Thought the article was well written and spot on. I don't think Calipari wins another title even if the Dream Team could lace em up.

I wonder if one of those former support staff members is my old neighbor who works for UNC now?

Still depressed over the football game. Turned down tickets for the UL game because I cannot be around those insufferable pricks for an entire game. Especially if we get our asses handed to us.

Good job Will Levis. Now is that the norm, or a fluke?

Had at least 500 kids in my Lex hood. Thought the cold temps would keep em away, not a chance.

Still too many kids not saying trick or treat, or especially, THANK YOU. Come on parents.

My 8am solo golf outings seem to be going bye bye. Frost delays till 11? FML

Got my first AR-15 ordered. Cannot wait to shoot that thing.

Anybody been to Aruba? Got my eye on that as my next wife getaway.

The “tent” cover, the ring for underneath so you don’t burn your grass/deck, and the bougie fire pit tools

I think the big problems with Cal didn't come until COVID. We were right there with the Herro and Maxey teams.
That and the lifetime contract that he got the summer before. COVID was when Cal just openly started warring with Kentucky fans and Matt Jones -- which would have been utterly idiotic except that Barnhart made it possible.

I'm hopeful that Cal had an attitude adjustment this offseason and has realized that he's dangerously close to severely tarnishing his legacy. If we have another dud season this year, I think he takes his million dollar a year gilded parachute and leaves Lexington. Or at least I hope.

-I have the cover... used landscape pavers in lieu of the ring stand. Was fine... will order the ring as it seems easier.

Yeap I'm getting the cover and stand for sure. Its a stone seating area off the deck so not too worried about anything burning. Is the heat deflector needed or does it put out enough without it?

Cal is a slightly more polished Calhoun, but still adheres to the "not a dime back" mentality. Can't see him voluntarily walking away from 8m/per.

Whenever that time comes, Barnhart or whomever running the show will need to find their stones to part ways.

pdre- we did venture into your neighborhood but not far. 2yo was worn out by that point. Did most of our damage in lone oak.

I agree w rogue. I hope they never do another bracket again. Those are painful.

I want UK to build a statue for stoops but at the same time I wouldn’t care if he left?? Kinda weird but just how I feel.

Xmas decorations will be completed by the weekend. Merry Christmas friends

-I think the deflector is a great idea for windy conditions... we just huddled around it like hobos last night, deflector woulda been nice.

^not necessary for 50-55 degree nights on the back patio.

-the Arab/Israeli conflict is complicated AF...and requires a knowledge of human migration/multi state policy and of 2000+ years of history... even most Gyeroites don't possess this, discussions in the thread are best avoided, imnsho.

Good, the brackets are boring. Idgaf what average Kentuckians favorite fast food or candy is, it’s banal entertainment and time filler.

-I’m pretty sure the anti-Semitic protests are because Israel is killing, oh I don’t know, civilians including 2000 children with no effs given and Israeli spokesperson saying, “The emphasis is on destruction not accuracy.”

If you don’t think that’s effed up, you’re out of your mind. They’re basically saying we’re just trying to kill anyone and everyone over there.

That’s what happens in war, especially if you have been attacked first. It’s ugly and people get killed. We would do the same if we are attacked, ala 9-11. Of course we are all for it then.
😂 no NFL team is calling Mark touching Stoops any time soon my man. The NFL is uptempo and a passing game now, what about Stoops screams NFL ready?

No ****. He was talking about replacing Harbaugh at UM.

Well you all can have your opinions, like I said, I believe Mark Stoops would take less money to go to Michigan.

That’s his type of football up there and he reasonably only has to beat OSU/PSU and if the playoff expands he is in every year there.

Add to that his recruiting will grow exponentially with Michigan dollars behind his NIL program and it’s a no brainer.

To think he has it easy here, reasonably, and he’s be happy with that is to say he isn’t competitive and thinks Michigan is too much. Well I can tell you coaches aren’t built like that and if they were, well they aren’t so it doesn’t matter.

If the Big10 moves to 10 minute quarters could definitely see Stoops taking a pay cut to roam the sidelines at the big house!

RE: Solo Stove heat deflectors, I had quit using ours due to no heat output if you weren't standing right over it. Didn't know they were making deflectors, may have to look into one of those or a DIY. My experience is you can sit 3 feet away from one on a cold night and be no warmer, double-walled and such.

Well I misread it then but the odds are still equal that UM calls him as it is an NFL team will call him and yes of course he’d take a cut to coach Michigan.

Unless you’re a true POS, I think it’s a good thing to remember and recognize the good things when someone passes away.

That Indiana rivalry brings back so many amazing memories of my youth into my college years.

Still remember the “Booobbby Boooobbbby” chants taunting him from the UK student section in Freedom Hall during a big win December 1998.

That's a huge false. Why do I have to fake sentiment for someone I never respected, liked, and was an overall bad person? He had decades to apologize and never even hinted at it. Died sad and lonely. I see the tragedy in the situation, but doesn't mean I'm cutting him a break, as he obviously didn't want it.

I have plenty of relatives that I didn't respect or think about the the good things when they passed. In fact the world is a better place without them.
