Just a shitshow horrible performance since the 1st. Not a bowl team playing like this. And the defense is putrid.

Well if we win it will be because they screwed up at the most precipitous times. I am so disappointed. We looked like a real team early.

Touchdown Kentucky! :)

I need someone that knows something about football to tell me this team is better than what the score indicates, because I'm having a difficult time separating what I just saw from last season's last 6 games.

Wouldn't you rather hear the usual lame excuses?

1- We got SEC caliber teams next and didn't want to show anything after we got the big lead.

2- ULL is a bowl team that didn't give up, give them credit.

Well, a win is a win for Kentucky football; but, that certainly did not inspire confidence going forward.

So if you're the "average fan" who is not entrusted with booze inside the friendly confines, other than not pissing in a trough, how was your game day experienced enhanced by the $126 million renovation?

Bathrooms were nice. No joke. Wall of Honor or whatever was cool and my kid likes the wall of players in the NFL.

Big ups to UC for selling large Donatos pizzas for 5 bucks during the weather delay when they herded a bunch of us into the shoemaker center. Boo for charging $7.50 for a can of Rhinegeist until I realized that the fact they sold cans meant people were just bringing in their own.

Watching the first half of the UK game. I don't like what our front seven is doing on defense and I assume it gets worse from here.

Also if UL is going to do stupid helmets they could do worse than copying these ULL helmets. Louisville guy loves them some fleur de lis don't they?

Trying not to panic. A lot usually changes between the first and second games. I also suspect that ULL will win 9 or 10 games again this year. They had a great offensive game plan.

BUT

We have some major issues on defense. Wasn't thrilled with the move to a 3-4 and I sure as **** wonder about it now. There are no playmakers on the d-line and LB is a problem again. Hopefully Flanagan and Fletcher can make a difference there. I think Westry will be a stud. Just a whole lot of youth there, and it'll hurt us for a while.

Also, Towles kinda **** the bed in the second half and it's concerning. We also need to be more consistent running the ball.

But other than that we looked good? Besides the defense and the QB and the running game?

The fact that we didn't/couldn't just line up and run the ball most of the second half is concerning

and the defense is putrid and that goes for schemes as well. Last year, with arguably the worst secondary ever at UK we would routinely put guys on islands and bring pressure. This year, with better (still subpar) secondary we are content to play soft zone and almost never bring the heat? Our angles on plays to the outside were miserable as well.

Just get to a damn bowl

I need to go back and watch it, but being at the game, Towles seemed to be the biggest issue. He just could not move the ball inside the 20. The play calling seemed good. Way better than Brown. Felt like the defense was on the field too long the 2H due to inept offense.

When we play the 3-4 we are putting too much on one NT especially with how thin we are at ILB. We will get gashed on cutbacks and draws inside this year if that isn't fixed. Honestly it seems like our roster may fit the 4-3 better right now.

-other than the obvious not keeping them focused up 23 is on the staff. Had a couple chances to step on the throat.

-Patty missed some wide open deep balls. If we're going to THROW IT DEEEEP!!! He's gotta hit those. No idea why we don't run the ball up 23. Hopefully not because we weren't getting any push.

-shew, D is going to lose a couple for us.

-yeah, like I said earlier. Unless you're in the clubs the upgrades are mostly cosmetic. Bathroom and wider concourses. Seat backs. Place looks dope though.

Thanks to all that showed up and helped. Appreciated.

Towles was atrocious in the second half. A lot of bad balls. The pick was especially bad. He was staring at Johnson the whole time. Didn't so much as glance at another receiver. Hope people are ready for "Towles vs. Barker" debates all GD year. They comin'.

Gotta try to hand the ball off to get the run game going. I love going vert but we went there a lot. Lot of young dudes out there playing. Gonna need them to grow up quick. OBC is going misdirectiona and flats all day on us.

Oh wow, temple beat psu. Yikes.

Towles locks onto guys worse than 2008 Mike Hartline. He is boom or bust, which is really not what this offense needs. We need a guy who can make the easy throws consistently.

Student section should have their allotment cut in half again. Pretty pitiful showing from them beginning to end

Enjoyed the look of the new stadium. Did not appreciate having all the mens rooms at the end of the damn concourse. I mean I'm stoked being on the 50 with TMFH, but when I had to pee I'm running to endzones...WTF???

Towles looked great in the first, then relapsed to last year.

Defense was not good. Did we even rush their qb?

Great time at the tailgates though, thanks as always to the schems.

Not looking forward to playing SEC teams.

Last year, with arguably the worst secondary ever at UK

Whoa. Let's not get crazy here. Last year's secondary was terrible, but this is Kentucky. We basically specialize in awful secondary play.

On the 3-4, we played quite a few guys last night. 22 different players had a tackle. That was to be expected on a hot September night.

Nine of the guys who made a tackle were playing in their first college game. We were also missing our most talented defensive player in Hatcher and (fingers crossed) our best middle linebacker in Flannigan.

In true masochistic UK football fan form, I am going to hold out hope that the run defense firms up once the rotation gets established and the young guys get a bit of experience under their belt.
