- Arguably the best Bengals season in 25 years and it will probably end with a 4-5 record in their last nine and a home loss to the Steelers. No confidence whatsoever here.

- With that said, :100points: on that Saturday night kickoff. Of course, the Cats have a weird 6pm tip at Bama. Would much prefer an earlier game but whatever.

- I'm a snow guy much more so than a cold guy. If it's not snowing, I'd prefer a mild winter.

- I still like my team. Obviously we're a work in progress and will drop a few more, but nobody has the talent we do in the backcourt and few teams have the athleticism we do in the frontcourt. Once Murray gets on the same page with Ulis, nobody's going to want a piece of us.

I need to watch ESPN more, just discovered Cari Champion, :fire:

She was on First Take with Stephen A and Bayless before getting the new gig.

The team is really making strides, Murray's defense and rebounding and overall hustle was much better. Still took a few head scratching shots, but he is a scorer his mentality is he can make them all. AP let Cal get in his head late in the 1st half, he got called for a very questionable call, Cal lite his *** up, Alex tried to tell him "I didn't foul", Cal was not having it. Screwed him up the rest of the way, he had 7 rebounds in the 1st 15 minutes. Be mentally tougher AP, just play.

We got to see why Dom and Derek Willis do not have Cal's confidence, just can not rely on the effort 100 of the time, it is ok to make mistakes if the effort is there, but with those two, I didn't like the intensity they brought, really disappointed after Dom's Louisville performance.

2016 CFB playoffs will be on a Saturday, 2017 a Sunday, 2018 back on Jan 1

so the wailing about the ratings debacle will be on hold for 4 years

still LOL at Cal screaming into Murray's ear *SHOOT THE BALLLLLL* only 5 ft away with a 25+ pt lead

Through 3 Seasons of Downton Abbey, lolz -- what a weirdly excellent show. Still can't figure out exactly what makes it so good...

Nice call, Brooks.

- this is the worst work day of the year, imo. Kids were practically crying when they went to bed last night. 2 weeks of movies, video games (seriously- Star Wars Battlefront is awesome), lazy nothing, all over for them. 4 days of the same done for me. Happy New Year's indeed.

- took the kids to the brewery near my house Saturday and played Monopoly/drank beer/ate TomChee for a few hours on Saturday. Fun times, and now the kids want to go back and play it more. Monopoly is awesome.

- have NO confidence in the Bengals on Saturday. None. And I don't know anyone around here who has any confidence in them either. Seriously though, this must be what UL fan feels like in basketball when they play UK (if they're being honest with themselves). Sucks- one game away from a bye and home field advantage throughout, now a likely one and done for the 5th year in a row. The NFL is a fickle *****.

Best part of the game was Cal losing his **** on Briscoe, zay walking over smoothly and putting his hand on Cal's shoulder and I assume saying something like "calm down Coach" and then patting Cal on the ***.

Probably Cal's most unique group of personalities.

RE: Downton Abbey- I openly root for terrible things to happen to Mary and Mr. and Mrs. Bates. Hope they all wind up hung from the gallows in the season finale. And Edith watches it happen with a smug look on her face.

* I thought I was recharged until I got in this morning. Shew wee.

* Anxious to see the NBA version of LSU tomorrow night. You know it will happen.

* I was very happy with the defense and effort our last 2 games. If we keep playing hard, we'll be right in the mix in March/April.

* Had a wedding on NYE. The girl wcc railed at my wedding was one of the bridesmaids. Ceremomy at St. Rose and reception at Kenwood Country Club. Both very nice places I had never been to before.

* I guess I'm a full blown coffee drinker now. Got a Keurig and an R2D2 mug/thermos from Santa.

* Zero confidence in the Bengals this weekend, but the Steelers' D is pretty awful, so who knows.

* After the UL game, my buddy asked me where I wanted to eat. I told him to make the call. We went to Cowboys. In the afternoon. Awful.

The most pathetic display of old, worn out, out of shape naked females since Calendar Girls. I felt sorry for everyone there, including myself.

* Speaking of old and out of shape, I'm almost ready for my "before" picture.

* Do black players only hug other black players when going thru the handshake lines after the games? That's racist.

* I love our little role player. L-O-V-E.

* I'm only going to 4 more games before the SEC Tourney. 3 Tuesdays and a Saturday. I hate making the weeknight trips these days.

Is the whole crew going to Nashville this year (I'm looking at you, wcc)?

* Let's be the best version of ourselves in 2016, GYERO. [cheers]

I actually worked a ton over the holidays, but it seems like I haven't been at work in weeks. Hard to believe it's already Jan. 4th.

Does Magic Johnson really have AIDS?

Tyler Ulis might be the greatest role player ever at UK. Kid is a stud. Should he go pro after this season? Can't imagine his stock being any higher, and we have ridiculous guards coming in.

The Sagarin Ratings, and KenPom for that matter, can get pumped.

Jack Fry's for the wife's birthday celebration. Fun times. Good pork chop. Hard to beat the vibe of that place on a packed night.

Played basketball (and first thing physical in MONTHS) last night. Ummm yeah. That pretty much sucked. Felt like fat Antoine Walker out there.

They looked good on Saturday night. Had no problem beating Vandy in Nashville. Surprised at their defensive intensity. Vandy could not deal with their length and athleticism. LSU looked much more like you would have expected them to look all along. Of course, the gym was about 60% full and you could hear polite conversations from the stands during dead balls, so it was nothing like the atmosphere we're used to at Vandy.

nothing screams "food city" quite like buffalo.

my work schedule is weird. the 4th quarter is slammed, so i don't really have a chance to enjoy the holidays. then after the new year, it's 2-3 weeks of cleaning up messes from before 1/1. fighting fires, in modern office parlance.

stubhub. lol. cheapest tickets to uk-lsu tomorrow are $118. mid court lowers are $950. lol.

tyler ulis.

si had a lengthy article today about the ratings debacle, but the future schedule projects to be a little better. it wasn't just the nye scheduling, but nye falling on a workday, with 1/2 (a saturday) being wide open. awful "luck," if you will. but they're still stupid idiots.

Speaking of being in danger of missing the Tourney....Vandy better get its **** together. They're 8-5.

Guessing Kornet can't get back soon enough -- but still no excuse for how they've played.

Vandy is weird. A few of those head scratchers came with Kornet still playing. No good wins. That should be a top 20 team.

-Can't let Hornsby get hot tomorrow. Rotate fresh legs on that dude. Wear his *** out.

The College Semifinals need to be on New Year's Day, not New Year's Eve. Sorry Rose Bowl. Get pumped.

Could actually still play the Rose and semis on NYD, but the Sugar also insisted on being on NYD. As far as I'm concerned, both can get pumped.

Good thing Mags is authoring his own blog, some of those writers on there, good night. Not sure what a bobby reagan is but he is reaching BTI territory.

Anyone tried National Provisions what does their oyster line up look like?

January/Feb are my most grueling work months, toss in weekly UK basketball redass, terrible weather/darkness/ heavy drinking and I am most likely to kill over in Jan/Feb. Life, enjoy the ride!

Who is it each year that does not drink in January? Great concept, makes sense hope to get there one day. Not happening with my travel schedule in my twenties.

Meant to call PTI(pti) out on that take. Even if he had to spend $100 on a ticket, he gets 1 game per year in his area and this is a chance to see us play the best player in the country. Go to the f*cking game, loser.

Also, if you can get them on Stubhub for $100 you can get a scalper for $50-75.

I really hope the Steelers beat the Bengals, it would be glorious. But even if not, I got to enjoy the teeth-gnashing of the Bengals fans worrying about the possibility of the 3/6 matchup, and then it coming to fruition...and now a week of impending doom and gloom about the Steelers crushing their hopes and dreams once again. My New Year typically starts after Derby. From that point until football is usually dominated by work. Typically my diet/working out is at it's best.

This time of year, mid basketball season, cold, short days. Absolute worst time to clean up the diet, slow down boozing and go work out more because you have every reason to do the exact opposite.

which was the entire point of my f*cking post, loser. to call out the ridiculousness of stubhub.
Stubhub is awesome. Extra $20-30 to not deal with scalpers, the chance of fake tickets and total peace of mind.

Stubhub refunded us for the ATL tornado game. Customer for life after that.

Can't wait for you excuse.

I bet it just warms your balls right up considering your connection to Pittsburgh.

F off.
