Cal on the way to office every morning.

Another year and another(this time 3) weird set of circumstances with players. Be nice to just roll into the season knowing what the hell to expect.

Only around 17,000 courts in the US alone, should be a pretty simple fix to just change all the floors/arenas for a 132 year old game.

The NBA has considered this and the primary thing stopping them is it would eliminate one row of high dollar lower level seats.

It’s crazy to watch highlights of a game from the 50’s. Looks like they are playing on an indoor soccer field there is so much space. The length and speed of today’s NBA is unbelievable. It’s even more astounding when he go to a game.

You really referenced games from 70 years ago.

Lengthen, widen, add a second floor, whatever.....the game will still be played in the same areas of the court it is now. That isn't changing. If anything, add 3 inches to the baselines to lessen the chances of stepping OB which has increased dramatically of late.

Might want to suggest the same to the NFL. I’d say that would help a lot in that sport compared to what type of players used to play on the same field.

Pop seems to be pretty awesome when he has top 10 all-time talents and pretty average when he doesn’t. Reminds me of Phil Jackson.

There are a couple of teens in my neighborhood who are legit 7 footers. They work out with some dude at the Y all the time. They have guard skills and move extremely well for their size. My understanding is they were adopted from Africa, but maybe it was a long time ago because I talked to one at the gym and he didn’t have an accent. The point of this is that it seems like they are finding more and more super tall, athletic players all over the world. What’s not getting bigger is the court. They need to extend it 2 feet on each side at least. It would improve the game.
They live next door to a buddy of mine. Both were adopted by the former UL soccer coach, I believe.

As Biden would say, they are very clean and well spoken.

Z Comes in the day before BBM
Z doesn't play in BBM (fine considering the time but it's barely even pickup ball)
Cal says come watch Z play at B/W game
Z doesn't play in B/W game for "reasons"
Cal says Z is not in shape but will play in 2nd exhibition
UK say Z could have played in B/W game but can not play in 2nd exhibition yet

Also Bradshaw is a great kid, interviewee, and teammate but can't play because of a mysterious injury despite walking around like normal and going through warmups

Soon starts my 14# brisket smoke for the annual Army Football tailgate at West Point. Deviled Eggs and Banana Puddin being provided as well. All my siblings are going too.

Doing the Goldees’ foil boat / Wagyu tallow finishing method. Should be fire. Bought Texas competition Post Oak wood chunks and charcoal for some authenticity. I mean, hickory is for wussies.

Also making Kook’s famous Benton Smoked white whiskey Bloody Mary’s (not for the faint at heart). Go big, go home, watch the Cats/Vols game. At least I’ll enjoy some stressless football in the course of the day.

I love Immanuel Quickley to a point of me turning in my Nets fan card. Ben Simmons is a complete dufus.

My dog whines to go lay on deck, apparently she got out of our fenced back yard and a neighbor ring doorbell to tell me she saw her on a busy road 1/4 mile away… screaming and whistling out my car, every person I saw thought I was batshit crazy(not too off). Resigned to buying a new dachshund a mile away and a half hour later, I pull into driveway to see the Ben Simmons of dogs - standing on my driveway waiting for me. I think she found every pile of deer **** to roll in for an added bonus.

You should be arrested for animal cruelty for calling him the “Ben Simmons of dogs”. 😂

That’s fantastic. Next time I get into an argument with my wife, I’m breaking out “you’re the Ben Simmons of wives”. She won’t get it, but it will be a sick burn.

She’s abnormally huge, athletic, and completely stupid. My dog. Not your wife.

Unless you got a true stick-burning offset smoker I’m not afraid. Anyone can cook good pork shoulder or ribs… yawn. Show me a cross section of a properly smoked brisket. That’s the true sign of pit mastery.

Nobody is flocking neither to NJ nor KY for beef barbecue. No offense obviously.

Hey coach if you're reading.. not sure if you and your staff have picked up on this but some teams are doing this new thing known as "play action" where the QB acts like he's handing the ball off to the running back but actually keeps it for a passing play (they do this to try and trick the defense). Anyways I hope our guys have been alerted to this tactic because I'm pretty sure it's resulted in at least 30 yards every time the last two games. Thanks, and go cats!

-What amazes me is that my gym or any gym has #35 plates. Like why? Do your members struggle with putting a #25 and a #10 together? Do you like having a pointless plate that messes up all the weight trees? It’s just really dumb, why not have #15s while we’re at it? #55s? 2.5, 5, 10, 25, 45. That’s it, the only weights you need.

-After basically not working all year besides the first three months to take care of the old man, I got my Florida insurance setup. $117/month, no deductible, $0 for meds, $0 lab work, $0 for PCP and UTC visits. 😎

Might finally get my shoulder an X-ray and MRI so they can laugh at how I have zero labrum but still workout 6 days a week. My PT in Lex said PLEASE send me the MRI whenever you get one. Said I had the grossest, gnarliest, popping/creakingest shoulder he’d ever dealt with.

There were times he’d hear it pop and crack and he’d cringe and make faces, “okay stop! Don’t do that anymore well do something else.”

Still do three PT exercises every day before I workout and guess I get to do that until I die…

-Love how active this area is. At any point during the day and especially morning and evening there are dozens of people walking their dogs around the neighborhood and the park as well as dozens more playing pickle ball.

I mean, I’ve never seen so many dogs, I reckon that’s why it’s one of the most dog friendly cities in America.

The never ending list of first world problems we gripe about has just added a new one.

So in the first world we can’t complain about first world problems? Am I supposed to complain about famine or bombs being dropped on us or the warlords committing genocide in Tennessee?

You complain about touching college and pro sports teams bro, same ****.
