So will Pitino skip ACC Media Day next Wednesday or not? What kind of fine would he be looking at for no-showing or sending some flunky assistant?
He doesn't show up for post game press conferences if he's cranky. He'll pull a "personal reasons" and send Ralph Willard in a hospital gown.

Pitino's lobbying against the Big 12 did not sit well at all with TOMMA, per my sources. Relationship has been really strained ever since.

He also got pissy over the Petrino re-hire. It's clear Jurich is a football first guy and that irritates Pitino.

When it comes to Pitino, at some point UofL is going to ask the NCAA what it's going to take to keep that banner up. The answer will include, (though not be limited to) Pitino's head. It's inevitable.

Doesn't surprise me. He was directly undermining Jurich.

I'm telling you - they are distancing themselves from Pitino. Even that quote today basically just said, "Rick has no plans to resign." Not exactly an overwhelming vote of confidence.

I don't feel bad for Pitino because this is probably something he didn't know about. He was a king-sized *******. It's like when they got Al Capone on tax evasion.

I do still think Shae has some difficult questions left to answer about why she just sat there and didn't do ****. F***ing Shae, man. Classic, lazy-assed Shae.

IF I were a UL fan; and IF I had the slightest shred of belief in HOFCRP (fortunately, neither of which apply), HOFCRP's freaking Drama Circus alone would be enough for me to wish him to GTFO.

Go find a job on a soap opera somewhere.

The coverage of this today has far exceeded expectations. The GMA thing was basically just a preview, but at least it was a national, non-sports outlet. SportsCenter though was absolutely incredible. A full 18 minute, uninterrupted segment to start the broadcast that was repeated every single hour. They even started running the new SportsCenters an hour early today just for this story. Then they had smaller segments with Goodman, Bilas and Seth Greenberg discussing it with Bob Ley. Not to mention the run its gotten on ESPN Radio. Le Batard had Powell on his show. Then they extend OTL from 30 minutes to 60 minutes and it did nothing but reinforce the earlier reporting. The cherry on top was the #LouisvilleEscort hashtag that ESPN created. Marvelous.

This whole focus of the discussion since this has began of "Did Pitino know?!?! I don't think he knew!!!" has been bullish from the beginning.

DOESNT MATTER if he knew or not, both are JUST AS BAD. Why the morons are fixated on deciding and debating that is beyond me. IMO he knew something was going on, kind of the same way Coach Bell knew in Blue Chips.

"Ah, geeze Trezzy, I don't know anything about whatever....arrangements...you made when agreeing to come here...go talk to Dir Ops McGee about all that."

Nor is the issue so narrow or so trivial that Athletic Director Tom Jurich can expect to insulate Pitino from the fallout. Jurich carries a lot of weight in this town, and deservedly so, but having stood by Pitino in the face of the Karen Sypher mess, having rehired Bobby Petrino in the wake of his ugly exit from Arkansas, having kept football assistant Clint Hurtt despite an NCAA show-cause penalty, he can no longer expect an unlimited length of rope.

Is she Smoketown or 7th St? Doesn't seem like a crack ***** to me.

Just telling CC that I really hope Pitino fights it, like he seems to be doing. That could be a nice little side story.

UK's main concern right now is making sure media knows to refer to Pitino as "disgraced former Louisville coach Rick Pitino...", not "former UK and UL coach..."

Of course the tattoo might help...

Smoketown apparently, Courier mentioned she lived on Shelby St when the story first broke a couple weeks ago.

In all seriousness, not only should Pitino be fired, but Jurich should be fired. He put himself on the line when he refused to fire Pitino after the first scandal. It paid off temporarily, but has now backfired monumentally. This is on Jurich and his way of doing business. He is the one who fostered that culture - hell he rewarded it.

4-5 YEARS of Hoe parties. You either knew about it, or you are incompetent. Should be fired either way.

How ridiculous is Pitino's "Not one coach, not one trainer, not one player knew about this. If they had known they would have told me". Rick, it was being orchestrated BY a coach FOR the players. So either you have zero control and oversight or they DID tell you. Liar or incompetent? Or both?

Can the NCAA pull texts and email records? Cause I guarantee you that McGee's emails and texts are going to uncover A LOT. Wasn't it an email to Jim Tressel telling him about the players/tatoos that did him in?

Meanwhile HOFCJVC is tweeting out pictures of his former UK players currently on sports magazine covers. Good to see both programs getting a lot of national attention today. Good for the state!
