Sign up for one that we put on. It is at least free.

They're all free, just annoying. Try and do all online ones ---> next, next, next, next = take the test, pass "4 Hours" done in 15 minutes.

<-------- Got paddled in 2nd grade for throwing a Connect 4 board across the room. My mom taught across the hall, and my teacher went to get her permission; she gladly gave her blessing and even came out to watch the ceremony. :flushed:

What in the hell is a Phunkee Duck and why hasn't BBdK gotten one yet? Looks like a mini-segway?

An unfiltered live sports HBO channel would be pretty cool. Or at least a trend toward 24/7 sports with less topics like Teebow and deflating footballs.

I went to a one room school from grades 1-6, well, one year we had a teacher, she was fairly old that made you go get your own switch to whip you with. If you brought back one that was dried out and broke, she made you go get a good one and whip you again. Good times....

Had a principal in high school who could raise you off the floor when he whipped you with his paddle, or so I heard, I never had the honor. Probably true, he was a scary fellow.

I got paddled a couple times.

I can't remember if parental consent was needed at the time of whooping. I remember sitting and waiting for *something* before the paddle came out. Was that trying to reach the parents, or just instilling fear?

Was The Duece one of the biggest rock star athletes to ever play at UK? He certainly is the biggest for football and he can even rival Wall and Chapman overall, IMO.

I was 8 1/2 hours away during his prime in 97 & 98 and just by talking to friends/family back home people you sensed his legendary status.

Mumme's first game against UL in 97wasn't on tv and this was when the interweb was in it's infancy stages. Parents mailed me newspaper clippings from that game. The buzz and fun around the program in 97 & 98 had to be unreal.

I never got paddled, just like the other 90% of gyero. ts

You shouldn't mix guns and booze, but Anth is notorious for being a gun *****. No doubt he overreacted.

Got a lot of laughs out of the gyero email chain last night. Everybody laughing at how Geese is so easy to rile up on Gyero. The guy just doesn't get it.

Me: Geese talks about his baby all the time

Geese: I LOVE MY WIFE AND MY BaBY. I'll DEfENd them from THE DEVIL, the WoRLD, EVIL and GYERO. I ATE the PLACENTA of MY bABYs birth TO SHoW MY LOVE. *** U AND anyONE else THaT StAnds in MY bABYs way.

He was certainly the biggest star at UK back then- bigger than any of the basketball players.

It definitely wasn't required at my elementary school....was just a courtesy by my teacher since they were friends, and she knew my mom would want to be in on the action anyways.

-Per my parents, nobody came close to Sonny Collins in the rockstar category.

Girls used to tell me he talked about himself in the third person. "Hey what do you think about Tim Couch? You want to go out with Tim Couch?"

They acted like it was so whatever, but you could tell he pretty much waxed whomever he wanted.

Can't see how any UK athlete was ever bigger than Rex Chapman- considering the era, how good he was, the style of his game and the fact he's a Kentuckian.

Had Soc 101 with Couch. He just sat in the back and didn't speak at all (I don't blame him). Super easy A, tons of athletes. Nazr and Masielle had the class in the first hour.

That sucks. Great space. Sounds like management was an issue but also needed a Main Street storefront presence IMO.

I can't even keep up with the best restaurants in Louisville. Either Louisville is another New Orleans or BBdK is full of hyperbolic ****.

Louisville isn't New Orleans for sure, not many places that are -- but it is certainly one of the better food cities in the country outside of the obvious/major/bigger ones...that's not exactly news.

And yeah, I can't keep up either. I haven't been to half of the places that have opened up in recent years...

As your boy Jeff Ruby noted, "There are more great restaurants on one street in Louisville than the entire greater-Cincinnati area"

The former Buster's music venue on Manchester Street has sold for $1.01 million to a trio of Pikeville businessmen who plan to keep it as an entertainment venue.

Mitch Potter, working with business partners Adam Hatton and Ryan Schwartz, doing business as Manchester Realty, bought the property at 899 Manchester on Tuesday from Barry McNees.

Buster's Billiards & Backroom, which originally was on Main Street, was displaced by the CentrePointe project in September 2009. Clark and Jessica Case re-opened it as an anchor for the Distillery District. But Buster's closed abruptly in December after struggling financially.

That looks like a solid deal. The property is basically turn key and the Distillery District is finally becoming what it was supposed to have been years ago. Bet that places crushes it this time around.

I know all about Louisville's food scene, bub. I've been to Wicks and LaBambas multiple times. Even Bearnos once.
