I live in Paducah. Have seen him play quite a few times. The kid is a good player, and I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not sold on him being much of a contributor. Actually he is probably more J.P. Blevins than Carrier

Do we only get to compare Perry to former white players? I was thinking in college he’ll probably be similar to Anthony Epps myself.

Wayne, Wilt Chamberlain had 💯 one night and didn’t hit a 3 either.

Flipping DNR changed the limit and size for sauger. Previously could catch 10 limit no size slot. Now it’s 6 limit and at least 14.5”. Average catch over the last 7-8 years has been 13”. Gas, minnows, food and tackle costs making it not even worth it but just 6 fish is BS. Caught about 25 Friday and only one legal keeper. The rest were 12.5” to 14” for the loss.

After having so many losing seasons anything over .500 in football is a plus. Lotta suckage over the last 60 plus years. Silver linings and such.

* I'd like to see Wayne to run into a brick wall and Cal land a modern Anthony Epps, too.

* Yesterday morning my dog woke me up about 4 am, which is unusual for him. My wife was at the Pink concert in Louisville so I just assumed he was anxious about her not being there. Nope. When we went out to walk, coyotes were squalling close by. I got his furry little *** inside toot sweet.

* Whether or not Perry contributes, I love that Cal is adding multiple guys to the roster who look like four year players. That's what we thought we were getting when Cal got here -- a rotating cast of one and done stars to go with a core of veterans.

Looks like we will get Jayden Quaintance this week, too. Add Karter Knox and another guard and we should be good to go.

* I hope no one expected us to beat Bama. I think the malaise around the football program comes from the Missouri loss. That was the real embarrassment. We also don't have the depth to get better down the stretch, so now we going to be underdogs to get above .500.

That said, I'd lock Stoops up to a lifetime contract this afternoon. Who the f*** are we kidding? Making a bowl game every year at UK is a damn miracle.

* Kentucky basketball went straight down the ******* the moment Cal signed his lifetime contract. I hope that applies to Kansas, too.

Wilt scored 100 but there is absolutely no video or any official score only a picture of him holding up a piece of Dunder mifflin with 100 written on it

Kobe’s 81 > Wilt holding up a piece of paper

Perspective

This is what every one of us dreamed of doing

Even if he is carrier or Blevins.

Young TB was enamored watching the likes of JP Blevins Josh Carrier and Brandon Stockton absolutely killing CCHS on a Tuesday night on the banks of the Cumberland river. The fourth region was killing it.

Anyone remember a kid by the name of Kevin bridgewater that played for Adair County around the same time? I thought he was as good as all three. I think he ended up at UT- Chattanooga

Imagine the senior year this Perry kid is about to have after committing to Kentucky. Lock for Mr basketball. Gotta assume Lyon county is the favorite to get to rupp from the 2nd region.

He plays in bowling green on Feb 3

-Bama game went about how I expected, tbh. I'm not sure what changed for everyone. Maybe they haven't been paying attention the last few weeks but Bama has been trending up from that early season rust. That Def is dirty. Season is still very much in play but we gotta win out at this point.

-I just can get over UK, man. Wearing f*cking gray, which were FINE, against Bama. They just can't help themselves with marketing and obvious decisions. Just flat out embarrassing. Wear that **** for Morehead St or South Carolina. We should've been crisp af in Blue top, white bottoms.

-UGA and Bama both really peaking at the right time. Like clockwork.

-Early time frame actually made for a much sloppier day. Everyone out of the gates and racing by 10a and still going at 10p. Hell of a final tailgate of the season. Woke up to PTI and BBDK sleeping, fully clothed, on my couches like it was 2008 again.

-We've got the cajun tailgate menu nailed at this point. Jamb, Grillages, boudin, king cake bites, etc. I may try my hand at the etoufee next season. Shew.

-I don't think you need one from every class but UK should have at least 1 or 2 capable blue bloods on every roster. For continuity... at minimum.

-Still don't think we have the horses to compete for a title but damn it was fun watching 3 point guards play at the same time. Defense and rebounding were **** but we can certainly be an opportunistic defensive team. As for the boards, well, after the last 2 years I'll take fun/offense over boards any f*cking day. He'll revert back and we'll get a lot of Burks/Z/Bradshaw/Mitchell combos.

-Shep has the ability to be transcendent. Icon status. Don't f*ck this up, kid. Cal just needs to get him a long term NiL deal that keeps him in Lex 4 years. Would probably save his career and legacy, tbh. Especially if Perry matured and we had an all Ky back court. Sheesh.

-Clark in real life 😲 I'll dismiss that he was dressed ready for an upland hunt with Rudd. Dude showed up Friday and Saturday. Had to big time him a bit Friday as I actually ran into a business contact. Travel pants, 3/4 zip, air maxs didn't seem to hamper the relationship. His little princess is totally adorbs with those cute curls and pink golden goose sneaks. L was putting the charm on with the baby blues.

-Drake at Rupp? Hmmm.

-Wodie needs to drop the Napa snackdown. Beyond ridiculous at this point.

The $76 million buyout is absolutely malpractice on the highest level, it is a complete disgrace, and every single administrator involved in that decision should be fired on the spot. Tarred and feathered. Flogged. Etc.

You've got college "student athletes" fighting like hell to get paid anything by their universities, you've got every single coach in the sport talking down to these kids like theyre spoiled brats when they ask for $$$, and this ******* fails miserably and gets rewarded with a $76 million check for NOT working. Unreal. And ironically that stunt just drove the price *up* for their next hire, who I'm certain will be another Jimmy Sexton client.

Fireable offense to lose to the Cats at home… easy decision, really. Arnett looked like a trailer park live wire.

Mother in law passed away yesterday. 😪 Wife caught a standby flight and made it down to KY in time. My boys are taking it hard… but, she had an epic run at it. A Dr., taught at UofL in an era where ladies hosting Tupperware parties and having a Harvey Wallbanger with Flo Baldridge at the club was the height of achievement. Alas, making the 12hr drive again.

Boxing is a helluva workout.

Wind out of my sails when UK football is flailing. Malaise.

Dog wants walks every 4 hours with the crispy weather. Sniffing deer **** must be like a Fentenyl habit.

Man…

-I don't think anyone expected a UK win... coming out flat/slow start/spotting them 21 pts is the disappointing bit.

^because it's become a theme of stoops teams. 99.9% sure it didn't matter against ala... but it cost UK a win against tenn in both of the last two home games.

-fans just wanna see a team that is prepared/ready to get after it. If you get beat by a better team, so be it.

*Not a terrible weekend, but not as good as Jimbo "Midget Head" Fischer. Damn, $75 million to go away. I went into the wrong profession. Apparently, the two best careers for failures are CFB HC and politicians.

*Co-worker asked me who would even want that job if they will fire him so quickly. I would think just about anyone would take it if TAMU writes in that kind of buyout for them as well.

*Hit the track with a group yesterday. Once again, I couldn't hit a race to save my life. I finally got fed up and put a win bet on every horse in the race. I "only" lost $15 on that race, but did cash the ticket. Streak broken!

On the positive side of things, The Turf Club is very nice. Now that 2 people in the family I went with yesterday have memberships, this guy may be losing a lot more many. At least I get a decent meal out of it.

*Stoney River for dinner after the festivities last night. The three that went has have been noticing a change in the clientele. I could be wrong, it is pretty dark in some areas of the restaurant.

- Not that we had a shot to begin with, but that 3rd & 18 that Bama converted just opened the floodgates. Hold there and they punt, maybe able to cut the lead from 14 to 7 and make them roll up their sleeves, make it interesting for a moment. Of course they get 30 with the ease of a kid playing Madden on the easy level.

- Watched the game with bbdk and brady in the collectible mogul's suite. Appreciated the hook-up and the deadpan commentary between the group was enough to keep me entertained as we got our ish pushed in.

- Said it after the first game, give me some entertaining basketball over the plow horse, plodding ish we've had since '19. Seeing that 3 guard lineup and the upside potential this team has really gives all the feels. Stick with that primarily and an early loss or two can be stomached.

- Didn't hear "GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" once Friday. Stick with this Buddhist like approach and the team will respond, WOP. And thanks for dressing for the job!

- The Extrav really showed out this season. Hosts don't get enough credit (likely because of Anth's surly nature here) for opening their house to 50+ and an increasing number of kiddos hopped up on sugar, flying around like banshees and rando's just dropping in.

- Only negative from Saturday was babysitting a 35 year old lass who hasn't learned how to handle her booze. Too old for that ish

- I'm always going to order a prime rib if on the menu. Med rare, extry horseradish. Only steak I don't feel sure of cooking at home.

Turn on range hood.

Sear that ribeye in a cast iron pan like any other steak. Blasting heat, minimal tallow in the pan…dry both side of room temp, salted steak. Don’t move it. 3 minutes min.

Add butter, 4-5 gloves garlic, rosemary… still don’t move it. 1 minute later, flip and baste. 3 minutes later… Voila.

Extra points if you have tongs and sear side fat cap also.

Crack pepper… super dark sear is a must for textural reasons on rich ribeye.

In my defense- the vest was a last-minute addition bc it was a bit on the cool side in the Commonwealth shade. I highly recommend it for all bird hunters.

A lot of folks have asked me about L's early efforts to flirt with my daughter, if it continues i'll have a discussion with the boy and his father, @SAECATFAN . I do appreciate the hospitality and letting us swing by pregame- always good to see you people from the internet.

Wasnt disappointed so much with the outcome- but the effort just seems lacking from the football team right now. They were obviously outmatched- but we still do more than enough to shoot ourselves in the foot, repeatedly. My wife and daughter made it through 3 quarters before heading out, Dad and I left with about 6 minutes left.

My dad took the baby back to Louisville with him for the night, not before stopping with her to eat at The Cattleman's Roadhouse in Shelbyville. What an ideal location and spread for a 20 month old. But that's my dad's postgame spot with his buddy after leaving lexington and he doesnt like to switch up his routine.

Was nice to be back in Rupp for the first time in ages. The last time was years ago on Senior day against Florida I believe, I went with Woodford and his youngest daughter... i hadnt really thought about that in a long time until I was back there.

I got to take my daughter to "play basketball" at the Craft Center Friday afternoon. She ran around the court throwing a basketball around for an hour or so- got some good pics. Probably the highlight for her.

Saturday night at Merrick... im sure the Ruby's and the Tony's of the world may offer a better meal for some, but Merrick is my spot every time we are back. Grouper fingers and pork chop. Ended over at OBC for a nightcap- always a good experience there too.

Highlands and Cashers NC this week, Thanksgiving, then we are basically at the holiday season and its 2024. Christ.

-I know I have plenty of posts no one literally gives a touch about but the cooking recipe/snack downs to me are those. Are people writing down kookys recipe, are they listening intently to what someone else ate in a foreign land a month ago?

Might as well entertain me with talk about horoscopes or cars or watches… just all things idgaf about.

- l just landed a coffee date with a great looking trainer at my gym, hopefully she’s not into cars and cooking recipes or at least won’t talk to me about them. Just moved here same week as I did from NJ.

I’d guess 28-31. Literally came in late today to hope to run into her since there is no staff here when I normally come.

-Heading to the beach with the pup, then a local farm for fresh produce, honey, raw milk, eggs, maters, etc.

"Nobody likes my posts, but I don't like what everyone else in here posts about"

🤔
I didn’t say no one likes my posts was just clarifying we all talk about **** others don’t care about which is fine.

I just can’t for the life of me understand why someone would want to hear all the ingredients of your supper and how you cooked it. Then again, I eat solely for nutrients and the gym.

I basically meal prep and alternate two meals for an entire week and just eat that, then switch it up the next Sunday. It’s also just for me so it’s not like I’m trying to cater to anyone else.

Any of you NJ folks familiar with II Costello's in Woodbridge?

Company Xmas party there next month and want to know what to expect.

I've heard it's an Italian placed owned by Polacks.
