Pope’s five years at BYU are nearly identical to his predecessor’s last 5, record wise. There is no justification for this at all
GTFO with that. He won a title as a player here. We can be super pissed about the choice, but you can't mutiny a former player as the coach.
Mitch probably rushed things with Drew and overall and there's a perception out there that it's a toxic place to work based on his and Cal's volatile relationship. Cal has been badmouthing him too to anyone that will listen.

I’m not gonna hate on Pope but if he is the guy then it feels like a panic move to me. I said a few weeks back that I liked Pope but to from Drew/Hurley/Donovan/ to him is a head scratcher.

I had heard that Mitch had royally screwed some stuff up but I never thought it would lead to this.
I would invite you all to watch that video I posted, and then imagine that system with, as UCL so eloquently said, running it with "good players/black players" LOL
