You serious, Clark? This has been a problem going on 15 years.
They’ve switched to something that no one does the last couple of years where the guy guarding the ball switches to the cutter instead of staying put and defending the lane. We switch that and teams are finally taking advantage of it and getting easy layups. It’s been a struggle over the years true but not to this extent. It happened 3 times last game and for them to not fix it yet is infuriating. I don’t see anyone switch on these plays like we do and leave the ball entry guy.

Why not just zone it like everyone else?

Well obviously the last 7 mins of the UGA game meant nothing. We're fine. Edwards got his 20 mins so we're cooking towards March.

Another season where the chances of the regular season SEC title are basically gone in January. Fan f*cking tastic. The Friday night 9p SECT slot is now the Kentucky Special.

I mean at this point, with our D, if he’s gonna play 9-10 guys (when Thiero comes back), just go balls to the wall all out press to at least force 40 min of tempo.
He doesn’t like to press either because he hates the easy buckets it can give up when broken from time to time. I doubt he’ll make any defensive adjustments but if he does I’ll be pleasantly surprised. He should get Huggins in and work on mixing up defenses.

I saw little press tonight and I also saw lots of easy baskets tonight.

I just don’t know how it’s humanly possible to play as many minutes as Edwards does and keep scoring 2 points and 2 rebounds per.

But Reed is in the doghouse?

Looks like it will probably be a decade now without a #1 seed. That’s a long *** time for UK.
It’s possible because Cal is a f’n idiot that needs generational talent to overcome his incompetence.

It’s honestly the weirdest thing I’ve seen. As passive as Poythress was it was after his FR season once we expected a monster, but this with Edwards is truly sad.

He isn’t even looking at the basket with the ball in his hands and is almost playing hot potato to get it to anyone else and out of his hands.

I feel bad for the kid at this point because coach forces him into playing, and he clearly is as uncomfortable as I’ve ever seen a kid that looks the part.

This was an all system failure tonight, from top to bottom. We see games like this every year so it isn’t the end of the world but it is also the exact way we will go out in the tournament.

Also, whoever is responsible for making sure reed shoots it more than 4 times a game needs to be canned post haste. There is 0 reason for our best shooter to be that gun shy and it happens every game.

Minimum of 10 fga for him should be mandatory.
This needs a re-post. Reed is too unselfish, and if anyone on the staff is responsible for holding him back or not creating opportunities for him, then GTFO right now.

I don’t want to hear any BS about “I don’t promise recruits playing time they gotta earn it” ever again. That’s the only explanation for Edwards. Playing him hurts the team and hurts him.

I was thinking about this the last few games. Those guys all know that he shouldn’t be out there and it had to have an effect on them. Anyone that has played team sports knows what I’m talking about.

Wynn, did you know it also contributes to twice as many heart attacks?

Hopefully this was our WV game and we got it behind us early. 🤷🏻‍♂️
