-Order CFA, take the pickles off and eat separate. I like pickles but not on sandwiches.

-Anything fried and dipped in ranch is pretty good.

-I like quinoa and other healthy foods but not when they're disguised as comfort foods. Just give it to me straight. One of our biggest marital arguments came when sloot told me we were having homemade mac n cheese and delivered quinoa and cheese. Talk about all time kick in the dick. You don't false advertise something like that. You say mac n cheese, it better be white pasta covered in every cheese available.

Rack x 10000.

"Hey, we're having Roast Chicken, sprouts, and a little healthy-ish cheesy quinoa recipe I saw that looked really good" = Sweet, sounds good.

"Hey, we're having Roast chicken, sprouts, and MAC N CHEESE, YOUR FAVORITE!!!! " (brings yellow quinoa to table an hour later) = :chairshot::uzi:

Same exact meal, 2 entirely different experiences.

...while we're on Mac. Pope sends me pics last night of his "Organic Gluten Free Mac & Cheese with Grippos Topping/Crust" that he was taking to a dinner party.

1st = Dinner party pasta shouldn't be Gluten Free. If you're topping it w/ a bag of chips, what's the point?
2nd = While I'm sure it tasted fine, leave Mac N Cheese alone. No "crust" needed, especially crumbled up BBQ Chips.

I don't mess with classics.

When i met my wife she ate 2-3 foods total. Chicken, some type of salad, and green beans. And we were happy then. Made it work. Can i make quinoa work? It remains to be seen.

Per 24/7 Landon Young now a ***** and jumps to #12 OVERALL ranked player in the country [cheers]

Of course EVERYONE has raved about his week at the AA game/practice, yet Rivals Rec. guru Mike Farrell has been poking holes in his game all week.

Obviously he isn't getting the same upgrade here at this **** hole.

lol at Chad posting a clearly staged pic of his HAND CRAFTED Old Fashioned that he "created" last night.

Dude is changing, and it's really funny.

Yes, I believe every drink I've ever poured myself can be considered "hand-crafted." I sure didn't use my dinger to make it, dummy.

while we all blow things out of proportion, and richies food/drink takes are no exception, ive got a snobby craft beer/whiskey bar i go to on occasion (the avenue pub) that behaves exactly how he describes it.

it's a fight every single time for my simpleton *** to buy a beer.

hmmmm....lemme try this cocksteiner ipa oatmeal milkstout.

uhhh you sure?

yeah, what the hell. let's do it.

what do you normally drink?

light beer, but im gonna give this one a shot.

you may like the poppycock autumn wheat ale better.

nah, it's cool.

you sure?

yeah, bro. ill take that other one.

it's really not light at all. that's why i asked.

just trying something different. let's go crazy here. pour it up.

you're probably not going to like it.

dude. let's just roll with the punches here.

ill tell you what. ill give you a sample and let's see how you like it.

** pours sample **

it's all good. that works. im fine. let's do it.

i can let you try the poppycock too, just to be sure.

Some of you must look like/act like chumps, b/c I've never had that happen over hundreds (maybe thousands) of opportunities when eating/drinking out.

Never. I've had bad service & bad attitudes, (still, very rare) but never an issue actually ordering my preferred drink or food. #blessed

Yet it happens to Richie pretty much every week. Am I the only one who finds that bizarre?

My idiot best buddy and his wife are the worst about this. Go to a hipster bar with them and they have to have a half hour convo with the 'tender about which beer they should get. Meanwhile, I'm stewing waiting to buy a beer. Enrages me.

^ if you initiate the conversation, that's completely different. Those guys worship talking about their "passion" for sure, no different than anyone else in that regard though, really.

<-------- love to chat up the bartender.

[laughing] at pti.

Along those same lines, I truly loathe the sample plank or whatever that nonsense is.

Yea, just give me two sips of all 8 craft beers served on that wood thing. $22? Very cool. I'll surely hate 5 of them and they'll all be piss warm by the time I'm sampling #4, right? This place is awesome.

bartenders hate the sampler planks too. too much time to make them.

not sure who's behind "big plank". back in the day the plank was a whimsical way to deliver shots in a group. at least that's how we'd use it when we went out to dinner with my grandfather.

Wodie.... It all stems from my burning hate for Garage Bar & the the fact I have had multiple bad experiences there. Also like to point out that a ton of this trendy nonsense has been around for ages, including well made cocktails. PROHIBITION ERA HAND MADE cocktails are nothing new.

Ironically enough, Hammerhead's is one of my absolute favorites in town and I prefer to eat at the bar. Love chatting with whomever is tending bar & you can better soak in the atmosphere while eating at the bar.

Hammerheads is literally the definition of food "melting in your mouth". Also your clothes as you leave are literally the definition of a bonfire smoke stack.

Got to hit the washer right away or that linger is there for weeks.

I love hipster bars and restaurants. I love gentrification. Plus, they're fun to poke fun at and I think women look dope in flannel.

.

Which pizza places that have been around forever are you able to get a great Old Fashioned? Must have missed them.

Garage Bar has great pizza, awesome ham, and one of the better bars in town. You try too hard & are extremely hypocritical.

Hammerheads is 100000000x more hipsterish/snobbish/rude than Garage Bar could ever dream of being, plus it's a miserable & cramped space. Most overrated place in town. :100points:

Love everything about Hammerhead's. The dungeon like atmosphere. Hipsters, yuppies, whatever all crammed in that space. Always some random 80's tunes on. Food is unreal. Dream about their ribs & duck sliders.

To be fair, you dress like a normal dude. It is very possible the hipster bartenders see Richie's waspy get-up and give him shade.

well, in my defense, i usually go in totally cold.

i imagine that if i took the time to do a little research, study the menu, review the sous chefs educational background, cross check his food preparation references, and investigate the organic quality of their mixer ingredients, id probably come across as significantly more prepared to imbibe.

can i help you?

yeah, bro. ill take the dunkelweiner brown gravybacon semi port lager. i know this family of craft beverages well. hops are imported from a small village in bavaria. the farm owner lost his arm years ago in a combine incident. the barley driven in by solar powered moped weekly from colorado. it has a full, rich body. poured at a perfect 37 degrees, the head allows for a rich aroma with each sip. a slight aftertaste of chia hints of the brewery's authentic belgian roots, with a slightly modernized twist.

i did. down my leg.

Very possible, Chad. Makes sense, actually.

-Lol, u act like Garage Bar makes the oysters. Their Bluepoints come in the same box/plane as everyone else's. You may prefer a different region, they typically offer 4 at a time.

I don't eat Oysters in Louisville b/c they are so damn expensive. Makes little since given Blue Fin/UPS.

Am kinda pumped though about Varanese's new Raw Bar down on the river...sounds like he plans to be normally priced -- he'll be the first around here.

"Was in town visiting friends and really enjoyed my time in Louisville. However, this night we went out and I got to pick- and I really wanted oysters. I was disappointed to say the least. This was nothing like the fresh oysters I'm used to back in South Bend, Washington. As such, a place called Garage Bar only gets 2 stars."

Maggard can certainly dial it back a tad. His review reads like a police report.

Dude must be a transformer from reading Freddie's take.

1. Optimal OT measurables (6’7 308); elite arm length and preferred height.

2. Understands leverage; uses defender’s momentum to finish block. Powerful with initial strike to influence defender direction. High Football IQ.

3. Natural and violent arm extension with heavy hands. Comfortable and effective blocking in space or within line of scrimmage.

4. Agile, light footed athlete with powerful core and lower body strength. For 6’7, low center of gravity and excellent balance.

5. Seeks/welcomes collision. Nasty by nature, finishes blocks with athletic ability to pull from OT across line of scrimmage to kick out edge defender.
