BLUECOLLAR ALERT: I enjoyed two white castle burgers, small fry, and a Big Red on the way in this morning.
-I like quinoa and other healthy foods but not when they're disguised as comfort foods. Just give it to me straight. One of our biggest marital arguments came when sloot told me we were having homemade mac n cheese and delivered quinoa and cheese. Talk about all time kick in the dick. You don't false advertise something like that. You say mac n cheese, it better be white pasta covered in every cheese available.
Rack x 10000.
"Hey, we're having Roast Chicken, sprouts, and a little healthy-ish cheesy quinoa recipe I saw that looked really good" = Sweet, sounds good.
"Hey, we're having Roast chicken, sprouts, and MAC N CHEESE, YOUR FAVORITE!!!! " (brings yellow quinoa to table an hour later) = :chairshot::uzi:
Same exact meal, 2 entirely different experiences.
...while we're on Mac. Pope sends me pics last night of his "Organic Gluten Free Mac & Cheese with Grippos Topping/Crust"
1st = Dinner party pasta shouldn't be Gluten Free. If you're topping it w/ a bag of chips, what's the point?
2nd = While I'm sure it tasted fine, leave Mac N Cheese alone. No "crust" needed, especially crumbled up BBQ Chips.
I don't mess with classics.
lol at Chad posting a clearly staged pic of his HAND CRAFTED Old Fashioned that he "created" last night.
Dude is changing, and it's really funny.
Per 24/7 Landon Young now a ***** and jumps to #12 OVERALL ranked player in the country [cheers]
Of course EVERYONE has raved about his week at the AA game/practice, yet Rivals Rec. guru Mike Farrell has been poking holes in his game all week.
Obviously he isn't getting the same upgrade here at this **** hole.
while we all blow things out of proportion, and richies food/drink takes are no exception, ive got a snobby craft beer/whiskey bar i go to on occasion (the avenue pub) that behaves exactly how he describes it.
it's a fight every single time for my simpleton *** to buy a beer.
hmmmm....lemme try this cocksteiner ipa oatmeal milkstout.
uhhh you sure?
yeah, what the hell. let's do it.
what do you normally drink?
light beer, but im gonna give this one a shot.
you may like the poppycock autumn wheat ale better.
nah, it's cool.
you sure?
yeah, bro. ill take that other one.
it's really not light at all. that's why i asked.
just trying something different. let's go crazy here. pour it up.
you're probably not going to like it.
dude. let's just roll with the punches here.
ill tell you what. ill give you a sample and let's see how you like it.
** pours sample **
it's all good. that works. im fine. let's do it.
i can let you try the poppycock too, just to be sure.
tell you what. just give me the poppycock.
great man. awesome choice. i think you'll really like it.
(bartender retires to kitchen and throws up an inward facing tiger woods style fist pump)
[eyeroll]
Wodie.... It all stems from my burning hate for Garage Bar & the the fact I have had multiple bad experiences there. Also like to point out that a ton of this trendy nonsense has been around for ages, including well made cocktails. PROHIBITION ERA HAND MADE cocktails are nothing new.
.
Which pizza places that have been around forever are you able to get a great Old Fashioned? Must have missed them.
Garage Bar has great pizza, awesome ham, and one of the better bars in town. You try too hard & are extremely hypocritical.
Hammerheads is 100000000x more hipsterish/snobbish/rude than Garage Bar could ever dream of being. :100points:
Some of you must look like/act like chumps, b/c I've never had that happen over hundreds (maybe thousands) of opportunities when eating/drinking out.
Never. I've had bad service & bad attitudes, (still, very rare) but never an issue actually ordering my preferred drink or food. #blessed
Yet it happens to Richie pretty much every week. Am I the only one who finds that bizarre?
