Are you going? Are they marked down on your calendar as things you are attending?

Then Yes, they are planned. Learn plans.

Med school buddy and crew I never get to see or else it would be tough to make happen. Plus wedding is at Christ the King so it'll be an easy walk from where I'm staying/tailgating.

He's in residency out of state and wanted to have wedding in Lexington, so I'm guessing the long weekend made it feasible for him or only option. Either way, there will be no dampening of the spirits this weekend.

People have been doing that for years in the no parking pass required green space. It's usually students and recent grads. I thought there was a rule about when they could start saving space though and it seemed like it was on Thursday, but I could be mistaken.

Old rule was 12 PM on Friday. There'd be 100 plus cars circling Cooper/Sports Center area and at 12 PM on the nose the UK parking Nazis would let everyone slide in. Lot of fun navigating the tailgate van in that nonsense.

You can't set up on Cooper in the grassy non-lot 'til/till 12n on Fridays.

On our walk today, Clyde, G and I saw many tent frames set up in red, orange and blue along University. The strip of trees/grass in the blue lot is still behind the construction fence, but I think it will be open on Saturday.

The matching blue end cap thing on the other side of the suites/press box appears complete with the white UK logo on it.

They have hung some large, square banners on the 4 corners where the ramps are (to hide the dredges that smoke there?) They have the checkerboard in the background and a big UK. This appears to be in place of the vertical banners with players on them from previous seasons (though not in the exact same spot). Also, the green lot side had "Kentucky Wildcats" in the same style banner hung horizontally above the center of that side. I didn't take pics.

It was pretty hot out there today. Ended up going over 4 miles though, to extend G's nap. Didn't see Transy (that I know of).

Only a matter of time before UK contracts out tailgate spots and those spaces people are setting up in will be reserved and set up by a 3rd party company.

What does that run typically, at places like Bama and Ole Miss?

Early prediction: UK/UofL on November 28 will be an early game. Too many other good SEC games that day:

UF/FSU
USC/Clemson
Ole Miss/MSU
LSU/TAMU
Alabama/Auburn

Only thing that sucks about moving the game to that weekend.

Someone came through the green lot last year trying to market that. $300/game if I recall correctly. That's a bog old fat FALSE.

You can still get out early and set up your own on the some parts of the quad, but most of it is reserved now and a company called Gameday Tents has the university bid on it. We'll do one bigger game a year typically- and they have a few different set up options. A small tailgate tent, fold out chairs, and coolers runs you probably around $400 or so for marquee games, and probably 2/3 of that for other games.

We do a bigger tent for about 20 people, it includes everything for the day except alcohol- but if you take them your booze earlier they will stock it for you. We pay a little more to add a TV but i believe its around $1600. Split it among everyone and it doesnt hurt too bad. Its worth it there to not have to carry all of your stuff all over the place. They have options up to $3k+, and for bigger games it sells out well in advance.

A friend of my wifes started doing it in college, just charging people to set up their own stuff and break it down for them. Its turned in to a state-wide bid and a huge tent company. Once the university saw how much he was making they reserved all those spots and make sure they get there cut.

Wonder how many spots the Nutter Field could accommodate? They could turn that into a mini Grove on Saturdays in the Fall. UK could make a lot of money from that.

-be like the Greers and have your staff Mexicans set up a compound and break it down post game. Man, that was half the fun but it was a ton of work. The Auburn tailgate we all attended was setup by one of those companies. Great idea.

-Adrian is calling everyone "idiot" today. Don't be rude because you're sick.

-Goetta isn't terrible but it's WAY overrated. 1000 out of 1000 times I'm picking breakfast sausage. Firmly inferior product that is only relevant due to geographical loyalty.

-ky is a backwards *** state. This is nothing new.

Dated a Notre Dame (nky) girl through most of college, and one of the biggest fights we got into was over goetta. I liked it but didnt love it. Wasnt good enough for her.

Had similar arguments with my wife over a local taco place in Alabama.

Gives SAE more time to get out that way and kick the **** out of a few of them, possibly flick some ashes on their sleeping bags and such.

What's more insulting:

1. Spit on
2. Ashes flicked on
3. Smoke blown in face.

I'd go 1>3>2

My company had corporate spot at Bama on the quad. They supplied all chairs, tables, trash disposal, coolers, ice, and flat screen with cable. We catered food and supplied all drinks/alcohol. Cost us in the range of $25K-$30K for all home games per season.

Dumped that 2 seasons ago and now only do home SEC games. Bumped us from the quad, now north of the stadium in a field with about 1,000 other tents, not as big a tent, we supply everything and it cut our expense in half I think.

Dumb move. Could've easily traded it to Huber for a YETI.

Chad, Youre thinking about the 10 years ago HUBER. The 2015 version has 2 Red Lot passes and 7 Tickets.

It still amazes me how much I used to pay and how much people offer me for a place to park their car for a few hours. Was offered $200 for Saturday's game for the pass we weren't using but ended up giving it to one of my employees.

...who sold it for $200.

Im planning on stopping by and saying hi as they are hosting several of our employees at their tailgate. If they arent there Saturday then you were probably right. Guess we will see.

- I reported a student to campus police last week, he is an unstable kid and I caught him tweeting death threats to people. Only disciplinary action taken? He couldn't use social media on school grounds.

Before I came in today, he showed up obviously agitated and talking to himself on campus. Campus police called me in this afternoon, the student was asking "odd" questions about me, my hours, what I drive, etc.

Kind of unsettling. Oh, and campus police told me that he has been involuntarily committed before, so to keep my phone on me and call them if I see him because he was told to stay away from me. Thanks guys!

- The world's largest VAPE convention, Vape Mania, coming to Winston-Salem this weekend! Stoked, bruh.

- They have an arcade bar by my buddy's place in Wrigleyville, Toonz. Always a good time.

- Best bar game? Table shuffle board.

- Jesus, that chick who talked her boyfriend into suicide is one of the most disturbing things I have ever read.

Goetta sucks, but Goetta Hanky-Panky's sound pretty tasty.

They could have fourth "Perfect Picnic Partner" potential, imo.

With Petrino as coach, generally Louisville football has not been nearly as terrible as most around here predict each fall. So if you're one of the handful of posters who typically put more effort into hate following their program than pretty much anything else in life, take your projected win total for them and add 3 or 4 more wins to it. Also, take your UK v. UofL prediction and add 14 points to their total while subtracting 10 from ours. Make the new numbers your actual predictions and save yourselves some embarrassment. You know who you are.

Like when you chastised everyone who said the 2013 Louisville basketball team was really good, and you predicted a Sweet 16 for them?
