I was catching up with this younger dude in my office today. Cool dude, still lives the life we all reminisce about.

He said he took home this hussy from the bar late last night. Psychiatry resident at UC - yikes. He doesn’t remember much, other than her awesome tits, but he believes he passed out mid-coitis.

Early this morning he gets a text, “look in your grill, *******.”

He walks out onto the porch and lifts the lid of his egg, and the ***** had unloaded vomit all inside of it [roll]

He was not fazed, however. When I left the office at 3:45 and checked in on him, he was pounding monster energy drinks, dipping grizzly pouches, billing hours, and getting ready for another go at it. God bless the young.

And some people say romance is dead.

Daily or cotidie, as they used to say.

Bus 81 update - My HS route doubled in size (number of students, not geographically) this year. One of the freshmen is a bit of an odd number.

This kid gets off at the first stop in the afternoon. It's a 4 way stop on Showalter Dr. and there are like 15 kids that get off at that stop.

Most go left, headed to the Section 8 apartments. This kid doesn't live down there. He lives about a 1/4 mile farther up Showalter, in the direction I'm going after I resume the route. I've told him that he could stay on and I'd drop him off at his house, but he's not having it.

I guess it would interfere with his routine, which is to exit the bus, cross over to the other side of the street, turn his hat around backwards, and immediately start SPRINTING, full bore down the street towards his house.

This kid wears western boots, even when he's wearing shorts, and runs with this really weird, straight legged gait.

He gets a pretty good head start (he is amazingly fast, given the boots and strange running style), because he sits at the front of the bus and so exits first.

But invariably, we catch him, and, as we pass, Opie, Dillon, Imani, etc. and the rest of the back of the bus rowdy crowd, yell out the windows at him, "Run Forrest! RUN!"

It never fails to crack me up. It is one of the strangest, yet oddly endearing things I've ever seen.

I’ve often said one of the best things my mother ever did for me was to put me on the school bus. Learn a lot about life and dealing with all kinds on there.

Growing up I lived in a house on top of a hill with a long driveway. As one who’s typically just right on time or five minutes late, I often would have to run down that hill to catch the bus while all the other kids on the bus were watching. Of course I’d hear it when I finally got on, huffing and puffing. Good times.

Lady sitting next to me on my flight this morning asked a great question: what do you do if you’re so morbidly obese that the seat belt doesn’t fit over your gunt?

You ask the flight attendant for an extension. Turns out that’s the correct answer.

-I’m a history grad and I actually do think about the Roman Empire pretty often, watched a doc about them to fall asleep two nights ago actually.

-If the seatbelt doesn’t fit and you’re not over 6’ the answer is probably get off the plane and start running every day.

-Rogue Family Saga appears to be getting closer to a finale. Dad has finally understood he has to leave Lexington and I’m moving him to WV tomorrow.

As much of a PITA it’s been to have him for almost a year I’m positive I’ll cry like a school mom dropping her kid off on the first day of school when I pull out of gmas house Monday morning. 😢

Poor dude looked so sad as we had the conversation but it has to happen either way. Better for us both, just have to remind myself that.

Damn man, literally getting choked up at the gym typing this. F**k me.

Yes sir! 2001-2005. Just missed you.

-Totally agree it’s pretty useless for a degree unless you’re going to teach it.

But I enjoyed those years of study more than any others easily. You mean I get to go to class and hear someone talk about the subject I love for hours? Sign me up.

-That sucks rogue.

- I’ve had a headache now for a week that only triggers when something like a sneeze or when, well you know, and it’s intense to the point I damn near throw up from the pain of it and typically it dulls out and fades away.

Besides my wife accusing me of being grossed out by her all of a sudden I’m actually for real concerned and have to wait to see the doc until Friday.

- Little guy is just growing by the week at baseball. Doing 2-3 things at once is no longer overwhelming so a pop up saying “got it” and catching it and immediately processing who he can get out for running is a big deal.

- It sucks put UL roasts IU. Also think UF beats UT today but I could see it being a FG either way.

- I hope Colorado St beats Deion. I hate to cheer against Colorado really, but I want to see him stay this cocky after a humbling loss.

Delta honk as well. Sky miles AMEX so it works.

That being said everytime I fly to KY I usually use AA. Just better rates and times from RDU. Coming to Nolin in Nov and easy direct to BNA

Won’t go to the ER yet but I have stopped our morning routine and I take 3 Tylenol twice a day now.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned but everything I’ve read says this happens with quick high blood pressure spikes and/or a lot of tension.

So I booked a massage too

Speaking of massages, I’ve been working in Houston a lot and when you drive down the freeway you see an Asian massage place every half mile. Are all of those places fronts for hookers or are those legit businesses?

If we’re talking about GOAT rock bands, we have to put Audioslave up there, right? The stuff they were making in the early 00’s…that’s as good as any, in my book.

Love all the individual parts, but did not love the material as much as I thought I would. A couple of bangers -- "Doesn't Remind Me" is my favorite -- but always thought they could be even better.

Plenty of good rock bands after the early aughts, we just get stuck in our ways on what we want to listen to.

I, myself, am a pretty big Turnstile fan.
