If in 2014 or whatever you would’ve told me Cal would be here 15 years I would’ve guessed we would have minimum 3 championships. What a mess of a legacy he’s leaving. What a massive disappointment
It's like he won the lottery, lost his mind, and moved into a trailer park, where he spends his days drinking Early Times, doing scratch-offs, and watching day time TV in his pajamas...

- Top 10 match-up
- Rival playing at Rupp

Long winded post, possibly and most likely….

As fans we want what we want. It’s our job, so when we scream for 3s or more up paced basketball that’s what we are supposed to do. Basically second guess everything when we aren’t winning.

But as the Head f’ing coach it’s your job to know your talent and your opponent. So in a game such as this when you see game tape where USC did the same to UT as they did to you, then as the coach it’s your job to know running with these guys might not be our best path to success.

We are chock full of FR, which is 95% potential. Therefore they need you as a coach to teach them and prepare them whereas a UT, UF, KU, USC, etc etc etc have mostly upperclassmen that know and understand strategy.

We don’t have the luxury of being stubborn with straight man to man. You as the coach have to be willing to experiment and see what lineups can do what and how change of pace affects the opponent.

Thats your 9M job. At the end of the day this is just basketball and most strategies don’t honestly change to the point it’s this damn hard with FR talent or upperclassmen leadership.

You’ve failed with either and simply put you just don’t coach enough.

I’ll end with this. As a fan, I’m invested as a 44 year old that only knows UK and lives for this so I’m here and I’ll cheer these kids like we are supposed to win every game because I want to.

That said, I won’t pretend I don’t see coaching inefficiencies and I won’t pretend just because you have an ego the size of Jupiter that I’m an ignorant uppie when you pull your uppity press conference I told you so’s.

I appreciate the excitement and energy you brought back to us at UK. But please and kindly put see yourself out and let us be what we are! Take your money and GTFO.

I somehow ended up eating dinner, and drinking lots of wine with, a lady who grew up with Tupac. With this shitshow on in the background lol. I wasn’t previously aware of the level of Tupac’s brilliance. (Literally - as in like I/Q scores, etc.)

-Mitchell with 5 points in the last two games, that hurts.

-He did once there at the end but I wish sometimes Sheppard would start bombing when the points aren’t coming from other places.

-James had triple his average and Ziegler has double of course.

-Very strange to seem to consistently get worse as the season goes too often.

-Dillingham and Thiero were the only two players in the positive in the +/-.

-Giving up 103 to UT at Rupp, Jiminy Christmas.

This is what you get when you rent players for 1 year, whether one and dones or transfers. Starting over from scratch every year doesn't work, especially against mature physical teams like we saw tonight.

Dillingham outscores Knecht by 19. And yet, we still get embarrassed at home. Our bigs were incredibly inept tonight. 4 total points out of that group?

Sorry, John. I've given you way more of a leash that you deserved since the meltdown vs Auburn in the E8. It's time to move on and let someone else clean up your mess.

Simple parlay-- Dilly, Reed, and Knecht all over 1.5 3s. $20 for $94. F#ck you, Dalton.

His teams GET WORSE throughout the year. And then the drama starts behind the scenes with “injuries” and “illness.” It’s a pattern. And this has been the pattern since 2015. His teams NEVER IMPROVE!!!!

What kind of coach would he be with a roster of non-NBA talent? A team of 2 and 3 stars? Ask yourself that. Look at all of the NBA talent right now that played here. 7 all-stars and 2 that should’ve made it and are current stars anyway. It’s insane.

And 1 championship? Not even a Final Four this decade?!?!? Can’t even get out of the way and back in to one on accident?? I guess that’s what ‘11 and ‘14 were. Blind luck. Accidents. What a humbling look.

Is this the best UK can do for its flagship program? Hell, he’s operating this ship like it’s not even a part of the university. Or the city. Or the state. Or the overall history of the program. It’s like it’s his own club team/franchise mode team. His brand. His storyline(s). And it sucks. Hit the reset button already and get some sort of pride/basketball savvy injected into this program again. It ain’t there right now, and it won’t be there as long as that con-artist is still in the seat.

9-16 is my guess.

I still laugh out loud at those that acted like Bradshaw was a better option than Oscar.
Blaming his pick and roll defense and supposed drama. Talk about an all timer.

At practice on Monday, it’s paramount to take the edge off. I suggest a game of dodgeball for that end. Wrap it up with a pep talk from 7 NBA all stars about the importance of team and being your brothers keeper to motivate the team. That should be worth about 10 toughness points and would make us better at defending the pick and roll and baseline oob.
