How have I not visited GYERO since Tuesday?

Love me some Moral Victory University. Even thought I was expecting a loss, I did expect UK to bring it. Was pretty impressed with how they played. With that said, Calipari is still Calipari.

Bright side:
Had the number one team on the ropes without a 7 footer.
Dilly is the microwave. Who was the kid back in Tubby's day that went off on Duke? Carruth?
Thiero is the hardest working player on the team.
DJ and Edwards probably won't be that bad again.
Team will be a lot better come March.

Dark side:
Is Kansas actually a number one team?
If DJ and Edwards are this bad all year, they will still lead the team in minutes.
I think it is very fair to say none of the 7 footers play a game for UK. Very odd these early season issues.
Calipari does not win many close games anymore.
All other teams will be better come March.

Did the Bengals season end last night?

That's 100% a charge. Are you all f'ing stupid? The defender was set and the offensive player took 2 steps and then jumped. Are we just now going to say you can run full speed at the basket and the defender has to get out of the way?

What in the hell does it even mean that the defender is "set?"

In your entire life, were you ever taught to play defense by standing completely still? What a ridiculous embarrassment for college basketball.

In my "entire life", when I was playing basketball and I'm defending a guy, the rule is that if you're feet are "set" the foul goes on the offensive player if contact occurs, but if you're moving (e.g., playing defense) and contact occurs the foul is on you. So is the new rule now that the offensive player can run into you at any time? What constitutes a charge?

Black guy gets dunked on.

GYERO Cucks: That's a white move. Ha ha, white people suck.

White Wayne: Well, that's a charge.

GYERO Cucks: The defender staying between his man and the basket is not proper defensive position!!!

White Wayne: What is "proper defensive position?"

GYERO Cucks: You're so white! Watch the NBA All-Star game dude. That's how you play defense.

Seriously, you guys are ******* morons. I'm perfectly fine saying a defender shouldn't able to slide over when an offensive player is in the air. But what is a guard supposed to do in that situation? You can't just run through people in basketball.

PS - the only people who use "white" as a pejorative are DEI-suckered bitches.

This Andre 3000 album has to be a prank. JFC 🤣
I love Andre and jazz music, so I was really pumped for this one. I knew it had no bars, but this isn't jazz either. It would sound great in the reception area at the health and wellness spa tho.

Oh, and the answer is either get the **** out of the way or challenge the shot. Instead he got (well-deserved) nuts in his mouth.

That’s the thing- there is an alternative to just standing there. Challenge the shot. Get in position to do it. Go for the ball. But standing there covering your nuts waiting to get teabagged is not a basketball defensive play.

If you go for the ball and draw any contact it's a foul. If you challenge the shot and draw any contact it's a foul. You're basically saying the defender has no right to space. It's dumb.

What would constitute a charge? Anything? Or are we just done with that and the offensive man can do whatever he wants to do?
An offensive push off, lowering your shoulder to clear space, pushing a defender who’s actually playing defense, lots of things can still be called a foul.

But beating a defender to get to the rim only to be stopped by a player who’s abandoned all semblance of playing defense, and in fact left their man wide open to become a fence post, shouldn’t be a foul.

In the play referenced on this thread, the defender was not beaten at all. He was the lone defender on a 2-1 fast break. He was stopping the ball - it's a good defensive play. You are basically putting the defensive guy at a complete disadvantage. If he goes up to "challenge the shot" he'll be out of position to do anything if the defender passes the ball to the other guy on the break.

It's like you all can't think through the unintended consequences of what you're suggesting. But you are a group-think moron so it's not your fault.

What position was in in to do anything with a pass to the other guy on the break after he stopped, covered his nuts and fell down?
