That's the whole point, PTI. Florida's way more talented than us. But they've been better in the past. And they're only going to get better in the future. Hence, we're never beating them.

Try to keep up, plz.

the myth that floridas team this year is no good is just that -- a myth. too many people just don't get that. they may not be good by their own high standards, but they've got nfl talent, high draft picks, and 5 star players all over the field. we don't.that's why they beat us. their backups are typically stronger/faster/taller/quicker than out starters. the talent disparity is shocking.

The reason they beat us is we couldn't throw/catch, score on 1st and goal at the 2, Swindle being Swindle and our staff looked overwhelmed. I would argue UF's offense is bad. Perhaps on paper they have a big advantage but that game was between two below average SEC teams.

our 3 and 4 star guys couldn't get open against their 1st round draft picks. our 3rd team all sec backs couldn't run the ball against their all americans. our top 25 drop back passer got outplayed by their #1 dual threat qb. and our lightly recruited lineman couldn't hold down the pass rush by their superstars.

got it.

We beat an LSU team that won the national championship with a team only slightly better than the one that took the field Saturday. Eventually we will beat Florida. It will never be an even series, but we will in fact win one game on a long enough time line. Probably even a handful over the next thirty or forty years.

no coincidence that was the most talented team of my lifetime, particularly at key positions.

that team had very few weaknesses, particularly by our standards.

That Florida team was the worst Florida "team" to come to Commonwealth since the streak started. And we still lost.

I disagree. We will lose to Florida every year until they stop football.

You could take the team from "Little Giants" and slap Florida unis on them, and they would beat UK. TS. Did we really beat them back in '86? Sounds like propaganda to me, honestly. That footage could be doctored like the moon landing footage.

From Wikipedia:

Following damage caused by Hurricane Elena in 1985, the University of Florida de-classified football to a club sport for the 1986 season. Varsity participation resumed in 1987 and continues to this day.

I read it correctly, just posted wrong. ^ What chief said.

No clue at this point why you'd think '07 was only "slightly better"

2007 finished the regular season 1-4 after LSU including getting crushed at Mississippi State. They weren't exactly 1995 Nebraska.

Right. Got it. I'll reference page 314 in February when everyone is jerking all over their keyboards over the recruiting rankings. Again.

You joke but 86 was the second year of their probation and they only had 75 on scholarship. They were definitely depleted.

Also, kinda over the giant "WHY NOT?" banner for football games. Kinda defeatist imo. It was fine for a year but time to go.

"CRAZIER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED", "SO YOU'RE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE", "THAT'LL DO, PIG", and "HEY CHECK OUT THAT BAMA/OLE MISS GAME GOING ON RIGHT NOW GANG!" didn't fit on a giant non-janky banner, I guess.

Not many worse people to deal with than your Susie homemaker turned Real Estate agent. We're through the last bit of handling items from the inspection and the seller had to track down our agent because their agent decided to stop taking calls last Friday. The f'ing entire deal is done, agreed upon and all this **** has to do is enter a few keystrokes.

***** better be dead.

No kidding...

Anybody that gets a chance to go should do so. That thing is ridiculous. Basically all of the bourbon you can drink.

They have an event at the Salato Wildlife Center in Frankfort every May/June that is similar without dressing up for it. $60 all you can drink and take home the glassware they give you. The girl from Chase's hometown who was Miss Kentucky last year plays fiddle in a pretty solid Bluegrass band that plays that event every year.

Impossible not to be trashed at those things.

Just looked our record against Florida prior to 1986 thinking it was somewhat respectable, technically it was because we owned them in the 50s, but the 20 times we played leading up to 1986 we only won 3 or 4 games. So it is completely within the realm of possibility that we never beat them again.
