Easy to hate on the staff right now but gotta give props for the hires, especially considering the current state of the program. We all said they needed some experience on the sidelines. Pulling Gran(top 10 offense) and Hinshaw(top 10 recruiter) was solid. No clue why they would come here.

The concrete patio I am installing this spring with my season ticket money is pretty encouraged, also.
Interesting to move Scott away from the RB's since they were the one unit that wasnt a complete cluster.

Watched the replay last night.
We can dissect this thing in several different ways but the main thing that jumped out to me was how loose the team was playing & how much fun the players were having. Ulis, Poythress and Hawkins were out there just making plays as if it were a pickup game.
How many times in the past have seen Hawkins be left wide open for a 3 on the wing, he gets the pass, and hesitates/pump fakes/ only to finally shoot it & miss badly? On Saturday he let it fly as soon as he got the pass.
Poythress quit thinking for a game and relied on instinct. Dude was high fiving teammates, talking and smiling. The stare down and head shake at our bench after he blocked MATZ's shot got me 3 feet out of my seat.
Ulis pulling up from the K when they cut it to 1 late..Nails. Gooseneck form. He was back peddling because he knew it was going in. Some of those drives where he single handily broke UL's press and made the reverse layups off the glass... Man, what a performance.

Fun trick when playing alone: milk the clock, avoid the defense, and use the entire quarter to score in one play, as time runs out. Perfect game ends 14-14.

Agree Rich, Poythress was almost "weird" for him.
Attacking the basket like his role is to score, staring folks down, etc. He's had bigger points/rebounds totals, and some great stretches (NCAAT), but start-to-finish that was one of his best games in 4 years in my opinion, didn't seem like him -- they flat could not stop him.

Hopefully by next Christmas TheShowkiller will post about his indoor trampoline that he bought for his kids...which ended up being, to his surprise, about 1/3 the size of a real backyard one, and of similar construction, that takes up half of his living room. [laughing]

Pretty much sums it up. My wife bought it online and I started putting the damn thing together Xmas eve eve with the idea of hiding it in our storage shed out back, saving time the next night. Wrong! Thing was massive, too big to wheel out the door. So to save face we told the 9 year old it was a present from mom and dad.

I can't remember the actual age, but do remember that it seemed both sides played along for many years before it was every really discussed, despite us all knowing it was a farce at some point. We thought if we ruined the fact that we "knew" it may end the extry special 'Santa' gift(s) that came every year...it was a calculated decision.
IIrc, our dirt bikes were the grand finale from 'pretend' Santa before the game was up, and it was far and away the best Christmas of all time.

No way, BBdK loves the kids. I got Santa gifts all the way up through HS to 'protect' my siblings. :smiley:

I am the middle of 5 boys, Adrian. Whether we liked it or not Santa lasted until about age 5 when you were big enough to fit into whatever came in sets of 3 from Marshalls, JC Penney, TJ Maxx, etc. Utility reigned supreme, limiting how much stock you could put into the Santa fallacy.
I could see bbdk believing in Santa until about 13, then when he finally found out, going around and telling all his peers about his amazing discovery, only to have them rollseyes.
Whats weird is that kids will decide certain gift givers are fake well before others. I was onto the Easter Bunny ******** early. Santa took a while longer. But the Tooth Fairy? I was a believer in that ***** for a LONG TIME. Should have been the easiest one to sniff out, but I lost a tooth on vacation during the night, then checked under my pillow and there was a quarter already there (my tooth fairy was a cheapskate). NO WAY MOM AND DAD EVEN KNEW ABOUT THE TOOTH! THE TOOTH FAIRY IS REAL!
Expect that I had woken up and told them then went back to bed and forgotten or something silly. Kids are dumb.

My dad left $1, an Apple & a Toothbrush by my pillow for the tooth fairy, so I was wayyyyyyyy ahead of the game on that ********. I KNEW a little fairy couldn't carry all that.

of all the kids i know who went to overpriced private schools, along with the rest of their 4 siblings, were raised by an attorney, lived in an upper middle class neighborhood, graduated from college, have a six figure career, and sport venerable designer clothing, sae is without question the most blue collar. cut him open and he bleeds middle class.
