I’m no food snob, but here in Louisville we have had Ruby’s for years. Is it really that big of a deal in Lexington?

- Got a Turkey on the smoker. Test run for Thanksgiving that we’ll carve up and make hot browns or whatever out of for the next week.

- Honestly thought UK/duke was tonight, damn!

- I’m fascinated by people that are different than how they are perceived. My newest dive into finding different things out about someone is Pimp C.

White Wayne would be disappointed that some people thought the Pimp was a hero!

- I wish I could make a football game, that invite for this week was much appreciated. But I just can not unleash our Krazy on such a fun event, and asking anyone to watch 7 kids and a demented old man doesn’t come cheap.

My brother got the family together last Saturday and we went out for lunch, it was the storming crab at the mall for Christ’s sake. He wasn’t paying obviously because well because. I was annoyed all the tvs were on the Arkansas vs Arkansas pine bluff game SECN. So obviously they hadn’t been changed in a week. He said well this is a nice restaurant and people don’t come here to watch football. I responded that this a frozen seafood restaurant in the middle of the country. Man people that never leave where they’re from besides vacation are weird.

UPDATE: The hen gaggle that mistakenly referred to Pad Thai as soup yesterday (which subsequently disoriented me, so to speak) confessed that they were referring to Pho and not Pad Thai during today's luncheon. But now I'm not even sure if I'd classify Pho as a soup. Is BBC contagious?

LATE: Dickens wrote serial novels in hopes that magazines would continue to give him paychecks for each publication date. Basically, he would draw out the plot like soap operas so he would keep getting paid. Very capitalist of him.

-Pho is most definitely soup, and incredible. Asian Soups/Curries/etc shouldn't count, worship all that stuff (had Thai Chicken Panang Curry last night)

Easy qualifier should be 'Soup' or similar adjective being commonly a part of its name.

Simply Thai's pho saved my life several times when I lived in Louisville. Absolutely nothing better for sinus stuff/respiratory infection.

HOWEVER: I don't think it's a meal all by itself. I always ordered a couple other things to go with it. But definitely one of the contenders for soups that could be the main feature of a meal.

LOL, some of you (not you Booker, just your post was my eye catcher but it was a dumb post) act like losing ON THE ROAD as underdogs in the SEC is some kind unheard of outcome. There are a number of Thai restaurants here in South Florida (probably elsewhere too) that serve sushi in addition to Thai food. To me, that would be like a Mexican restaurant serving Cuban food. Just totally disparate cultures with different foods.

BBdK is out of touch with current Asian restaurant trends. Dude is stuck back in 2005 when Asian eateries usually stuck to their specific cultural identity. Today’s Asian restaurants blend and fuse. I go straight to the well-travled Wayne Dougan for my Asian food recs. I’d suggest you do the same.
