On the Lex chicken front:

Tried to grab Popeye's on Sunday around 3:00--Nope.

1+ hour wait for food, 45 minute wait just to order. #hilljack

Wodie... King's Wings was deep on Broadway and that was the go to for several years. Brought them to the 09 Christmas Extrav at PTI's.

Place was seedy but that was part of the charm. Bars on windows. Cash only. Parking lot scene was like a scaled down version of Freaknik. Always some drama going on inside the joint. Wings were the fire though.

Last time I went the place was totally abandoned and there was this janky sign hanging on the door.. "We Closed."

From that point forward I switched my dry spicy hot wing allegiance to Indi's.

Good news for anyone that frequents Lake Cumberland, Russell County voted in favor of full liquor sales in the whole county.
Earlier today, I signed off on my "final" 3D model file of map of KY I'm having milled out of solid wood. It is 44" wide and will be mounted above my fireplace.

Each individual county is "extruded" 1" off of a 1/2" base of the entire state (with an 1/8" reveal between the counties).

The top face of each county cants to a cardinal direction based on that county's liquor laws.

This is bad news for me. Sucks real bad.

Thanks for this heads-up though. I might catch it in time.

(I will try to post page format ruining pics to annoy BBdK at a later date.)

You cot damn right.

-Officially out for SECT, btw. Better to make the decision when I'm not mad & fuming & get all the ridicule out of the way early...but, it's done.

Looking forward to picking back up next year with the Monsta Squad. :sunglasses:
What's the trade off on that? 2 solo/guys Vegas trips? If so, worth it.

Hope you're able to update it once it's done because Adair County will likely go wet within the next 6 months. Seems like dry counties are dropping quickly over the last year.

And then there's Grayson County.

I think I'll just leave it.

The same thing happened with artwork on my son's wall that referenced the zodiac sign of his due date. He was born three weeks early and totally screwed it all up.

Man, I just can't get into Indi's for any other reason than college/broke nostalgia factor.

You can get better chicken/wings/whatever literally ANYWHERE, jmo.

70% of that 50 piece doesn't even contain a real full bite of chicken, TS.

Rather have a box of semi-stale wings from Kroger Deli & a bottle of hat sass, jmo.

Plus, if you're going ghetto wings, the River City has a plethora of ghetto places down on Broadway or wherever that are better...and you know this bc you've brought Chicken King and others in the past, right?

False, Indi's have some very good wings, especially for the price, like 18 for $9. Not your lane here boss.

BTW that ghetto chicken u speak of on Broadway is Indi's.

I don't think Joey is joking. I remember him telling the story about the nursery artwork when his kid was born.

- I wish Joey was like everyone else in GYERO.

- If Devin Booker came back, would he be having a JJ Redick type season right now? That dude is a stud.

Had to take the wife into work this morning. This snow arrived at basically the worst possible time. Also, one of our furnaces is out at home. Currently 57 degrees in my living room. Awesome. Hopefully, we can get it resolved before the Others descend upon us this weekend riding their giant ice spiders commanding their army of undead wights.

We also have to go to Kroger either today or tomorrow. Sunday is our usual grocery day, but it was mom's birthday so we didn't make it. Now we are out of damned near everything. I probably only have two days worth of coffee left. That must be remedied.

Really unfortunate the Kansas game isn't this Saturday. Team could come back to Lexington from Fayetteville late Thursday night and then get "stranded" in Lexington. Gee, doesn't look like we can get a plane out of here before Monday morning. Sorry, Jayhawks. Guess you'll have to take your revenge next year.

Roads were *really* bad...about as bad as I remember on a day that I actually came into work, at least when pure ice wasn't involved.

-Yep, smooth 32 last night for Booker. Ugh. Sad to think about...

-Kansas looks like complete dogshit right now, I think we can keep it under 20

Getting 2" of snow between 5-7am is a million times worse than get 6-8" of snow from 8pm-12am.

- Indi's is the best fried chicken in Lexington hands down, Richie's on Gtown is 2nd.
- B$ hit up Kroger at 5 am this morning, said there wasn't much of a crowd
- This snow can get pumped
- Our bball team will be fine, I think they make a good run in the tourney to salvage the 8 or 9 loss regular season
- Our shipping container business has blown up, we had a marketing/publicity plan set to launch in early February. The LHL showed up on one of our jobsites a couple of weeks ago and did a story, the following day we had news channels and random people on our site non-stop, like a damned circus. For the last two weeks people have just been walking into our office to ask about these things. Not bad considering we've not even started spending money on marketing yet.

He will make a first call for snowfall at some point tonight once he gets model runs that are 24 hours out from the start of the storm. Sounds like we are in for at least 6-8" and maybe over a foot.

We need to meet Joey, that's for sure. Although I have no idea what he's talking about 95% of the time he's around enough it's time to put face to the persona. Kansas game watch party is a great opp. Same for Maxx, although we've met.
