This is a 20-30 ranked team this year. Why we're not playing at that level is obvious.
We get our best lineup like 3-5 minutes per game and it's an accident. Our best shooter played like 5 minutes.
It's so negligent, I swear, it seems on purpose.

I started to say "We're 5-11, how much more humility does he need?"
But you can be damn sure that if he wins the last two games of the season he and the KSR guys will start the spin of "They just figured it out too damn late, Covid affected the team, they went through a lot of hardships, nobody wanted to see us in the tournament, Damion Collins is coming, I'm hearing Tshiebwe looks like a young Shaq in practice..."
Gonzaga has 4 one seeds in the last 5 seasons, assuming they get one this season.

There has been a changing of the guard. We aren't at the top of college basketball. We've been supplanted by the likes of Gonzaga, Baylor, Villanova, and Virginia. After what is likely to be another mass exodus and what appears to be a ho-hum recruiting class without an elite prospect, we are looking at another season on the treadmill of mediocrity.
The OAD approach is corrupted. It seems like Cal has been consumed by it. He's being pulled by vectors not attached to on the court performance and it's not paying off in recruiting. It's time to rebrand and restructure.
Ongoing, Allen/Brooks/Jackson all should play 30 minutes a game. Play any guard with them. It doesn't matter. We go 4-out-1-in and play something resembling a modern offense. The only stats I'm following from here are out will be 3 point attempts and Allen's minutes. If he doesn't play, Cal is not serious about the team now and in the future but rather wallowing in his own hubris.

Dont care at all about our uniforms, or Joel Justus- Just figure out a way to get to the final 4 and win titles. At this point maybe we'd all just be content with actually beating a better-seeded team come March (obviously we have to wait 13 months since this year has been an absolute slap in the face to anyone that has ever had a vested interest in UK basketball) since its been about 7 years since we've even done that.

I'm all aboard the AW Hamilton train. He can start tomorrow. I doubt there's a player on our current squad (other than Dontaie...) who could make it through one AW practice. You lil hoopmixtape allstars gonna learn how to R-U-N and G-O-O-O-O-O today.

-Have enjoyed time spent in Tampa. Nice traditional neighborhoods seemingly rare in Florida. Beach access. Gulf side. Home of perhaps the most random sporting event I've attended, the 2002 Outback Bowl between Ohio State and South Carolina. I threw up in the parking lot before from an Ybor City hangover but proceeded to get drunk again and smoke another pack of Parliaments. Mons. Nice New Year's trip tbh. Great town.
-Miss the SEC tournament weight loss/austerity regiments from Adrian and co. Made for great gyero material.
-My Knights should take care of business in a weekend double header against lowly Jacksonville Friday and Saturday at legendary Freedom Hall. Need Liberty and/or North Alabama to drop one soon in that horse race.
-FTR, I think JCPS schools should reopen but I tend to keep my opinion on that school system to myself as this catholic archdiocese school alum doesn't understand a damn thing about it. I will share, however, that if the west end wants to end bussing (or give options at least) and restore their neighborhood schools I think that sounds wise.
-I have one "nice" watch, an alligator leather SEIKO. I don't think that's a luxury brand or anything but looks sharp. I live in my apple watch, though.
-I've contemplated a signet ring for my right hand for years. Doubt I ever pull the trigger but I just might, MF.

In hindsight, and I love me some Tyler Ulis, the fact that a beloved, really good, 5’8” point guard was only a two year player here should have been a big red flag. THAT was the canary in the (friends of) coal mine imo. He should have been here 4 years and if it meant we lost out on a couple of recruits that were afraid they couldn’t beat him out, oh well.
I think all teachers should have the absolute right to stay at home & get paid until there are zero cases on Earth while children continue to stay at home suffering intellectually and emotionally. Not to mention underprivileged kids who aren’t receiving proper nourishment without school and the long term effects of staring at screen all day.
