-Terry is right behind Ninjainthefort and Bret HATE.

-Been hohum on this season until tonight. If that's our 2nd/3rd/4th/5th best player every night. Watch out. I guess UNC is going to be good. Count me skeptical on Maryland. LEGGO.

-Tried to be cool parents and grab dinner at West 6th/Smithtown. False, pull up to park and little dude loses it. On top of that he's had a rough day. Place was super packed. Did't even unload him. Headed to Kroger for a steak and ended up on the deck watching Jamal just murk motherf*ckers.

BIG TIME SOFTBALL UPDATE

After about 3 rainouts and a bye, your ol' pal MaxPowerrr had a breakout night going 4/4 with a double and 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a 24-11 win. Only blemish on the evening was one of my kids knocking over my beer in the dugout. But that's why you pack extras, folks.

My top 5 Gyero posters:

1. UCL-- I think he could actually make a living writing. Yes, he's that good. NTM, he seems to be the most well adjusted of all you fools.

2. BBdK--. Not the most talented, but definitely the most entertaining. And he does it in volume.

3. Pti-- Not the most likable poster, but the unique way he approaches GYERO is entertaining.

4. Coolcat45-- This is based solely on the new coolcat. The one without the chip on his shoulder. Has the ability to go higher. Solid takes on everything.

5. wcc31.-- Touching wcc. Little dude is sneaky good.

Honorable mention: UKRob 73-- Dude has come out of no where to become one of my favorite posters.

Under valued: Doc-- He knows his role and plays it to a tee.

Guilty pleasure: Wodie Sloot-- Girl is actually a entertaining writer. Always read her posts, no matter the subject.. NTM, she's a sweetheart.

Over-rated: Wildcat Willy-- nm

Best of the rest: Geese feeder-- Mainly due to his BB takes. They're usually pretty solid.

Beckett July 2015 GYERO Price Guide

1. ($10) SAE: Bo Jackson frozen ropes, every time. "Gets it." & "Sees the court." at a very high level.

2. ($7) BBdK: Grinder at the top of the game with occasional "turbo boosts" from Rob's class humor attacks as accompaniment.

3a/b. ($4) Richie/Clark: Domestic complaint auteurs.

4a/b. ($3.75) UCL/Max: Jokesters.

5. ($3) Rob: Like all great villain masterminds, he has a slight flaw (grammar/spelling/diction). The defensiveness from which may have led to his "edge" and causes folks to underestimate him. Ruthless.

Some hack at NBC Rob Dauster has a stick up his *** re: Jamal Murray.

Dude kinda slammed him in one of his articles last week after Canada's first couple Pan Am games after some sloppy passes and bad decision making (despite him going off). Lulz. Nearly airone in the known sports world is lauding this kid and dude makes a backhanded tweet, 'WELL AFTER BEING A NO SHOW THE ENTIRE GAME JAMAL MURRAY FINALLY GETS IT GOING TO BEAT A NO NAME SCRUB *** USA PLAYING FOURTH GAME IN FOUR DAYS'

Grief. Even Jeff Greer had nothing but nice things to say about this kid.

Anyway, Murray is going to be a helluva college combo guard and probably lead Cats in scoring. He isn't a *great* 2G pro prospect due to moderate athleticism/speed but that won't matter to us one bit. He'll have plenty of time to work on his P&R/playmaking ability (he'll prolly need to be a PG in the NBA) auditioning for the scouts this winter. Kid has moxy beyond his years and is a helluva shooter. He and Ullis will be absolutely dynamite.

I'm so effing giddy about our backcourt. They'll be devastating spreading the floor attacking off the bounce. There will be so much space to create it will be sickening.

Ullis/Briscoe/Murray/AP/Skal? GTFO.

Haven't been this psyched since AD committed. The pieces are there.... and most importantly --- the pieces really fit. Lesssgo.

Dauster graduated from a fan blog (Audacity of hoops maybe?) to a third tier college basketball blog at NBC. He's a fan of some other team, I forget which one, but he plays the impartial media observer online. In short, he's in denial because for a brief moment this spring the college basketball media had hopes of a season of Kentucky taking lumps. Every time that kid has another great game against real competition in an organized setting the dream of mediocrity at Kentucky this season fades a little more.

In other news, I get to dig a ditch this afternoon. Woo hoo.

Really impressed with Murray's pace and feel for the game. He has that sixth sense when to go and when to slow down.

Kid can ball.

College bball is a guards' game and we'll have the best backcourt in the country.

This should be the most fun team to watch play since Cal arrived.

We had too many bigs last year. The lanes were always clogged.

Can't wait. DRIBBLE DRIVE MOTION, Geese!

World needs ditch diggers, Jeremy.

-I don't know how you could hate on Murray after the past week. He was going head to head with one of the top PGs in the country.

What he lacks in athletic ability be makes up for in craftiness. Those little floaters in the lane. Ha. That's what the twins were missing.

-Briscoe left wing, Murray on the right. Ulis directing. AP grabbing every board. Skal taking lobs. ::dancing emoticon::

-chrome on matte white helmets. :fire::100points:

My wife got me a YETI rambler for my b-day, and I can confirm they do come with a sticker that you may display at your discretion. Purchase accordingly.

I think it's possible that Cal puts in an open post offense (5-out) that will be a hybrid of what Notre Dame ran last year. Skal, Mulder, Python, Matthews, Lee, Willis . . . it also will allow Dom Hawkins to get in the rotation, perhaps. #Positionless is a key element in the open post offense. All parts are interchangeable. 1-3 is essentially the same position. The 4 and 5 are also the same.

* 2blue4u, calling me overrated is like calling UK football overrated.

Ouch.

You bastard.

* Controversial take:

Boiled hot dogs > grilled hot dogs

* Cut the grass, ran thru a goofy toy sprinkler thingee with the girls for a while, about to hit the gym then go to a big church festival. Cottage ham and green beans doing their thing in the crockpot.

All in all, not a bad day at all.

* Trade somebody, Reds. That is the only interesting thing left this season. Maybe Frazier chasing 50.

Pay no attention to that idiot, WW. Also in the boiled>grilled on the dogs, actually prefer steamed over both.

OMG, Murray just has it, when he is on the floor it is a totally different game out there. Canada always goes up a level with him running the point.

My question is, next year what is his role with UK? Starting 3 and backup PG?

A few dudes have posted pics of their toes by the pool in my FB feed. WTF?

In addition, does the majority of FB not understand hashtags are for Twitter? #getpumped.

I love all the GYERO peeps. I used to say that PTI was the one I was always most afraid to meet, but he was always extremely nice and friendly at tailgates.

One of my favorite real world GYERO memories: It was a UK/UofL football game at PJCS (2007 I think?), and I was on an aisle seat, and WS was a few rows behind me, and she was trashed. Every time she went up or down the stairs for bathroom, beers...she'd stop and loudly say "HI BLUEKEL!" and ask how I was doing.

JPuck is doing fine. He has adorable twins. I think he is living in Indy.

Speaking of some random GYERO pics:
I used to battle with tommy all the time. I made fun of his crew some. We get along great now tommy flashing the shocker here is probably perfect for that time.

Sadly, I'm not sure if these are GYERO folks with Sypher or not, but was hilarious at the time:

Someone mentioned NinjaInTheFort at some dinner. Here was a pic from that I believe

Guy in the orange tie is a close friend of mine. SAE's eldest brother is next to KS on the other side, he's posted here before iirc imo. Fantastic pic...

Spent the day shooting clays. Amazing really the amount of time they spent telling us no alcohol before or during the handling of guns.

- First firepit of the season and first sober weekend of the year. I needed both.

- Dogsitting. I love dogs. I hate manually picking up poop.

- UK Fan is such a F'ing idiot sometimes. You have people freaking out about who's going to be PG??? Why the hell do you think Cal started the positionless basketball thing a few weeks ago? Relaaaaaax- he's on it.

- Abita Strawberry Lager $6.99 a 12/pack, $13/case at my local liquor store. Not bad at all- 1999 prices.

- Hit a Catholic church festival tonight- has gone from a $10 drunk to now just a somewhat cheap bar.

- Can't make a Top 5 GYERO. Too many complimentary pieces. You can Top 5 it in sub-groups (best basketball takes, food takes, etc) but in total, too tough. You have guys I love like King Llama, Clark and Willy not getting any run, which just proves my point.
