Well they still have time obviously but I was there 5 weeks ago and this week. Huge difference. Like I said it'll be close. Like I don't think there will be a major problem hosting a game.

I think the rest of the renovation is awesome and honestly I don't care when it gets done. However that marquee front and center with vinyl signs that are different colors with different fonts is like slapping curb finders on your brand new car.

The renovation looks great overall and it'll look great when it's done.

But those fonts are seriously going to drive me bananas.

The whole Jamal Murray potentially showing up nearly 3 weeks after class starts deal just makes me uneasy.

I don't get the point in bitching about the sign. It's temporary, the project isn't even finished yet, and they are dropping about $200 mil on football right now.

Way too much to be excited about to hone in on bitching about a sign on the backside of the damned scoreboard that probably won't even be there by the end of the season.

Best I can tell he argued with people on Twitter that the current crop of PGA guys are weak compared to other eras.

I mean, the guy is generally a dick, but I didn't see anything he posted that warranted being called a piece of **** in a hydro post.

In short- he refuses to really acknowledge the current talent level on the PGA. Of course guys from other eras are going to think they played with the best- and maybe he did, but I think the current group deserves a lot of praise.

I think he even bet against Martin Kaymer last weekend

The only joy I get out of the awful sign is how it gives Richie a platform to demonstrate his passion.

"It's touching sign? Really? What a cheap *** hit in the nuts. 120 million and we slap a piece of hot stinking **** sign on the main entrance of the place. Good call. That's a sharp look. Wrong color as well and that atrocious looking script looks like something suitable for the entrance to Kentucky Kingdom. Really touching pops. Wow."

Drove by the stadium again last night to look at the sign and I don't think the color is really different so much as you just notice the different materials. I'm admittedly not a font geek so that didn't even register with me.

Looking at all the other massive improvements and how much better the overall area is, I just don't think anyone will really care that we have a temporary banner up on the back of our scoreboard.

It bugs me its spelled wrong. If you look up the song, it's 'till and not 'til. If you have a history with a song at least make your board match that history.

Right. I see that as a non-issue. The fact that they didn't bother to match the font with the existing lettering is what makes it look so horrible. That's also why it's frustrating. It was an easy fix and easy catch that pretty much any competent person would have been expected to make at their own job.

And I get that it's supposed to be in the same font as whatever the marketing materials that went out with everyone's season funeral tickets, but it looks like ****. Either change the whole thing to match the marketing or change the addition to match the existing lettering. Whichever route they chose would have been fine.

Looking at the sketch below...# 4 says ring of honor which on both ends of Commonwealth would give it a "closed in "feel if they are as large as the sketch portrays.

Did they decide against this or is this planned in another phase?
