- [laughing] How the hell did Ulis beat that pass?
Had to rewatch that one a few times as well. Allen bullied past him (by warding with his off hand) and it was like Ulis just thought to himself "Oh, he's past me... well, f*** it, I know where he's going with the ball any way, I'll just go there and be waiting for that *****'s pass when it arrives."

The dude sees 3-4 seconds into the future at all times. Sometimes more.

Last season was the worst lob throwing team I've ever seen. This team is perfect with them. I mean, it's hard to mess up a lob to Lee, but we sure did it last year.

This team looks made for the big TV games. Which means an inevitable loss in an SEC West gym.

Hartford coach thinks UofL should be top 15. I want to destroy them like a directional school this year.

Was rooting for Sparty. I want the gap between us and KU in wins to widen

[Briscoe] doesn't give a TOUCH about anything that's going on. If he plays bad, and he will, it won't be b/c he's nervous or scared.:boxing:

All three of our guards are stonecold motherf***ers. That much is obvious.

We won't be rattled and we won't be intimidated. We can be beat but those three are just awesome. And that's completely premature to say but I stand by it.

There was that one he missed that had he got a hold of would have been one of the GOAT. It's absurd to think he was only an inch or so off of having it too.

Briscoe has sneaky explosion.

That one move where he exploded on the baseline to a reverse left-handed layup was o_O ...he missed it, but his ability to lull the defender asleep & then explode was on full display.

Crazy how we dominated the paint...mainly with 3 point guards. DDM, folks :fire::fire::fire:

We've been conditioned by the last 3 years to expect dribble penetration to result in a wild throw at the rim and one of our guys on his *** in press row. Last night those guys got in the lane at will and made good decisions every time--took a good shot, made a nice pass, or dribbled back out and set it up again--and I was surprised damned near every time.

Love Lee's play. Has some Rodman in him.

/jurrymeyer

- Was pleased with AP's game, despite the struggles from the field and not finishing around the cup.

He was in the right places to finish plays, fought on the offensive glass and was contesting shots from the weakside. <----- that to me is a just fantastic sign. The lift/explosion will come. Cal is definitely on that *** 24/7 so he has no excuse not to take a night off.

- You faggots that are bringing up Wiscy/last year ----> GGP. We all (even Homer anth) knew WTF Andrew Harrison was about and how Cal was going down w/ that ship regardless. You had two years to effing prep for it. Move on and enjoy THIS team... as it has none of that **** to worry about.

- Grayson Allen - lulz. What a clown. Kiss that darkhorse lottery **** goodbye. Exposed, bruh.

- The weakside help/rebounding will get better as the season progress. There will be a lot of ppl attacking the rim throughout the year so marcus prepare for it. Repetition is only way Skal will start to understand when to contest and when to let guys go. If one guy goes all out for the block, it's crucial the other big rotate other and body the weakside guy. Noticed Lee AND Skal going for blocks at the same time, which is a huge no-no. That will get better in time, but as for now -- it's bad. Ain't worried about it, tho. Briscoe being such a stud on the glass for a guard will def help until that is shored up.

- Speaking of Briscoe, his defense was tremendous. He moves so well laterally out on an island, which surprised the hell out of me. I knew he'd be a bulldog down low but in space he covers so much ground out top he'll frustrate EVERYONE he guards. He pretty much destroyed Grayson Allen's pro career in one blink of an eye. (Didn't Ullis block a shot of his, too?)

The Champions Classic ALWAYS tells us something. In 2012 and 2015, it told us we were the easy favorite and frontrunner. In 2013 and 2014, it told us we had our work cut out for us. If last night was again an indication, we're one of the teams to beat this year.

Ha. Jones swiped your take nearly word for word on KSR.

Touch Kennard. Guy is the prototypical Dukie. Looks like he should be the head monitor of the computer lab, not a ball player.
Humphries is going to piss me off a few times this year, other than that, no complaints from me.

I wouldn't mind if they moved this event to later in the calendar though. More often than not, it would work to our advantage. Let's rename it the Champion's Holiday Classic and play this damned thing on December 23. Gets it in before the bowls really take over, but it's late enough in the season that the play would be better and it would be given more weight on Selection Sunday.

Uhh, Jones is giving me a hard on. If one of you recruiting basketballs knows something hit me up. I can't walk around the office with a boner like this again. I've got two strikes already.

im not much on hyperbole, but briscoes bucket to end the half was the best underhanded, below the knee, flip up scoop shot buzzer beater by a kentucky player since nazr at vandy in 98.

Why y'all always trying to push basketball back like we got a football team or something else to look forward to. I'd like to see these kids skip their SR year bc that's totally worthless and get them on campus gearing up for NCAA summer basketball circuit. That would be cool.

MEHHHH,THATS TOO MICH BASKETBALL. I CANT DEAL.

-Loved the game. Great performance, very impressed. Especially considering that Skal did nada. Didn't think we would be ready, but turns out Duke wasn't ready. Really think Coach K, who would never tarnish Duke's pristine academic image with 1andDone players, should have played Winslow and Okafor more, IMO.

-Just great guard play. Ulis, Ulis, Ulis. ULIS. As I said before - IF he can lead UK to a title, he could go down as the most popular UK player in modern history. My ONLY fear for him is that some team in the tourney does what WVA did to Trimble last year - essentially beat the **** out of him, somehow get away with it and knock him out of the game with a concussion. The Murray split and lob was a thing of beauty. He was to going to do something else awesome in the last 5 minute when he blew by Matt Jones. Then Jones hacks his bicep, no call. Unreal. Briscoe just a DAWG. Love it. Work on the FT's buddy.

-Was livid after the first 5 when it was 14 all and 12 of Duke's points were on offensive rebounds. Didn't helpt they let Plumlee basically be Donkey Kong out there. He was shoving and fouling left and right, no calls. But Skal gotta deal with that, he isn't going to get those calls.

-Grayson Allen is a little *****. Just a *****. His first 3pt shot, he does the leg kick and flops. Like a *****. Thankfully the refs didn't fall for his ****. Then the constant headsnapping. Hell, the fouls they did call for him were ********. The only contact he and Skal made was Grayson's forearm showing Skal in the chest. Seriously, touch Grayson Allen. Flopped, shoved off on everything. Really glad we shut that ***** down.

-Luke Kennard can get pumped too. Unless his mission is to take the Duke program down from the inside, he's a little ***** too.

-Sad that Willis didn't do more.

-Only Poythress - ONLY Pothress could get his GD teeth stuck in the net. Damn he is such an Urkel. Hilarious.

No ****. For a Kentucky Football fan, it's a beautiful thing when basketball comes along to save the day 9 out of 10 years.

Don't change a thing, I couldn't care less about "competing" with College Football, bowls, NFL, etc.

Has to be insinuating Monk is signing today right?
He just said "Wouldn't it be great if our recruiting class filled up today?" That's all I'm saying...

There's only one player Cal would give his last scholarship to. It's common knowledge Cal has been trying to get Monk to pull the trigger in the fall signing period. Wouldn't be surprised if the idea of playing with Bam, Fox, Gabriel, SKJ, and last night's show was enough to close the deal.
