Picking up our new buddy tomorrow morning. He's a golden, 8 weeks old and his name is Rupp aka Lil Baron.

Can't wait for tomorrow. Going to be an adventure with a new pup in the house but it'll all be worth it.

:smiley::smiley::smiley:

Hopefully from a breeder and not some used dog factory like a shelter.

After lunch randoms:

Was on a rough flight last night into Charlotte. Flew through a pretty good storm, turbulence actually knocked open some over head compartments and a small child, i believe, **** all over himself a few rows up. Also, the Asian lady next to me was flying with a Paro. For those that have seen Master of None, you know how weird those are. The lady was dressing it up and taking video.

Think its under 10 points tomorrow but we never make a real challenge. Have a bad feeling we see Willis come back down to earth a bit and Alex is due to have his **** the bed game again.

Moving the BGE back to Alabama this weekend. Had it in storage since we sold the house. It will be staged on my in laws patio but at least it will get some sunlight again. Also excited to try out my new plate setter/griddle combo.

Jones new podcasts are a good listen. I dont dislike KSR by any means, and its always back in the rotation during the March run, but it got a bit stale for my daily listening habits. So far I like the diversity of topics- it will be interesting to see if hes able to maintain good guest for a random mix of topics. I would imagine outlining the shows content is as difficult as doing the actual show. Open to new-non sports podcasts recs for my increased time i am spending on the road.

Twice last week, a house went under contract as we were preparing an offer- like the same day we looked at the house. Tough process, especially from a distance.

1. Spake (duh)
2. Stark
3. Arrington
4. Cox

Have never had a tax guy do our taxes- weve always just turbo taxed. But with rental incomes and a home sale (before two years) bc of job relocation- I may farm that out this year. I dont want to mistakenly get hit with capital gains taxes bc i didnt know all of the rules to apply when moving for a job, and crap like that.

Worked with a guy this last week who was my counterpart at the College of The Atlantic. Which is a college on an island just off the coast of Maine. Under 400 students total, and not many people at all on the island. Crazy setup- cant really imagine being that isolated.

College baseball on the horizon. Realizing im the only one here who follows recruiting/college baseball, it still ranks high on my list of sports interest. Lot of folks think UL gets it done this year, which is disappointing. SEC all over the preseason polls (1. UF, 3. Vandy, 4. A&M, 7. LSU, 15. MSU, 17. USC, 25. Arky), but I think UK has a rough go this year.

Was reading on the release of one of the US citizens who had been held captive in Iran. While being held, he was still provided with water, showers, food, etc... and now he is back in his hometown of Flint, Michigan where there is still apparently mud and feces with lead coming through the taps.

Cant really rank the major gas station chains bc they differ a bit down here, but Buddy's gas and grocery is by far the best in western Alabama. Quality petro, and a dynamite lunch basket.

Ha, congrats Rich. A new pup is the best, enjoy.

-1st trip to Actors tonight. See a show every few months around here, but for some reason never end up there. Peter & Starcatcher, should be pretty wodie.

Got a request that "I'd like to do something together just me & you this weekend at some point" -- of course, that came 20 minutes after I alerted her I was heading out with the guys Saturday night for the game. So predictable.

How's Milkwood? Makes sense given it's in the same building...main menu doesn't get me too excited, is there a bar area for a few drinks & appys pre show?

- Catlanta... We're picking him up from a breeder. We did our due diligence.

- Wodie.. Milkwood is a cool space. In the basement. Been a few years but think I went with some variation of Chicken n Waffles. Their old fashioned was solid. Great atmosphere for a date night pre show. Enjoy.

- So intrigued about this game. Want to say it's a solid matchup for us and I'm picking up very confident vibes from the players and coaches. Body language, Cal's remarks and I believe this team has finally found an identity and how they want to play.

That atmosphere though. Margin of error is so small on the road in a hostile environment.

- My parents got a golden retriever puppy a few months back to pair with their 7-year-old. Love those dogs.

- Scout breaks down our recruiting class player-by-player and how they've played this year. Think we're going to be okay next year. :basketball::pray:

- It's not "nothing to lose" because it's Kentucky, but the pressure is definitely on the Jayhawks tomorrow. Weird feeling.

So true. Self has about the same winning % in Allen Fieldhouse as Cal does at Rupp in double the games. Self is 200-9, I believe, and Cal is like 102-4. A win would be quite tasty.

Jennifer Aniston at 47 is about as hot for a "older' woman as it gets.

4 Huck's starting construction as we speak here in BG.

Cats win at the buzzer, Murray with a drive to the lane, pull up J from 12, 76-75 Big Blue.

Happy for you man. I'm trying to talk the wife into another pup soon. She wanted to wait longer, as in a year or so. I want one now. Got her to agree to middle of June, which is after a weeks vacation to Florida.

Gonna go with a vizsla this time.

Was thinking of a similar name for ours.

Jayhawks by 14. We've still improved by leaps and bounds, and things are definitely looking up, but we're not going into AF and coming out with a win. It gets away from us at the end. Not really a reflection of where we are. Might even be good to keep the kids hungry and humble and so on.

Stupid funny is the best funny imo.

Looking forward to UK playing in a big game "loose". That's the best UK.

Cats by 5, expectations back to ridiculous!

- Roddy Rhodes has a squad, that's for sure. 7'0, 6'7, 6'6, 6'4, 5'11 was what they had on the floor at one point. We were without our "big guy" (6'2) because he rolled his ankle Monday night. We have been without our 6'3 athletic slasher all year. And our best/tallest player is also 6'2. We're tiny before the injuries, but now? Yeah . . .

- Didn't know they grew them so tall up in the coal mines, or so . . . "tan." We were down 7 with the ball with 1:00 to go until halftime, and not really playing all that sharp. Called a TO to get a good look. We decided to improvise, turn it over, and they go up 9 heading into halftime. In the second half, we had no answer. We played really hard and competitive until it got away from us at the end of the 3rd. They are extremely good. And only dress 8 guys. So when I went to the bench, they went to 6'6, and 6'4.

- And we played at 7:30 in the morning, Central Time. Clearly an Eastern Time bias.

- I think UK matches up well with KU. Their strengths are our strengths. I'd feel pretty good if this game were played on a neutral floor. As it is, I'm not sure our guys can overcome the Phog. Kansas by 9.

- There is no worse pickup basketball player than the "Ball, ball" guy trying to get a cheap steal by tricking the opposing player to throw it to him. Even worse when "Ball, ball" guy had already played about 3 games with the victim earlier. What a loser.

- I'll be opening up our gym in the spring for any south central ballers. Spears drove up once and shot with me. Kid really stroked it. Hell, I may even drive up to Louisville for one of these runs if you guys are still alive/haven't been kicked out yet.

- Russell Athletic has some cool, light weight reversible practice gear. Heavy duty, dry mesh material. It's probably the best thing in their line.

Cats drop it by 8 imo.

If it is tight down the stretch I trust Tyler Ulis way more than Kansas fan should trust Mason tho.

I tried to listen to a podcast at 1.5x speed and then 2x and I laughed and laughed. I see the appeal. Everything sounds better when chipmunks say it. Like that hilarious snow video narrated by a chipmunk. It's just classic comedy.

Called on a customer recently that had an Australian Shepherd. Man that is a CAF dog. I felt like stealing her not only because she's so cool but because he's a fat hick that lives in a trailer with no HVAC.

Am on my 2nd Aussie. Blue merle with nice brown markings. They are a cool dog. Super smart. She has learned how to open the door and let herself in the garage. She only figured this out because we decided to block her off into the kitchen. After about a week, she was in the garage on her own. Leave her free run of the house and she won't mess with the garage.

I'll either get another Aussie after this one or bite the bullet on a real border collie.

If your brain is too slow to simultaneously process accelerated speech and adjusted timbre, that is a tough row to hoe in life.

I applaud your efforts on this website and sincerely apologize if I ever poked fun at your or your communication skills. I had no idea - only an inkling, tbh.

UKO, so you're saying dogs like to run around outside? Maybe I should rethink this whole thing.

I'm well aware of the exercise requirements, thnx
