Now that our season is over & ceiling established after this embarrassing OT conference road loss, Is there a protest meetup anywhere, Bristol?

Keep us updated 🙏

-Wynn, gfy. And anyone else ignorant enough to think Adou being a “*****” has even 5% to do with him not playing. Lmao. 🤡

Yeah- in that situation, where calm and clock-eating is needed, we don’t need Dillingham doing his hot sauce routine. It was chaotic. Should have had Shep or DJ with the ball. Would have been cool with Dillingham taking the shot however.

Look - it’s a little tough figuring out who and what when you have four good guards like we do. I’ll give Cal that. He got it wrong, IMO. Others didn’t have an issue with Dillingham with it there. Fair.
Rack this and what I meant during the game. Yes, the official TO should be DJ, but in that situation, we need nothing till 8 seconds left.

OK with Dillingham taking the shot bc he literally had flames coming out of his ***, but didn’t need him doing hard dribbles and step backs with 15 seconds on the clock then throwing an overhead 25 foot pass.

Just dribble the damn ball there.

Taking the Dolphins for no reason other than EVERYONE thinks the team from Miami can’t handle -5 temps………as if that makes KC happy in these conditions.

Miami’s speed isn’t going to slow down.

Should be a blast of a game.

KC has been playing like **** too. I don’t love Miami in that weather but if Hill is healthy and Tua doesn’t lay an egg I like their chances.

Tua is 6-13 in temps under 70 degrees and 0-4 under 40 degrees with a 57% passer rating

The Miami Dolphins are 0-10 in temps below 40 degrees.

Wish we would have won, but we were abnormally bad at times and their two guards were ridiculously good today. Also rebounding.

Damn, though, this group plays hard, plays with pace and we put up 39 3's... mostly by folks who should be taking those shots. I'm not hate-watching, hearing a constant "GOOOOOO" or wishing someone would hurry up and go chase their dreams. That's worth something and we can all find negatives but if you're miserable watching this year's team, it ain't the team causing it.

Not confident at all going forward. Contenders win games like this. This team reminds me a lot of 2016 Kentucky. Great guard play, soft inside, suspect defense. Feels like the ceiling is low. Just my opinion, but I feel like we were exposed today. Especially with the performance late and in OT.

I thought Tua would be a bust, then conceded i whiffed bc he was silly for a good bit?

I get NFL/NHL confused sometimes admittedly, but wasn’t he killing it at some recent stage?

-Wynn, drive by happenstance. My bad. You did make a stupid *** comment that pissed me off but whatevs

What is your go-to gummy right now, real talk?

Yes Tua was killing it all season then Waddle missed some games as did Hill and Mostert.

His timing has been off ever since and he is a timing guy and does not have a big arm. The other thing for the Dolphins is as explosive as their offense can be, it is all about the run as Mostert/Achane have made ridiculous runs with their speed all year which both have been hurt off and on the past few weeks too.

One thing that confounds me is how year-in and year-out, we’re terrible at defending PnR. I don’t know what principle Cal coaches, but it hasn’t worked for the better part of a decade unless it was WCS or Davis who could just switch.

For as well as Ugo played today, he was abhorrent defending pick actions. He’s never connected, doesn’t hedge, and isn’t quick enough to recover. And if Reeves is guarding the ball, it’s an automatic bucket. Reeves is taking WAY too many possessions off on defense.

This team is too quick and too heady to be this bad defensively. I know it’s not Cal’s style, but as explosive as we are offensively, I’d just play a pack line defense and force the opponent to beat us shooting 3s.

Wait until the game is over, you are probably right but I’m a TD away from covering so watch the refs.

Also, RE: PnR defense, who is good at it? The rules are in place the defense basically has to let it happen and just open to play prevent defense anymore.

What’s false? I might lose the bet, fine I’ll break even today, or lose the juice.

As far as PnR, who is good at it? Seriously most offenses use it to create space for their downhill guys as do we.

I'm honestly not worried about today's game at all. I was expecting a loss. I think some of you were as well, especially with all of the other top-ranked teams losing to unranked opponents. We weren't immune to the craziness of college basketball this week.

A&M was preseason Top 25. They've struggled and were desperate for a win. They played today with the ferocity of a team that was backed into a corner. They seemingly got every loose ball or 50/50 rebound. You could see it in their eyes at the start of overtime. They wanted it more. They truly deserved to win.

As for us, everyone made a bonehead play or two. Everyone got torched by Taylor and Radford, one of the best backcourt tandems in the country. Everyone got beat to a loose ball or had rebound taken from them. Nearly everyone missed a layup. We probably should have gotten beaten by double digits.

Yet we took it to OT. If we had Thiero, we win today. He would have grabbed some of those loose balls and tough rebounds. This game will be a lesson. They will get better.

-Happy Sunday, best day of the week amigos.

-Really thought we’d win yesterday before and even during the game. 😤

-Great to see Rudd last night at our friend’s 50th.

Thanks for letting me have a seat and hangout for a bit with your crew man, didn’t know a soul there but you and Jason.

-Tried one of those Athletic NAs, the IPA, and it really wasn’t bad, tasted basically like an NA, one was plenty though.

-Gym, Church, First Watch Brunch, Tattoo & Read, the usual Sunday when home, love a good routine.

Anyone else have problems with Peacock last night? Mine wouldn’t even open from the app menu and if it did it would freeze up. Tried for like 30 mins then said F it. Pretty lame

This ain’t on Cal. He literally said the game would come down to rebounding.

It did.
Well... if the coach KNEW what it would come down to, and, you know, didn't scheme to mitigate that factor, well... that sounds a lot like: good scouting and piss poor coaching.

In fact, for all intents and purposes it DEFINES poor coaching. Which kind of makes your statement that Calipari is not, in any way culpable for the loss, well, odd at best.

As a basketball, I’ve come to believe many times your D has little to do with a team making a bunch of threes - especially a poor shooting team going off.

… but those F’ing straight linedriv layups still have pissed off.

The problem, as I see it, and I’m no basketball, is that when you have guys getting beat on straight line/1v1 drives it causes someone to have to rotate over to help which then gets everyone else scrambling to find a man. This leads to an open look which is a much easier shot. I think that is why teams shoot so much better against us. Obviously your most average shooters will have a better percentage when they are shooting a wide open shot as opposed to with a hand in their face.

And we scramble a lot
