.
  • 3rd and 8 ? Chuck a 40yrd Shannon Dawson bomb over Barions head… every. Time. It won’t work, but if it did, it would be magical.
  • Stoops has to clean house. Or leave. Either. Need dogs. Identity…

Mags posted a link to a podcast with Max Duffy and Miles Butler breaking down the Vandy loss and the general state of the program. It is an hour and I only started listening to it but Duffy's initial comments struck me. Paraphrased, this is how he opened:

When you have a loss like that to a team like that, it is not a representation of talent or just a bad one-off effort. It is lots of little things that have happened over a period of 6, 12, 18, 24 months that have gone continuously wrong and the standards have slipped. It is times like this when you find out that the standards we used to have have clearly fallen away this year.

Ouch.

That seems to be correct. There seem to be a lot of guys (coaches and players) who believed their own hype and didn't do the hard work that had earned that hype.

Duffy is going to have a great career in sports media. Dude is a star.

This still all seems relevant.

This football season as a whole sucks.

NFL- I don’t need to get into it.

UK- underperformed and was kinda shitheels whole doing so.

UL- sometimes teams that don’t deserve it get all the bounces. They seem to be having one of those years.

Since the universe revolves around me, I expect a 14 point Louisville win and then to win the ACCCG while the Nengals actually scrape together some ******** wins- not enough to ruin any rivals’ seasons but enough to knock their draft stock down to “4th best OL prospect in the draft/Day 2 TE project” level.

I think our prima-donas have taken this program hostage.

Leary has taken a beating this year - especially in SEC play - and is playing hurt.

Stoops needs to divide up 75% of his salary to Lynn Bowden, Benny Snell, and Schlarman’s estate.

The team has clearly quit.

Stoops has lost this locker room. . . again. This seemed to be a problem when he was on the hot seat the first time around.

I respect what he’s done, but is he the only coach out there to do what he’s done here?

If this all sounds too harsh, he makes 9 million a year. He’s being paid like a coach that is supposed to go 10-2 or better EACH season, not produce a .500 ball club. Need more ROI. He better have a rabbit up his sleeve this off-season and hit that portal hard. I fear the worst looms on the horizon.
