Lance Ware on Nova looks weird. We could honestly use minutes from him right now.

Not sure how we stack up against Marquette, but they have some skill. ∆9 could be coloring that picture tho.

Love MLK day hoops. About to head outside to ride bikes in the driveway before the impending polar vortex.

I’d like to play Marquette in the regular season, I’m not necessarily sure right notes I’d want to play them in March.

The difference between Cowboys fans and fans of other teams is we don’t give a **** about your cute little team, sweetie.

I get strong UL / Little brother vibes from you people. It’s really not much difference between y’all and the elementary school kid who loved Duke (or UNC) even though he was born and raised in Central Ky. Congrats!

Went to Arturo’s last night to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Party of 10. Love my large family, I just can’t stand eating out in restaurants with more than 6 people. [Unless (of course) you’re at a Michelin star restaurant where they have the horses to accommodate.]

You can’t talk to half the group anyway, the service is stretched, you wait around for anyones missing drink or entree (manners and whatnot). But, we had a good time. And the food was primo.

Most importantly, I set up a kitchen and coal oven pizza demo next month. My favorite pie, this side of Pepe’s New Haven.

I had some more thoughts on Coen, but then, when I got on here, I remembered that I don't give two fvcks what he does or doesn't do. That is actually a pretty good attitude to adopt, not just with respect to Coen, but in a broader sense ie humanity/people. People: at the end of the day, are they REALLY worth the trouble/effort?
Seinfeld likes this post. “What is the deal with people? Aren’t they just the worst?”

Bro I’ve been shouting this at the Wodie Crew since 2003.

Dak is an issue but that defense was atrocious yesterday.
Another way to look at it is that the Green Bay offense made them look that way. Since about the halfway point of the season, the signs have been there. There have been hiccups here and there, but when they've had a healthy Aaron Jones, and an intact O-line they've demonstrated the ability to be a pretty devastating offense.

To not give a **** about things is the trait I’m most happy i acquired as an adult. Wish I had it as a teenager/young adult.
I've got really great news for you. Once that takes hold, it accelerates exponentially. LIke an express train.

There is almost nothing as liberating as the ability to completely disregard/cast off, any concern or thought about the feelings and opinions of others. Given enough practice, you'll reach the point where you won't even notice them at all. You'll just see another empty head, with a workable mouth attached to it.

Sports Randos from the weekend:

- Yeah, I'm a Cowboys fan. I don't have to give my bonafides. Just know I've been through all of the ups and downs.

- I love watching these Cats play, but you gotta stop somebody at some point. It doesn't matter how much out their *** the other team is playing. Find a way to stop them.

The need for Thiero really became obvious on Saturday. This team needs an enforcer - someone willing to put an opponent on their *** and just glare at them. Our guys are too finesse. Too soft. We're not going to be one guard short like usual. We're going to be one enforcer short (I don't think we've had one of those in a while - Lance maybe - and he didn't really play enough to be that guy). Love 'em, but show a little nastiness.

- Last week was the killer week of the high school season:

Mon - F/JV game on the road; get home at 10.
Tue - V game on the road; get home at 10:30 (2 coaches sick)
Wed - I get to run V and F practice due to coaches' illnesses. - Get home at 7:00
Th- F/JV home game; home at 9
Fri - V game on road across town; get obliterated; get home at 9:30.
Sat - Up at 5:30 to begin cooking ribs for the concession stand. Hosting an all-day Varsity classic; 4 games beginning at noon. Rolling nonstop up to our V game which started at 6:00. Lost in heartbreaking fashion. Stuck around the office. Went to eat a late dinner with my wife. Home at 10.
Sun - Rest with a dash of church.

- That's the life of a high school basketball coach in Kentucky. I teach English in between time!

- I was happy to see a little snow, obviously.

- Pretty crappy sports week and weekend as it pertains to my fave teams. However, I'm a little excited about the resurgence of Baker Mayfield. Hopefully he can land a few more endorsement deals and get back to entertaining me with his natural deadpan delivery in insurance commercials. Dude has charisma.

- Peace out, friends. Gotta start this Google Meet for Snow D - ERRRRR - NTI Day #1.

How are Nashville/Memphis/Oxford getting snow but NKY misses? This **** has been happening a lot the past 10 years. It goes over and under us.

-Lex has a solid amount on the ground. Probably enough for some sledding this afternoon. I can deal with cold and snow. Cold and rain, fackoff.

-13 hours in airports yesterday and 2 canceled flights. Finally got to Lou(not the original destination) at 8p and home around 9:30. The staff was a disaster but the customers were all pretty calm. Gave me a little hope in humanity. Obviously, the weather was the issue. My AA app thinks I'm boarding a flight this morning. SMH.

-MY NFL fandom is more about who I want to lose rather than who I want to win. Outside of my Packers, of course. How lucky am I to be born into following a great franchise?

-Cats lost but my Heat took 3 in a row and Pack embarrassed those loser *** Cowboys. So not a shabby sports ball weekend.

-IMO, this needs to be Stoops' last year. It's obvious the entire staff isn't in love with being at UK. JFC, either **** or get off the f*cking pot. If they don't want to be here then head for greener pastures. We'll be fine. Spending nearly 13M on the top 4 coaches with this crew. Fairly certain we can make that work finding people that want to be on our sideline.

-Guy on the plane next to us sits down, greats us, seems completely normal, pops in his ear buds... and opens a book titled, "it's not your fault, you needed help." Ok, good for him tackling the problem, but not really the **** you want to see when on a plane. So I spent the majority of the flight devising plans to submit this guy when he makes a run for the emergency exit.

- Oh my Cowboys.....Was kinda expected though.

- No way McCarthy survives...Jerry looked pissed.

- Coen testing the waters again? FOH

- Everybody loves this basketball team because they are fun to watch, and that is a lot better than what we have had for a bit, but they ain't bringing home number 9.

- Way too crappy defensively and way too soft. Adou is not going to stop Dickinson or Edey.

- A NPOY would not help this season's team? Wow, FOH with that also.

- It doesn't matter if Cal has the dream team, you can see an opposing player and in 5 minutes know he is going to be a major problem, and 35-40 minutes later it turns out he was a major problem.

- Cal does the same thing sitting in the stands watching a high school senior play, as he does sitting on the bench coaching a UK game. NOTHING.

- Missed a huge FD parlay cuz Najee Harris got 37 rushing yards instead of 40. FML

- Why does DIRECTV not differentiate between men's and women's hoops on the guide? Says college basketball and it's a women's game. Are other services doing that? FOH with that as well.

- Very odd that Lexington got 3-5 inches and just a little north of Gtown got nothing. Usually the other way around.

-Yea the freezing weather and no golf and a UK loss has me in a Shiat mood.

- Wrexham got promoted!!!!

- Release WAYNE!!!

The Cowboys losing as a -7.5 favorite, at home, where they hadn’t lost in two years, playing against the youngest team in the NFL, with a QB that had never played in the playoffs was “expected”?

That’s a SOLID cop out there.

If you said, “Them losing in the playoffs was expected” well okay but still only one team doesn’t.

Cowboys fans are something else man. 😘

Well I am a Redsox fan as well, and until 2004 you get accustomed to losing games the way they did, and the way the Cowboys do.

Don't know what else to tell you.

If you are seriously surprised at the Cowboys losing in the playoffs then I don’t know what to tell you. It’s what they do, all the way back to after Aikmen left. It will always be that way as long as Jerry is the GM and pays mediocre QB’s (Romo/Dak) like they are elite.

Making turnip greens and cornbread for supper tonight. Was going to make soup but I’m not poor and couldn’t find any clean rocks with all of this snow. Just kidding, made soup Saturday.

I’ve put back on all of the weight I lost last year and then some since October. Diet went to **** and I lost the motivation to keep running/walking. Quit going to the gym because of burnout but was getting a little discouraged because I didn’t feel I was making the progress I wanted. Now I see how much progress I’d really made and now I’m back behind the 8 ball again. Gotta clean that up, I only have 2 pair of jeans that fit.
