Underrated part of Cal getting tossed:

We played zone and actually stuck with it for a bit. Arkansas wasn't ready because Cal never does it.
It also probably helped Hagans stay in the game longer than he would have otherwise.

Maybe throw in a little more of that going forward, John. (He won't.)

Opposing BB fans should feel the same sense if impending doom when Calipari gets tossed as we do when a backup QB comes in.

Brooks with some ballsy FT's late was very encouraging.

Had to lol at the IMMEDIATE switch to zone after the ejection.

Old school date last night. Kaelins and Comedy Caravan. Lee Cruise whad the headliner. Not bad. Solid B.

Brooks is the one player I can’t place / figure out

He doesn’t remind me of any other player ...

My limited basketball mind tells me “he’s a 4” when I look at him

It seems like he has a solid foundation and can do a few different things well but doesn’t excel in any particular skill

I’m hoping he stays three years and develops a nasty streak and a “garbage game” to go with it ...

but maybe he’s more of a finesse player ...

Proceed to completely take the wind out of their sails on offense and actually attack their defense. Crazy, I know.

After yesterday our best five should start with Brooks and Juzang to spell the 3/4 and EJ in spot minutes if Nick gets into foul trouble or needs a blow. No point in making this difficult. Whitney should learn some splash animations for big threes or something.
