Kansas #1 AP, OU #1 Coaches.

Should be a helluva matchup tonight...OU is getting 7.5.

it's the background of the argument. something about disputes over land, cattle grazing, and then intentionally setting hundreds of acres of government land on fire?

the entire story is just bizarre.

The original ranchers got a pretty raw deal. They apparently set some controlled burns for various reasons (control invasive plants and contain wildfires) that made their way onto government lands. This allowed them to be prosecuted as terrorists because they committed arson against the federal government. The judge was old, retiring and gave zero fuchs so he did not give them the mandatory minimum five year sentences, but instead just three months for one and nine for the other. This pissed the BLM off so they had the prosecutor appeal.

I really do think the feds **** all over the original ranchers in every way possible to force them off their lands so they could use it as part of their wildlife refuge. However, the extreme fringe has seized on this cause and decided to fight the guvment holed up in this random building. The Bundys are basically the right's answer to Al Sharpton and other professional protesters who want to make it all about themselves.

And the whole "why hasn't the national guard been called in" is the dumbest GD argument ever. This building is literally fifty miles from anything remotely approaching civilization. The nutjobs are no threat to the general public in any way. Plus there's only like 15 people there, not the 150 that has been floated on the internet.

Pretty much. This is a pretty decent read on it. Sounds like the ranchers got a raw deal thanks to the mandatory minimum, but otoh doesn't excuse the fire they set opposite the BLM fire fighters.

Heading your way with a box of pumps.

Max,

I've sent Anthony numerous gifts, several this past year alone...and he's never acknowledged any of them, much less said thank you. Pretty ungrateful, IMO.

I just don't want you to get your hopes up.

Never expected anything in return, just thought of something that I thought they could use. Learn friendship.

A book on "How to Be cool" -obviously he needed that.

A coonskin cap, to celebrate his mountaineering experience.

A delightful outfit for George that states, "I'm on a Boat"-pretty self explanantory.

Also the DVD of "Patton" since Anth had no understanding of tank battle tactics.

Some CBB Quicks:

- Hate to admit it, but I love Donovan Mitchell's game.

- So, I'm guessing Simmons/Ingram have kind of separated themselves at this point for 1/2 in the draft.

- Cats with 4 of the next 5 on the road. Should tell us a lot about the team. Hoping for 4-1.

- Kansas by 10 tonight.

- Who's the second best team in the SEC? A&M? SC? What a **** conference again.

- If UNC is going to win it, they have to get better on D. They're hanging around #60 on KenPom's adjD.

- Speaking of which, Brice Johnson's a douche. Hate that dude.

- ALL-AMERICANS?

Pretty cut-and-dried for January 4.

Pretty happy with the gym today, typically NO ONE else in there. Today there were 5 other people. They're on notice. If we don't have the country club style Milestone, gimme a nice, big, clean, empty gym

Dude made 19-25 FT.

Is that supposed to make it less impressive? Seems like the only way they could (attempt) to stop him. He was 10-15 from the field.

He scored 32 points in the 2nd half in a game that they had to rally late to win.

No, just thought it was an interesting tidbit.

I think more people would actually stick with the gym if they actually had any idea what to do or had some sort of real plan. Most people have no clue and won't ask for help. Wife and I were there yesterday and watched a very obvious resolutions couple walking in. I told her before we ever got out of the truck that the guy would do bench and curls. Sure enough. Dude pushing 400 pounds- 1 set of flat bench, 1 set of lat pull down, 1 set of bicep curls. No weight re-wracked. Done. That was the extent of his anaerobic workout. If that guy actually had some sort of plan or program, he might see promising results that encourage him to remain active.

Late, but it never ceases to amaze me when UK football fan can't/won't empathize with Bengals fans. I mean, if there's any other fan base that should get it...

Coolcat - you were supposed to take your shirt off and walk over to the guy and start asking him hella questions about his personal life. What he eats, what his goals are, average net salary, why he is fat, etc. then you show him some exercises that will work for him and encourage him to never give up and that proper form is key

Another perk of the home gym, lack of interaction with random weirdos.

And I have way better showers.

i was wondering which gym tough guy would be the first to get all territorial and pissy over "his" gym in the new year. congrats, anth. did you drop a "bro, DO YOU EVEN LIFT" in his face? it's your gym, broski. tell those dudes to get pumped. figuratively, but not literally.

most people don't stick to a workout plan because they don't enjoy it, imo.

guess i understand the oregon deal a little better now. it was the land rights mumbo jumbo that was most unusual, particularly for a non rancher. ive owned several pieces of real estate before, and it's always been pretty easy to determine what does and does not belong to me.

Rolleyes at "THIS IS OUR GYM" guy. You are no more entitled to the gym than any other paying member, anth & coolcat. In fact, the hierarchy you thought existed at the monthly membership facility is actually a pretty strange illusion of yours. You may want to take some time off, actually.
