I'm interested to see how far our PPG drops when we get into SEC "play". I will say, unlike past teams, this team is much harder to "junk" up because of the pressure we put on defenses. Still expect FT shooting contests in dimly lit arenas at 11:40 PM for the next two months.

brady just cares a lot, and if you've been around here long enough, you've seen me idiotically rage on more than one occasion (which in no way means I'm an idiot.)

80 proof once threatened to pull me through a traffic cone, head first, because I bitched about Randall Cobb crying over a loss.

Let’s be real. 2 years ago, same game, would have been a 71-62 grinder.

Oscar 23 & 19. Etc

Incredible individual player, deserving of all the accolades & BBN worship, especially the kiddos. He’s a legit animal, unprecedented really in what he does.

Just a terrible fit/drug for coach. Stunted the team & other guys. And system. Also a clear lockerroom weirdo & chemistry divider.

Called that early, but an unfortunate/sad truth.

I’m over the moon at what’s going on right now. Shew wee JFC GD. We’ll see what happens in March, all that matters….well, maybe not ALL.

Fun exists in UKBB again, that matters a lil too — and what a boon to winter it is. 🙌🏽😍❤️

My message last night was to try to let Rogue know that life doesn’t end if you can’t do everything you want. If it helps anyone else going through health issues then that’s even better. I was just lucky enough to have bad genetics.

I still do lots of things others in better shape can’t and will continue to enjoy life. If you looked at me not knowing I’m all messed up you wouldn’t know it. I don’t want a pity party when I still have a lot to live for. Get busy living or die feeling sorry for yourself! God only gives you what you can handle!

UKBeav, I just started the steroids last night because of the flare ups. It’s 6 day pack of Prednisone. I won’t be taking any when this is done.

I take methotrexate every Thursday! I started on 2.5 then got it increased to 5mg after 6 months. Probably have to go to 7.5 soon to keep from getting full blown arthritis. It usually doesn’t even bother me other than the occasional headache or queasy stomach and that’s not often. Probably because I went through a very rough experimental chemo many years ago when I was misdiagnosed. Went through Interferon for a year before they figured out I didn’t have Hep C.🤦🏻‍♂️ That’s why they tried the experimental chemo for a year then finally figured out I had PCT. Those two drugs did more damage to me than any of my diseases. Can’t remember the name of the experimental chemo and honestly don’t want to because it was pure hell.

As my GP says I’m a backwards unicorn. I just tell him “you can’t kill what can’t be killed”……Predator 2 quote.

Raise your hand if you had Ohio St/Mizzou 3-0 in the 3rd.

Little lass had surgery this morning to remove adenoids which will hopefully stop the insane nose bleeds that she has been having. Talk about a basket of nerves last night. Didn’t get much sleep at all. I knew that this was a very routine surgery but the thought having her going under anesthesia made my mind go places that it shouldn’t. She did have a hard time coming out of it and waking up, I’ve never seen a body convulse and flop around like she did which was quite difficult.

She did say at one point, before fully waking, that I was “weird and farted a lot” so that was funny and maybe a tad true.

Speaking of disasters…

Bought (small fortune) wife tix and ‘backstage’ passes for a show in Brooklyn tonight. Completely misleading itinerary.

Here we sit in a warehouse. To a thudding bass track.
It’s an all-out, seizure-inducing rave.
Doors opened at 10:00.
Kids are already tripping balls.

Our dude doesn’t go on til 2:00am.

I want to kill everyone.

what planet am I on?

Waaaay too old for this ****

- Into my third bourbon. So I have a nice, mature, responsible adult Kentucky buzz.

- This team is a JOY. I love them all. I see the bigger benefit of Wagner. The only one I have issue with is Edwards but I like the kid. Just not sure he’s a true wing. He’s getting better and has an aesthetically pleasing game.

- Found myself telling my wife who Daymeon Fishback is tonight, “that’s Daymeon Fishback calling the game. He’s from Kentucky- played ar Bowling Green Greenwood. Smooth wing …” Then I realized she wasn’t really interested.

- Is the portal about instant gratification OR is it more about the monetary value of the skill of bigtime athletes now? Stakes are much higher now. I mean I am cool being a nostalgic grump but I also like to be fair.

- Even as a youth, NEVER had a pull for Times Square NYE.

I think the guys on this Mizzou team would kill and be killed for that little Shrader RB. They rally around that tough little sonofabitch.

Chad , regarding Dameon F. tell her Strokin_Bandit - a guy you know from the internet - lit him up multiple times in high school. He was a sophomore figuring out his superpowers when I was a sr.

Sometimes one little “true” dig can sink a guy - ie. Trump calling Jeb Bush “low energy.”

Harbaugh calling Day out for being cocky when he was “born on 3rd base” maybe another one. He’s a fine enough coach but dude’s either lost something or, more likely, never had it.

UKBeav, appreciate it! Lots of people in worse shape and outlook towards life. I refuse to use a disabled title or even the blue card for your car that lets you park upfront! I can still walk and do everything healthy people do.

August, only thing worse than a sick kiddo is one having surgery of any type. Hang in there since the little ones are tougher than we give them credit. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and it cures the problem.

Kooky, I feel you as these steroids have me feeling homicidal. So jacked up I’m like a crack monkey.

So Eli F Drinkawhatever just led Mizzou to a Top 5’ish season & casual easy waxing of mighty OSU?

Lol.

With another coach they reached B2B SEC CHAMPIONSHIP games swiftly after entering the “impossible” SEC. All within a decade.

Sure, they were marginal the other 7 years, but cmon

Missouri? They were picked 12/14 in the SEC this year.

Skinny Mark needs to make a leap soon or gtfo.

Appreciate all he’s done to elevate our PROGRAM in all aspects, never been better in that regard. But at some point, and soon, you have to also validate all that on the field & have a special season. And Not a “UK special season”, he’s done that already, a few times. Next level please.

Bad luck on the QB injury but having your starting QB transfer out of a top 7 program before playing the bowl game is tremendously bizarre and an epic failure.

Day isn’t going to ever have a better team than last year with Stroud leading the way so it’s all down hill, but if Harbaugh leaves I guess he could make top 12 regularly enough.

Bettors raked today as all lines that moved hit. Thats the good stuff!

Just got in from the rave. I smell like strawberry vapes, Red Bull and skunk weed.

Our guy came on and did a set of barely recognizable versions of songs we dig.

Pocket Tuco Salamanca wearing pearls and feeding his 3 smokin-hot Coke whores constant bumps was a show unto himself in the ultra VIP section. I was ready for this 5’ fool to start a fight with someone.

Some famous DJ (Maceo Plex) was gettin ready for a 6-hour set to sunrise. Eff that ****.

Nil money and opt outs. Assume the money so big at some levels that bowl money won’t make a difference on staying and playing given what they’ve made already.

Anyone concerned about our basketball defense?

Went to NYC (or “the city” as the reals know it) last year for Christmas. When we were leaving town they were setting Times Square up for NYE. Lotta guardrails and pens to shove people in so they could stand in the cold or rain or whatever, probably wearing diapers, definitely wearing Planet Fitness swag, to not see crap (that stage they have all the stuff on is tiny as eff).

Count me in with my good internet friend and fellow NKY GYEROMAN WCC- NYE in Times Square can be for thee, but not for me.

Went to Time Square in the 1998–>1999 year. Absolutely freezing. Got there at 4:00 PM could barely see the ball, pissed in a circle and it froze over. Glad it’s off the list but was something I never wanted to do again.

-I avoid times Square on "normal" days, too crazy... nye sounds like hell on earth.

-I really hope that cms will recognize the benefit of bringing more pressure on defense and adapt accordingly based on yesterday's experience, It will never be more obvious... if he refuses to evolve after that, he's never gonna.

Went to NYC/Times Square after 9/11 for New Year’s. Somehow we changed NYE plans and decided to take a Greyhound to AC to gamble.

That bus was hyped on the way. On the way back that thing was loaded full of sads.

It’s a shame that kids today can gamble on just about anything with their IPhone. All gambling college age kids should have to take that type of trip once to learn what your life will be like if you keep making poor decisions.

I know Cal hates that we give up some easy buckets, but I don’t mind that we take chances on D because I think when we increase the speed of the game and increase the amount of total possessions we have it puts at advantage over any team in the nation.

That said, as they say in the NBA and I think it also applies in March Madness, at some point in the playoffs you have to be able to score and also get stops in a half court set. Obviously the scoring isn’t going to be an issue for us. But I also think we can get stops - especially with Thiero in the game.

Yesterday Sheppard had 11 points, 50% FG / 40% 3P shooting, 5 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks and hurt his season averages in points, both shooting percentages, and steals. 🤣

* I'm glad Antonio Reeves essentially got his own individual senior day. Dude always seems to slide a bit under the radar. I remember seeing photos of him and Adou last year coaching little kids at the Y on a Sunday after playing a late night game on the road in the SEC (maybe Arkansas). What a great kid. He's always got a smile on his face and seems like he's on the All-Good Attitude team.

* Burks showed a bit yesterday. Cal kept Bradshaw and Edwards on the bench a lot down the stretch yesterday, presumably because they weren't rebounding. With Adou, Cal seems to have finally understood the value of getting a 4 year combo forward. Hopefully Burks is Adou 2: Electric Boogaloo.

* We have to get back to actually having a Big Blue Wall. That to me has been the biggest issue the last few years. Stoops has won a lot of games he really shouldn't have with some well timed clock killing drives and opportunistic defensive stops.

Yesterday our defense was on the field way too long. We needed to be able to score on one 75 yard clock killing drive in the fourth quarter and couldn't. Hopefully we can add at least two more offensive tackles to the roster for next year. I don't think Courtland Ford is the answer.

We have played that way for 10 years, no reason to see it change now. How many times do we line up 10-12 yds off the receivers? Not being pressure. Give up long 3rd down conversations? First I thought it was a personnel issue but since they are such great recruiters that can’t be it.

I have never understood prevent defense in those situations. You’ve been relatively successful all game long playing a certain style and the last minutes of a game you change it up. Toe it shows zero confidence in your guys to do the job.

-idk... it literally cost a win in the most obvious/stark way possible. Just being optimistic.

^I'm pro soft zone in certain situations: elite qb/wr that can "take the top off defense" easily, that was not the case yesterday.

I finally saw this in a game the other day where the offense had the ball on the 50 and needed to throw a Hail Mary. The defense blitzed 6 and basically said you’re not gonna have time to set and throw the ball that far. Worked perfectly.

I think you have to do the same thing on 3rd and long. Make the guy throw it quickly and make a play on the ball.

It’s called “tight butthole syndrome.”
Both of our main sports coaches have it!
Is there a proctologist in the house? Maybe hire someone to just peg them?🤷🏻‍♂️

A blitz potentially ends the game while a giant puss prevent defense only extends the game. I just don’t get the soft *** stuff.

Josh Allen saved Stoops many many times with game ending tackles and pressure.
