Lexington Rules For Snow Driving -

(1) Drive either 10 MPH faster or slower than you should.

(2) If you feel yourself sliding, slam on your breaks as hard as possible and don't stop until you hit something.

(3) When stopped at a traffic light, floor it when the light turns green so you can make doubly sure you don't go anywhere.

Most people also contend they don't suck at driving in the snow compared to other locations, it's just that the state/city/county doesn't prepare like other places or they aren't used to it; even though it snows every year.

Spokane snow plows barely put the blade down (if they even run, usually takes at least 4 inches lol), only dump a little bit of sand, and most people don't use snow tires or chains yet everyone managed to survive twice the amount of snow Lexington usually gets.

Tennessee is awful at everything so it should come as no shock that driving in minimal weather is quite a chore for all of these people.

Pretty much no matter where you are in this country when the unholy hell snow storm arrives someone will say "Such and such state or city" is terrible at driving.

Because there are idiots everywhere.

I drive in and out of work either on Nicholasville, Tates Creek or Richmond Rd. depending on traffic, weather, and if UK is in session or not and with out a doubt the drivers in the Tates Creek/High Street area are the worst.

Not only is Wellington NEVER cleared until well after snowstorms, the bastards always send you a nice reminder email that it is your city duty to clear your sidewalk of snow and ice.

So, the Heavy Hitter is suing everyone and their mother over his accident where the dude in the car hit him while he was riding his bike. The facts are clear - the driver was at fault, and Isaacs had significant injuries.

He is suing the insurance companies - the driver's for bodily injury, and his own for underinsured motorists I presume. He is claiming bad faith in their handling of the claim. Sorry, but I have to call BS, without even knowing how they handled it. Everyone knows who this guy is, and there is no way an insurance company is going to try to screw him over, for this very reason. Any potential savings would be more than lost in defending some stupid lawsuit like this.

Second, he is suing his agent and the agency they work for, claiming they didn't procure him the coverages he needed. Once again, BS. This guy has made a living off of knowing about insurance policies and limits. There is NO WAY he would buy a policy without high limits or not buy an umbrella over it. And there is NO WAY the agent/agency would sell him any sort of low limit based on who he is and the assets he has to protect.

As fate would have it Wellington is also the name of the 6th class city where I (and crankdatmustard) live. The facebook page has become a nice place for its residents to *****, and it's usually hilarious.

I know alot of you are well traveled when it comes to UK basketball. So, i was wondering how many states have you seen a UK basketball game in person? I will be at the bottom of the list, but for me, its 4.

That is a very good question, I've never thought to count them up. 18.

I am shocked -- SHOCKED -- that a guy who has made a fortune shaking down insurance companies in personal injury lawsuits would then himself sue everybody under the sun when he becomes the victim of an injury accident.

Just so you don't get completely ignored(because you are terrible), I'm at 12.

Don't be hard on cawood, chief. He is the type that brings a new ball to the courts in hopes he will get picked to run....just let him play on occasion.

Snow Randoms:

- before I trust Handsome Jay Wright again.
- Cincinnati chili

t Pitino often does his best work with his back against the wall.

Watching Texas I would have to say they are a dark horse for the final four.

-Thursday night games are weird. Pretty much hate them early week when I know I don't have the Tues/Wed to break up the week...but once they finally arrive, I guess they are pretty cool. Still not preferred, of course.

-Love Jay Wright, wonder how he would do here? I think he could handle the PR side just fine. Not a huge fan of the makeup of his teams but that could be difficulty bringing in talent to Nova.

-Cincy chili on anything but a coney is AWFUL. It's not even chili. It's stupid.

-So you watch 1 Texas game and they're a F4 team? Guess you missed where they were losing to TCU/TT. Not buying it. I'd say first weekend exit is much more likely.

-Good thing about this snow is it should be relatively short lived, where last 2 years it snowed then the temps went sub-zero. Mid to high 30's Sun on. Putting the boys up in hotel rooms so they don't get stuck at home. Little snow doesn't get in the way. I'm sure they love that... especially since it's next door to the Rhino.

-Fl, Ga, NC, SC, NJ, NY, IN, IL, MO, ARK, LA, MS, AL, TN, TX, OH

I think that's about it.

-Good call, love the Thurs/Sat combo.

It is/was, and then he moved into an actual neighborhood named Wellington. :smiley: Pretty perfect, eh?

-The neighborhood Facebook page is definitely a treat. Ours (Beechmont) is required daily viewing, and a great place to troll.

Washington (Seattle 84) and Minnesota (Mpls 96) are probably the two most unusual states I've seen a UK game in.

Still have my 'Cats will Battle in Seattle' button around my parents house somewhere. Remember wearing that thing to school.

Looking forward to adding a new state next yr in Vegas against UNC. Guessing that game will be played in the new arena behind NYNY.

Umm, I wasn't talking to you, nor am I ever, Richard.

Thx.

Gonna need a bounce-back performance tonight. The fact that the line has moved over 3 points in our favor has me feeling irrationally optimistic.

OTOH, the first time I see any one these things, I'm just gonna assume the worst:

  • Poythress short-arm a layup;
  • Lee commit a hip check foul 40 feet from the basket;
  • Bricksoe brick a wide open 3;
  • Arkansas hit a wide open 3;
  • Arkansas bank in a contested 3;
  • Skal get stripped by a skinny white dude;
  • Murray miss a 15 foot leaner with 3 defenders draped over him;
  • A sweaty Calipari yell at a random UK player for no apparent reason;

We stay away from any of the above, everything else should be cream cheese...

Poor Willis, lol.

He may indeed get the nod tonight, but IF he does, he better be rebounding & defending like a mad man

...if he gives up a SINGLE bucket ----> Boom, outta here. You touching idiot. He will have merely been just filling in for somebody at that point, not knowing **** about basketball. :100points:

I'm most curious about Matthews. He seems pretty disengaged & irritated over there, and I don't see that changing next year either, especially after his lil buddy bounces.
