Not going to blame refs. We had the game with 9 seconds left and didn't even get a shot off. Cats played their asses off and Selden played the game of his life. They would hate to see us in March as will everyone else.

Cal either had no idea what to do against the triangle or our team is just dumb as ****.

Murray excels with ball in his hands. Our best player (Ulis) needs the ball in his hands.

That was like the BS whistle Brandon Knight's team got in Chapel Hill. Knocked their asses out in March. Hope UK gets another chance.

I think that 3 at the end was the only one we hit after halftime. With fouls and our own inability to shoot FTs, it's really a miracle that we were in that game... and, as others noted, we really had it in our hands in regulation.

I like my team. We stepped up and played great tonight in the toughest environment in college bball. Ulis is a fearless machine. Once Briscoe gets his confidence back as a shooter he's going to be such a stud, love his feel and instincts. You're just not going to win on the road when the other team gets 47 FTs, jesus.

Kentucky looks ready for March.

Wonder if we get the OU benefit for going toe to toe in PA? Or if we drop. Already lowest rated 4 loss team.

I'm pissed we didn't win but I like where we're at.

We beat Kansas tonight as far as I'm concerned. I try not to be a ***** about officiating, but with a tie at the end of regulation and the way it was called, we beat Kansas tonight. We just don't get the satisfaction. And neither do the players. Which might be a good thing. We're a lot better than I thought. Get on the charity stripe and don't leave until you've got it worked out, Briscoe.

Gonna go watch that beatdown we laid on this bunch last year now.

Props to Selden and no one else. The rest of them are overrated bitches. F*** the college basketball world. I swore I didn't care how this one went before it started.[eyeroll]

We won't get the benefit for anything. Lose 3 in a row --> drop 10 spots
Lose 3 games over the course of 2 months --> drop 5 spots a loss

Ulis turned the ball over. Murray was likely in the wrong spot BUT Ulis turned the ball over. It happens. Kansas d on Ulis in the 2nd was the difference.

Murray did not shoot FTs until OT. It would be nice to see him attack the rim like Briscoe does so he can go to the stripe. I guess Cal is thinking " F it I am going to play Brickscoe no matter how many FTs he misses" damn it.

There's a lot to like... but KU going junk defense and the offense messing down their leg the rest of the game wasn't particularly encouraging.

This "loss" should be worth a bump in the polls. There is obviously little to no difference between #4 KU and #20 UK.

But, Duke will probably leapfrog us.

Few quick thoughts...

*Willis is so important to this team, even when he doesn't score. When he is out, it effs up our spacing...especially with that junk D. I'm not going to ***** too much about the refs so as to not sound like a cards fan...but I will say that Willis' 5th was ridic.

*With apologies to assistbyredass, if Skal is going to get any meaningful run he better figure out how to accidentally get a few defensive boards. A couple sweet J's are all well and good but when we play good D for 25 seconds and then can't finish the possession by clearing a rebound, that's unacceptable.

*What a strange paradox to have a 7footer who is butter with the J and from the line but can't grab a board and a 6'3" guard who can't shoot and absolutely can't be trusted from the line. I guess Briscoe is making progress but you could tell on some of his drives late he was avoiding contact, clearly terrified to go to the stripe.

*Ulis is who we (other than 73) thought he was, clearly past the injury and one of the best 3 pt guards in the land.

We're dangerous, a second tier level title contender...plenty of those have won it all over the years. Need Murray to find more clean looks.

Besides the UL game and maybe not even then, that was the most involved I've been in a game all season. Not my desired result obviously but I'm not mad about it now.

We definitely need to shoot more mid range jumpers, especially Murray. I'm pleased though. Everyone who played made a contribution at a key moment. That's encouraging. Good to Lee show some aggression. Now increase it!

I have no way to verify this but I bet @fatguy87 can:

UK when shooting with more than 10 on the shot clock - +1000
UK when shooting with less than 10 on the shot clock - -750
