being a us congressman would be ree-dic. pretty comical to hear billy Joe wildcat weigh the merits of that versus running a blog and hosting a call in show. no contest.
Not just a "blog and a call in show." They're both pretty substantial businesses that he built doing what he loves. I'd say it would be a hell of a tough decision. Considering he'll likely lose the first go around. Live a carefree(ish I know it's not all easy) life with 2 good businesses flourishing or leave it all to run for congress? It's a complete life changer.

For me it would be an easy decision but I'm not interested in politics at all.

Umm, Matt Jones does a tad more than "run a blog and host a call in show"

I realize you're in NOLA now, but the guy basically already IS a state representative here.

...Jurry will be in town and staying with me Friday night, switch that schedule around a night and come out with us.

-I make fun of Chad for bitching about buddies/parties, but that does sound pathetic. Which one was this?

I'm not really interested in politics either, but power, greed, graft, personal gain at the expense of others, under the table handouts, backroom underhanded dealings, personal favors, and widespread corruption are appealing.

Yeah, and he does live remotes from the Days Inn on RR 19 in Buzzard Lick.

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Being a gd elected US Congressman >>>>> what Jones is doing now. You realize he could still do a lot of the same work for KSR right?

-Another one of chad's ***** whipped friends. I had 2 of my boys pull shenanigans on their bachelor party and I didn't blame their wives, I blamed them for being pussies. If you can't say, "look I'm not going to cheat on you but its a bachelor party and I'm going to go to a strip club," then why are you marrying her? When you are going to spend 30-40 years with someone trust and honesty are pretty crucial.

-The ODU thing was awesome. MCF nailed it when he said, "I can just remember being president and having to talk the guys out of stupid **** like that."

Dumb college kids. They weren't hurting anyone. I think some people need to pop PCU in the VCR and loosen up.

Not sure which of my other friends are p-whipped, though.

Agree. This is getting really ridiculous.

Saw that article too, seems the fraternity should counter sue for being labled as "rape culture." None of their silly banners were actually stating their intended purpose was to rape anyone.

Ah, chad is getting smacked around in 2 threads and is grumpy. Grumpy wcc. I know how you get when we question your political views.

-Dude you ***** about your lame friends and their wives constantly. TS. I don't know any of them(I have met Ross) except through you in GYERO.

- I haven't mentioned any political views. My view is it's lame to dislike someone simply because they have opposing views. I'm sure Jones running would alienate his audience and I think that's pretty sad.

- No, I don't. I make fun of the general female way of thinking. Every guy I know does, except for you.

Anth isn't capable of making objective arguments about marriage/females because he's married to Wodie Sloot.

No matter how many times we remind him, he still doesn't get that you can't compare her to 95% of females. I don't think she's all that great personally ([winking]), but she's definitely different and the POLAR OPPOSITE of most ladies.

Yet, Anth is always "Hmm, well Wodie Sloot doesn't do that..." [eyeroll]

Jones could do a lot of the same work he does on KSR AND be a Congressman???

[laughing]

You think that's going to get in his way of posting one entry a week on the website? No.

Could still do a pretty good schedule of call in shows and daily radio programs if he wanted to. Who's going to fire him? His boss??

It's not exactly unprecedented for an elected official to also continue owning/operating other business interests too.

Exactly. I like pretty much every girl involved with my buddies. Doesn't mean they're not nuts.

It's just old fashioned guy talk anyway- not to be taken that seriously. Glad we have Anth "Champion of Marriage" around to shut that sort of talk down, though.

Your wife doesn't like strip clubs, hosting slumber parties at her home every weekend, & planning her entire year/vacation days 100% around UK Sports? That's weird, my wife loves that ****.

I bet the reason she locked HIS party down was because her and all of her hens went off the chain,
a couple of them maybe even her, got drunk and got railed in some cheap hotel by some loser who took advantage of bitches be horny while liquored up. Call it the PBPGS (Post Bachelorette Party Guilt Syndrome).

-You guys are right, I don't experience any women frustration b/c WS is so awesome. [laughing] K. Actually, if something is bothering us we just communicate about it so it doesn't boil up and we feel the need to yap about it. Pretty crazy concept.

-I'm not versed in politics but:

1. I'm sure there would be some rules keeping him from hosting a radio show daily and running for office.

2. He certainly wouldn't be able to "cover UK sports in the most ridiculous way possible" or he'd be apologizing for calling government employees DooDoo heads, adulteress, etc on a daily basis.

Meh, that's different than dudes not being able to drink, go to strip clubs, have bachelor parties, hang with the boys. You seem to have it pretty rough, tell me about it.

I'm blessed, she actually loves & looks forward to UK **** almost as much as I do these days thanks to my wonderful group of friends, but my wizzle has plenty of other quirks I have to deal with 9 touching 24/7.

She wouldn't be PUMPED if I told her we were going to strip clubs by any means, but I'd just tell her that's too bad, chill out -- and she'd get over it the next day. I made it clear from Day 1 what kind of stubborn person I am, what I like to do, and at my age those things wouldn't be changing much. Dudes that try and "hide" that stuff are touched from the beginning imo.

She still has her limits though -- By the end of March, we're both on LegalZoom.com for a few days researching pretty much every year

By most accounts, Anth is off the chart lucky with Sloot's "coolness/dudeness." However, this does come at a price. There is a high maintenance factor there that does offset some of these gains. Still, he's doing quite well.

Not "allowing" strip clubs on a bachelor party is a pretty huge red flag. He should probably call it off. I give them 5 years, tops.

It's pretty lame, but I disagree with that. The only other similar bachelor party I experienced happened like 10 years ago and they're still together.

I think some of you are overrating politics. This is the same profession where Al Franken, Jesse Ventura, and Arnold have been elected to office, Deez Nutz is surging up the polls, and Donald Trump is leading for the Republican nomination on a platform of "Mexicans are all rapists."

I'm sure he'd have to change his approach, but he could still own KSR and do a lot with it.

anth, it's actually covered in the bill of rights, bro. You're allowed to host a radio show and be an elected official.

I was kidding about calling it off and only being together five years, but it is most likely the tip of the iceberg. It's all a matter of how much of "it" your buddy will be willing to take.

Half of marriages end in divorce (higher for physicians)
Potentially lose half your net worth (maybe more)
Constant Henpeck.

What's the real upside here?

Just about all of my married buddies seem very happy and are with great girls. I don't think there's anything wrong with the life-long bachelor lifestyle. There is more than one way to live life.

Chad got me into Mules earlier this summer. Just a drink I never think about for some reason, despite being a ginger-head.

Kentucky Mule is a great drink, and a traditional Moscow Mule is perfect in the summer -- even got a few wodie little Moscow Mugs to make me feel extry cool when enjoying.

...finding Ginger Beer can prove to be a bit of a challenge, though.

Sucks that St. Matthews Liquor Barn closed.

-Anyone had the new Root Beer Beers that are suddenly all the rage? Doubt I could drink more than 1-2 like any other non-beer-beer, but sounds pretty delicious.
