Carrington Valentine is turning out to be a pretty good pro.

Didn't see that coming.
Green Bay loved that kid out of college too. I don’t know what it is that NFL scouts loved because he was good but didn’t see an NFL caliber DB in him at all.

The only thing I can come up with is that he displayed good instincts, tracking the ball, etc.
At the end of the day, the NFL is littered with guys that had low expectations coming in, and succeeded.

Who knows.

I’m a big Bengals fan tonight. More so, a Joe Burrow fan. Put a few dollars on him to win the MVP at +2000. I think with a good performance tonight he goes on the short list.

-Great bounce back by the defense after a couple terrible performances. Passing game looked solid until the Leary injury. Just the 1 bad drop IIRC. Dominating on the road isn't something we should lose perspective on. Great win and hopefully the shot in the arm we needed to finish strong.

-So all signs are pointing to Charlotte for the Bowl Game? I can deal with that. We really enjoyed that location last time.

-Sausage party was a success. Woke up sporting a 2012 style hangover that required McDonald's 🤢The hussies replicated Kooky's bolognese and gnocchi, was a really solid effort. How many texts did you get about the recipe, Kook? 100+? Hove's andouille turned out perfect. Can't wait for Saturday. Believe I'm going to contribute with grits and grillades.

-Wonder if we have a center playing this evening? 🤡 Show.

-Pitch black at 6p. Great job fat ankles.

“Replicate” or “Solid effort”?🧐

@Wodie Sloot you should Facetime me for making brown butter and Sage sauce for the leftover frozen gnocchi. For 4-person portion it’s a snap.

Need to teach rolling the nyuks down groove board. Next level.

Gotta think of my next years offering. Must be unreplicatable.

Still awaiting the French Laundry feast missive. Once in a lifetime experience that hasn’t barely been mentioned.

Had a Lexingtonian Arch Major pal (groomsman) over for MSU game. He decided to pour his own bourbon wishlist flight of doom. Went down in a heap… his poor wife had to drive his *** home to Long Island 2 hrs away. I warned him.

Kentucky week began yesterday with my daughter waking up and us realizing "oh **** shes allergic to amoxicillin" We were fortunate that it was only the full body rash and hives and nothing (to this point) impeding her breathing but we've spent a nice little Sunday at emergi-care and are back in the doctor's office this morning.

There are *a lot* of alabama folks coming up this weekend. I know a good 50-60 just from the small circles we are in. The distilleries should have a nice surge toward the end of the week.

I think we can score, assuming Leary is healthy- but Im pretty concerned about how our defense is going to keep a good running back- coming off of hi best game- in check. Just feel like each time we geta bit of hope, a 3rd and 6 becomes a 9 yard QB run. But strange things happen in the early morning kickoffs- and maybe we get couple of breaks to give us a chance in the end.

My dad let me know that he bought extra tickets for the sitter and my daughter to come to the game. I mentioned it not being as enjoyable watching the game with a toddler and he said "then you can watch at home"- so I guess we are to the point he doesnt care about me even being there as long as he can play grandpa all weekend.

Going to check out this basketball program friday night for the first time in person since the UNC loss in Memphis. Anyone around for a pregame cold draft beer let me know.

The Cody's Wish story from overnight is pretty heartbreaking as i'm sure all of you horse players have heard. Overall that was a really cool story, especially for a sport that hasnt had hardly any good press in a few years.

The local high school coach for the school on our block took the job at Samford a couple of years ago, and tonight he's coaching them on national TV against Purdue- so keep at it Strokin and maybe your number will be called soon.

Had we just shown up for the last 3 qtrs of that mizzou game, I feel this season would have an entirely diff feel…. Would prob be ranked around #20 as well.

Get 2 of these last 3 and it’s a fine season. Hoping we finally land the outback bowl.

Season Opener Randos:

* GTFO with any bitching about the Mississippi State win being boring or whatever. Other than the 20 play series, we absolutely dominated those jabronis on defense and Leary and the receivers continued playing well. (Although I'm still mad about Brown being a jerkoff and trying to throatpunch an MSU player after receiving a punt.)

A win on the road in the SEC is always a great win.

* The poor emergency QB for the Bulldogs was something else. The kid struggled to get it past the line of scrimmage when he was scrambling and the high school stats they showed were awful. Kind of weird that Leach would have recruited him for that system. Seemed like a good kid, though.

* RIP again to Mike Leach. What an absolute legend.

* I can't remember ever starting a season on a Monday but whatever. Feels like this is Cal's season on the brink. Put up, shut up, giddy up, and whatnot.

* It would be pretty funny if New Mexico State played exclusively zone tonight.

* Inject this weather into my veins.

* My current favorite player power rankings (mind you this is not best or anything, just who I like watching play most):

1. Adou
2. Reed
3. Mitchell
4. Dillingham
5. Reeves

I hate this weather because it wreaks havoc on my HVAC. 38 degrees overnight and 92 degrees by 1pm. F*ck this. Be warm or cold, not both. Also what do I even wear ???

I’ve torn down several local Ocharlies. I may have lost doing any in the future because I had the gall to request payment when I finished the job, instead of letting it linger for 180 days like most commercial contractors prefer.

Middle school basketball season officially kicks off tonight, so probably going to be limited in my cats viewing. Just hoping this squad full of future pros can squeak one past the second best team from a state known best for a fatal accident involving an alien spaceship. But we’ll see!!!

He may very well be guilty but what he/they did to that poor nephew of his was criminal. Poor kid thought he was going to be home on time to watch wrastlin’ for Christ’s sake. And those dirty *** cops and prosecutor were in on it.
Poor nephew? He raped that woman and then slit her throat. Give him the death penalty.

Btw, he could have called the cops and saved her life initially when he left Avery’s house, he didn’t, ,he came back, because he “wanted to feel what sex was like”. Just one of the MAJOR details the doc writers conveniently left out.

Sounds like Netflix got you as well.

Parlour Pizza is going into the 2 remaining O Charley’s buildings in Lexington and they’re looking for a 3rd building. Is Parlour good enough or recognized enough to just drop into a new city with multiple locations like that?

My wife wants to get double D implants. My head's brain thinks about all those times I have watched shows with surgeries that have gone wrong. You know, the ones where each one is pointing in a different direction, and it makes me want to talk her out of it. However, then my crotch's brain kicks in and I think.....

Thoughts:

- So these new gambling sites and their cute little promos are like a drug dealer saying, "the first one's free," right? Won't be long until everyone owes Big Worm his money.

- From the makers of adulting and soooo, I did a thing . . . comes a brand new phrase: "ALL THE THINGS." Instead of using the indefinite pronouns "everything" or "anything," it's way more wacky to utter the phrase "all the things."

I tell you, that Jill. She can work 20 hours a week, homeschool her kids, organize the neighborhood watch, and pack snacks for soccer practices. There is nothing she can't do! She does all of the things!"

-
My wife mopped our hardwood floors this weekend, but instead of using the hardwood floor cleaner, she mistakenly poured a bottle of leather upholstery cleaner into the bucket. We're sliding and busting our asses all over the place. Slicker than a bluegill's pecker.

- Got 4th place in a chili cook-off last week at school. I did a traditional, smoked chili. Here is what won:

1st - Some sweet tasting tomato paste but it came with pimento cheese sandwiches, hotdogs, and vote solicitation 2 days before the contest.
2nd - A white bean chicken chili. Looked delicious and smelled great, but I didn't taste it. You know why? BECAUSE THAT'S NOT F'ING CHILI that's why!
3rd - A premium chili that had slow roasted ribeye meat and sirloin as it's main protein. LOL at a $75 chili recipe taking home 3rd.

Next year I'll bring a potato soup. Marcus.

- So Christmas on November 1st is a thing now. I guess pumpkin spiced everything and fall, y'all! just isn't as trendy as it used to be. Let's throw up a Christmas tree, drink some peppermint mochas, and do a Tik-Tok. It's going to be 80 on Wednesday, ladies. Relax.

- According to my Facebook spyware, Duckhead has indeed made a comeback, and judging by their prices, they are proud of their things. All of the things.

Double D’s sound awful to me. It’s about the nips not the bags they’re on top of, get it together folks. I mean, C’s are fine, D’s are a lot and double? Nah bro, all yours.
