How do you guys "trade films" now? Burn a DVD? Send a thumb drive and have it copied over?

[laughing] As a sophomore JV baller, I had to film the varsity games every now and again. Had forgotten about that. High school basketball was fun. Giving a **** about something like that was fun.

Obviously we need a decibel meter in Rupp so we can document what are actually the loudest moments.

A lot of sharing on websites. Apparently you can save the game footage on a "memory stick" (whatever the hell that is) and then upload them to a website. Hudl is video sharing. Krossover will break the video down for you.

My guess is there is flash-drive memory. Plug that flashdrive into a computer. Then burn to a DVD or upload to a website.

My previous team just recorded to hard-drive of the camera and then do the 1-touch DVD burn. But I didn't get to take that with me. Now the technology is too new for me.

I hate having to worry about this type of stuff. It's the last thing on my mind, until the game is over.

Just have one of the kids record it on their phone and then upload it to Facebook.

Sounds like all you have to do is get a decent camera and a large memory card. Record the game, put the card in the computer, upload it from the card to the website.

I know Drew wrote something about Lincoln Riley being in contention for the OC job here, but Stoops offered Dawson...I seem to remember Riley had already taken the Oklahoma job, not actually being passed over by us. I mean, that's pretty much a no brainer picking Oklahoma Football over UK.

- Of course Riley turned us down. Are there people that believe Stoops told him no?

- unless Memphis just completely ***** the bed I don't see any way Auburn wins that game.

"Because Riley was in contention for the Kentucky offensive coordinator position when Shannon Dawson was hired. In fact, there was a time when he was considered the front-runner for the job, before an offer was extended to Dawson.

Therefore, this year’s most outstanding assistant coach could’ve been calling the plays on the UK sideline instead of calling the plays for Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff.

That sinking feeling in your stomach is perfectly normal. "

You mean KSR doesn't understand nuance in sports? Hmm, really flies in the face of their usual fantastic write ups that demonstrate an intimate knowledge of the game

We hired Dawson on 12/17/14 and Oklahoma did not fire their OC until 1/4/15. I remember watching ECU vs UCF on a Thursday night to see Riley's offense.

Heh...Sears been closed for years and he still can't go in.

~You humps headed up to Brooklyn..reached out and got a couple extra recs for foodie joints around the Barclay's. He's a neighborhood guy, but it's fwiw. I'm sure Stinson has you mapped out, but if these aren't on your lists, a couple more options can't hurt:

That whole area has changed a lot over the last few years with tons of yuppie types lol..Artichoke Basille & Two Boots are two good pizza spots around Barclay's. Blue Ribbon restaurant is a great spot but not a pizza joint. Also, Park Slope Ale House on 6th Ave is a good spot for a beer.

Keep in mind that Riley's name has been hot the 2-3 years previously. Since his days at Tech with Leach really.

I think the most likely scenario is that his agent told him to hold off and let's see what opens up, whether it be a small school head job or other OC positions. Stoops had to move on and did.

Turn the thing into a club sport. Serve booze throughout. Play some decent tunes on the loudspeaker. Maybe have a pie eating contest between Mary Joe Perino & Lorenzen that Ryan Lemond emcees to spice up the entertainment value. Tix on the cheap. Almost like a minor league baseball atmosphere.

Place would be a real hoot & we'd never walk out too disappointed.

Maybe put some simulcasting up on the big boards for everyone who couldn't make it over to Keeneland.

I don't know why that's such a big deal. The alternative is this game is on WKYT at 11:35 tonight. Give me the live, national broadcast with announcers in a studio all/air over a delayed or even live local broadcast. Millions more people get the chance to see this game thanks to ESPN.
