My daughter is now insisting on multiple active water bottles. It’s ridiculous.

Water bottles are all the rage these days with the kiddos. I guess because they take them to school. We have 97 in the pantry and about 50 lids with only like 3-4 matching pairs.

The Gatorade ones are absolute trash.

What happened to water fountains or drinking from the hose? Did we even drink water as kids? I don't think so.

Old man went to the UK vs LSU game in February 90. Pitino’s Bombinos vs Chris Jackson, freshman Shaq and Stanley Roberts. LSU whipped the Cats earlier that year in Baton Rouge and from what I remember reading Pitino and Dale Brown basically squared off during a dead ball and almost came to fisticuffs. Something like Dale Brown shook his fist at one the Kentucky players and Pitino wasn’t having any of it so he charged that crazy sob.

He’s been to a bunch of big ones at Rupp but he swears up and down that’s the loudest the place has ever been from tipoff until the final horn and 24,000 plus stood the entire time. Cats won 100-95.

I guess part of it was Kentucky wasn’t on live tv that year due to probation but also the style of play with the Unforgettables running, pressing and shooting 3’s.

I remember listening to Cawood on the call on 840 WHAS and the crowd was so damn loud on the AM dial you could hardly hear Ralph Hacker on the color commentary( which may have been a blessing in disguise).

I remember my dad talking about that game. This memory may have gotten messed up over the years, but I recall hearing that fans were lined up waiting for the LSU bus to come to Rupp and were just going crazy on LSU. I miss that energy.

Stanleys are great, but the lass has that exact one. The base is way too small and she knocks it over 5x a day, minimum. It also doesn’t fit in any cup holder, and you should see the shock on her face when we turn a corner in a moving vehicle and it falls over. Amazing.

Very concerned about tomorrow.

First real hostile road environment.

Anybody know if Big Z is actually back in Lex?

-Stuck in traffic but knew that would happen. Whatever, not getting there til after 1 either way.

-Was at the Calathes game too, shew boy, wild. We HATED UF in the aughts.

-I take water most everywhere but I’ve been doing that since college so 20 years for me, nothing new. I reckon it’s just cool now because outside the coffee shop reading every dang girl that walks in has a bottle and many guys too, probably only fill it once too.

Transformative, holistic approach

Bathroom- 12:30 Saturday afternoon, bar I go to, already needed a good cleaning from people missing their target. Disgusting.

Add misuse/overuse of fascist.

I read a great interview from his dad. His dad was very complementary of UK and said they didn't think he would get the playing time next year that he wants so he went ahead and transferred. Pretty mature approach and I hope he lands with Sumrall's squad.

My wife, along with having multiple Stanley’s, also has a giant brewmate that looks like a handle of Don Julio 1942 except it’s rainbow colored, insists on taking it in the car everywhere, barely drinks from it, and it doesn’t fit in any cup holder and just causes constant arguments between us

All the girls at my work also have these giant 128oz jugs for water and hash marks with motivational sayings on them “Almost there - just 16 more ozs to drink!”. For water. Like WTF.

Sunny D was recommended for us as children, or kool aid, or Hi-C, CapriSun, basically anything but water.

For my money the best fast casual sandwich chain is PotBelly. Always consistent, and for someone that likes spice some of their offerings can bring some serious heat

I was at each of the 1989-90 LSU, 1990-91 Kansas and the 1998-99 Maryland games and I would rank them in terms of sustained crowd noise for an entire game as:

1) 1989-90 LSU
2) 1990-91 Kansas
3) 1998-99 Maryland

There just isn't anything comparable to the crowd noise in Rupp during Pitino's 1st 3 seasons. That's when I was a student and Pitino did a great job of immediately engaging the students and begging them to attend and make an impact.

The rest of the fans followed suit. It was the extremely rare case of UK fans accepting that we were underdogs while nobody resented the coach or players for that fact.

BBN was out for blood at Rupp for Kansas’s Dec 1990 return visit after the 55-point blowout. We ran those MFer out of the gym.
I was one of them in there that night and i still say it was consistently the loudest Rupp has been for an entire game. Consistently being the key word in case anyone wants to argue the loudest. None were louder for longer.

. All these hoes drinking out of Stanley straws are going to get wrinkles around their mouths.

Stay hydrated, Wildcat Friends.

I like to think it isn’t about sucking on straws that is what will cause that. I could be wrong but if so I don’t wanna be right.

I’ll throw the UNC game during Cal’s first year here. We got down like 7-2 or something and Wall took over and we went on like a 21-2 run or something. The entire game wasnt the loudest but it was pretty damn loud during that run.

I think that’s about the time daggum Roy had to start taking a knee - anybody else remember that silly **** he’d pull? He’d start by needing to take his jacket off then the next thing you know he’d be on one knee with cotton shoved in his ears.

All this hydration pimping is a propaganda scheme by wokeback libtards to convince everyone how great water is and why drinking two 2-liters of Mountain Dew every day should be frowned upon for some reason (communism?) Just my opinion but I’ve done the research.
I think you forgot libos put estrogen in drinking water to make everyone the gay.

I took the lass to her first ever game at Rupp for the Walsh (his hair still pisses me off)/UF #1 game in ‘03. I won’t argue it was louder than Calathes based on what people here are saying, but it was pretty rowdy. Went all out for the lowers on that one (not cheap for a 21yo CSC).

Was in the uppers for Tayshaun/UNC. Probably even between those two for me, especially after #5. Shewee.

The two loudest crowds in person were LSU '90 and 2nd would be Kansas '91. Nothing else comes close but I wasn't at Maryland '99 or Florida Calathes game.
I think everybody knows the energy around a big game and sometimes its becomes so big you literally feel it when you walk into a place and I don't think I ever felt it stronger in my life than that LSU game. LSU even with Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Stanley Roberts never stood a chance.
Sometimes that energy goes the wrong way. I still think the Pitino going to UofL on the eve of our tournament game against USC and Chapman with his Cal to Lakers ******** before the 2014 championship game just put together negative vibes out there that kept us from winning.

Yeah been a pretty “humbling” if confusing discovery that juice and juice-adjacent products really aren’t good for kids.

Nothing like the electricity surrounding Rupp before a big game. Everyone from grandmas to little kids to ushers are locked TF in. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

Speaking of hydration, what’s up with these “Refresher” drinks? Just looks like juice, but seem popular & sold by most coffee shops & even “nutrition” based places.

Related: Have always loathed sparkling water, but props where due to Sloot — I don’t understand how/why if it’s purely just water/CO2, but Topochico really does taste different & infinitely better than the rest. Been growing on me a good while & satisfies my unfortunate diet/zero crispy carbonated beverage cravings decently well.

Zyn & Topo 24. Baby steps.

-One of those UT games during the Harris/Black/Slay era is up there for me. Can’t recall which one it was.

Was also there for Slay’s Rupp finale. The standing O he received leaving the game as an ultimate villain was a pretty cool moment & reminder of BBN excellence; pure appreciation of a genuine 3/4 year rivalry & back & forth with a hated group of guys.

Different era likely never to be repeated in that regard, but man I really miss those.

Watching that Florida video, I remember thinking Cats had a good chance to make a run with that Brandon Knight team. They’d lost a lot of close ones on the road all year but kicked the **** out of a decent Florida team in the SEC tourney. We drew Ohio state and I had a feeling we’d knock them out, team was hitting on all cylinders.

Was among the weirdest SEC seasons ever for us. You could tell we were good and we were very likable but just dropped close conference game after game. Our analytics were tremendous all year. Ohio State- one of my favorite non-UK rosters of the past 15 years - got screwed.

Was at that Florida game where Tayshaun hit that sweet lefty hook to win the game, what a smooth cat he was. Also was at the UNC game when he hit those 5 threes. Those were my personal loudest moments. However it’s very humbling to see the quality of those highlights when we were students there look like those of a Charlie Chaplin film. Tubby even looks young there. Like WTF how old am I getting

I was still pretty young but I Remember feldaus trying to guard Shaq the game at LSU. That was unreal just how big and athletic young Shaq was
