Now that the fan base has gotten over it's initial jitters about this hire, there is something very Kentucky version of "It's a Wonderful Life". We didn't want a future of "Pottersville/Caltown" which wasn't living at all, just surviving. But the siren call has gone out that UK basketball needs us and the fans are pouring the money in. People you haven't heard from or seen in years are getting in touch and saying "anything you need"

The narrative that people around the country put out or believe that those crazy UK fans ran off a great coach, they want a championship every year, who would want to come there, etc., just pisses me off. We want championships just like any fanbase does, but one of the things that really sets us apart is what we really want is effort. If you laid it all out there and came up short, we love you just as much, if not more than the ones that won it all. Rupp's Runts, the Bombino's, the Unforgetable's, and a handful of others are beloved just as.much as any of those eight champions.
The doors are the most overrated band of all time. Hence, they cannot have the greatest rock and roll song ever. Terrible take.
