-With the ease of LEX I'm hard pressed to drive to SDF/CVG unless it saves a ton of total travel time. 50 minutes early to your flight at LEX and you're still waiting 20-30 minutes to board with checking bags. It's fantastic. Door to door is almost always faster from LEX even with a connection.

-I'm happy for Chadwick but 2011 WCC is not pleased with him.

-5a wake up call tomorrow is gonna SUCK.

-Food is one of the 4-5 main topics in this thread. One could argue it's 3rd behind BB/FB. Always been a foodie thread.

-Cuck, lol. I'm secure, Rob. If she wants to go hussy-ing around... I'll remind her about how poor the market for used wives is.

-Anyone that plans a Monday evening event should DIAF. Especially one that involves drinking. FOH.

-Tried telling y'all. Rap is dunzo. At least good mainstream ****.

I don't use gambol apps, but if there is a line on rebounding differential tonight, that'd be the play. If we are within 10 of them, it'd be a minor miracle.

Learned the hard way not to take Allegiant, as twice I've had delays that ended up cancelling the flight all together. So then it's wait 3-4 days before the next flight as they don't have daily routes from Ft. Myers to SDF or rebook last minute on a real airline. Juice isn't worth the squeeze.

-unless it's a ridiculous deal I fly out of Lexington. Easy. Delta more often than not. Air travel is a necessary evil...something to endure.

-if I had *real* money I'd never fly commercial. I get to travel on a buddy's hawker 850 once a year or so... sooo cool.

^drive onto the tarmac and pilots/ground guy grabs yer stuff... go park, walk back to the plane and in the air in less than 5 mins. A man could get used to that.

Southwest has turned into a pretty ****** experience. When flying from Nashville with the companion + miles it’s still the best/convenient option.

Any chance we get we try to fly Delta.
I flew SW a couple of times recently bc I had a surplus of RR points and actually had a good experience as far as it being on time for takeoff and landing. I've found it to be adequate when flying by myself, but if I'm with family the lack of reserved seating and the incredibly large amount of people that walk just fine coming and going from the airport but apparently when they get through TSA they HAVE TO HAVE A GOLF CART AND THEN A WHEELCHAIR DOWN THE RAMP- I'll go Delta or United.

The likelihood that Sumrall could end up in f'ing Starkville is enough to make me puke. He's way too good of a coach and human being to be associated with that lot, or in that little town. He's actually at a better football school now.

Game thoughts:

1.) Fouls. Mitchell gonna have to let some go when he finds himself pinned or out of position on an easy putback, which I fear will be often. Gonna need some scrappy minutes from Burks, as well

2.) Key matchup for me is with McCullar -- just a helluva basketball player, rugged as hell, 22 years old, and probably the best utility player in CBB. Edwards (I assume?) gonna have his hands full there.

3.) Guards, obvs. KU has a lot of depth, but not really that athletic. Harris is just a solid vet, plays kinda like a poor man's Rondo imo, have always enjoyed. Be interesting to see how the young fellas fare. Gotta make some goddam shots in a big game, for once. DJ gonna elevate as he typically always has for the occasion?

4.) Cal's outfit. Gonna go a long way in determining what happens tonight.

Believe this is the 1st Champions Classic I've missed...may have been one more in there somewhere, but can't think of what it was. Really a great event. Unfortunately, don't see much of a possibility that I'm not overly toasted by tipoff - Oh well, welcome back for real, CBB! 🍻

-Wemby v Chet tonight

In the past 3 weeks, I have passed on these bottles:

Wild Turkey Masters Keep $315
Knob Creek 18 Year - $180
Lil Book - $165
Woodford Annual Release- $150

^ All retail. I was tempted on all, but my gawd. Maybe I’ve just grown up a bit but had a hard time spending that much for a bottle anymore unless it’s truly elite. Picked up a Buffalo Trace shelfer for $25 instead and felt better about myself.

Bourbon finally growing up and starting to price out the black market. Good for all of us, tbh. Ordered a $125 bottle of High West Dram and feel pretty good about it.

I’m genuinely excited about tonight. But how the hell do we have 3 talented 7-footers and NONE are available?

This injury BS (and throw in NCAA BS too) is making me a weary man.

I would argue that if your flight is on time, you don't have to check your bags, and you're not sitting next to somebody who is overweight, smelly or talks a lot (unless she's attractive), the flying experience is pretty consistent across the airlines.

Flying on a guys weekend trip- strolling into the airport by myself with just a backpack, picking up a coffee or beer on my way to the gate, meeting up with friends there- all similarly situated, getting ready to leave the stresses of life behind for a few days… hits. The airline is truly secondary on those occasions because my mood is first class.

I was leery of allegiant but taken them twice since it’s a direct flight from SP to Lex and been pleasantly surprised both times as it’s been flawless.

Now I am flying on thanksgiving next week so we’ll see how that goes. As bonzo said, if they delay or cancel that’s that because they don’t fly again until Monday.

Then if I want to fly out of Tampa it’s an extra 20 minute drive across the bridge which can be a nightmare depending on time of day

-I don’t really drink bourbon anymore but most of the people I’m personally around don’t know the difference between SoCo and 18 year Eagle Rare or whatever so no point.

-I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, barbers are just next level in coastal Florida, especially the Hispanic ones.

Yeah that’s what I’m getting at - all of those have doubled in price in the past two years.

Have already done a lot of damage on the kids Xmas list and we’re still a week out from thanksgiving. Really proud of myself. Only issue will be my wife having her annual WE DIDNT GET THEM ENOUGH shopping spree and go bananas on Amazon and put me in the broke house.

Wodie - you ever listen to a dude named Yung (sic) Rio?? My oldest loves this dude. I think he’s terrible and has maybe the worst flow I’ve ever heard. Like, he’s a black rapper that seemingly has no rhythm at all. Maybe I’m just washed, but I don’t get the appeal at all. Lmk if I’m wrong.

So is this Quaintance kid any good?

Flown Allegiant many times out of Lex and Knox. Sometimes those direct flights and arrival times are just too good to pass up.

The renters across the street with the ten year old who stole a package right off my front door in broad daylight must have gotten evicted. What a damn shame.

Hey Rogue. In a McD drive thru yesterday in EKY I notice the car in front of me has a cute girl in it, and a big *** Husky. Dog was excited as all hell. I yelled up at her and asked if she was getting the dog anything, and she yelled back, you know it!! They both got vanilla cones. Dogs are indeed a man or woman's best friend.

Put me in the camp that says we don't get our ish pushed in tonight. I got a feeling.

I quit hunting rare stuff a while back. If I want something special, I just grab a store pick from somewhere I trust (Chuck's for those in the BG area). I don't trust Kroger store picks for the same reason I don't trust clicklist. Rather just buy a regular shelfer than have a big national corporate employee pick something out for me.

Smoked a pork belly texas style on Saturday. The leftovers have been tremendous. Cube and sautee over low-med heat with anything. Best has been japanese barbecue sauce (basically teriyaki), lil soy sauce and chili crisp. Like little asian burnt ends. Smoky, sweet umami bombs (foodie alert!) served over white rice 🔥🔥.

I'm hoping tonight gives me a reason to start getting excited for these big early season games again. They just don't pack the punch they used to. This used to feel like Christmas morning. Still into it, but some magic is lost. If we had a full roster, maybe. When was the last time we had a full roster available again?

It's nice to be going into a season without trying to convince ourselves that the Jacob Toppin hype is legit.

Youtube's algorithm is way more dialed in than any other site/app. It does think I love Shane Gillis more than I do though. He's funny enough, but the excessive use of R word keeps me at arm's length. Not woke but I have standards. Pick another group to make fun of. Speaking of, he may be the biggest beneficiary of cancel culture out there. Dude got canceled up. Gotta keep saying it to keep all the anti-woke 'necks on board. Literally drops it in every clip.

South Carolina gonna wax us if we don't bring some pressure. UL too. Rattler and Plummer are capable and that's all it takes to have a field day if you let them sit back there and comfortably attack our weak-*** secondary (see Milroe, Milton, Cook, Beck, Mertz, EKU's QB, Ball State's backup QB). LBs can't cover either but they can damn sure run after a QB. Send 'em, Brad. Gonna have to take a chance or two to save the season. The conservative crap just bends and breaks this year.

Anyone else wanna predict a double digit to 20 point blowout loss tonight?

Am I the only one with the idea that our back court could turn up with the bright lights and upset KU?

We already know everything they want to do, literally everything as it’s the same mode they’ve been in for years.

Only this year our back court is flat out sick! DJ will be ready, Reeves will hit shots, and Sheperd is always ready. Edwards and Dillingham are the ones I’m concerned with but think they could go off in this environment too.

If we get anything from Mitchell, Thiero or Burks to counter Dickinson/Adams then it’s at least a nail biter to the end, IMO.

Flew SW a month ago by myself - best boarding position the whole trip was C47 and I couldn’t have been happier. Flying out Thursday morning on SW with my wife and 6,4, and 2 year old. Oof. Will be a nightmare

Just hoping to watch an entertaining style of play tonight. Pushing the pace, playing fearless with a little attitude. Do that and I’ll be happy. Probably wont be happy

First time I’m going to legit enjoy my basement bar and man cave and the 85” TV downstairs in solitude. That alone should make things better

Got a straight razor shave with my haircut today. WHAT.A.TREAT. Only the 2nd one I’ve ever gotten

Man having actual trees behind my house is great but my f*cking gutters are completely filled to the brim and I cant find anyone to clean them out. Guess I gotta get some gutter guard **** for next year - put it on the endless tab FFS

Do some research on gutter guards. Ours suck ***. Still have to be cleaned out and they just make it more difficult. The holes in the grates get completely clogged with maple seeds (the twirly helicopter things), nuts, smaller leaves, etc. The gutters without guards on our house are way easier to clean. Takes 10 seconds with a leaf blower.
