I went to one they had in 2012 and racked up on ish. I probably spent $200 but the stuff they had was legit and cheap.

It's similar to a black Friday shopping experience. People ambush the shoes carrying out 8-10 boxes of Nike cleats for $25 a pop. I just went straight for the wind breakers and found one for $25 and it's still to this day my favorite UK jacket. They only allowed in a certain amount of people at a time and then they would clear them out, restock and let another group in.

Is there another one coming up?

I'm looking to leave? I guess. Just tired of getting **** on over and over and over and over again as a football fan. Poured tens of thousands of dollars into that program, and they don't listen to a damn thing people say. Nor do they care. And when they try to improve things, they half *** it. Stoops is a great hire. Give him some effing money for assistants. Our payroll is a joke.

If you want to be Big Boy SEC Football, then effing act like it. No garbage uniform redesigns. Don't have payroll at the bottom of the league. Don't half *** what you do. And quit shitting on the fans, and treating football as a cash cow to pay for other programs. The football program will bring in so much more money if they would just give a ****.

The logo looks much better filled in, the outline on those shirts looks stupid. Going to take some getting used to although I agree the previous wildcat was awful going back to the dick tongue version.

73, do you think other programs do something other than have the professionals at Nike (or whatever brand they are affiliated with) do research and design the uniforms and logos accordingly?

We don't have a winning tradition like Alabama and our uniforms/helmets have changed several times over the years, so there really isn't a traditional or standard look.

Going modern with a nod to the past is the way to go and this look tries to accomplish that. I'm OK with the UK logo and the Wildcat Head. I like the new font.

There is just too much going on with the checkers and patches. The checker pattern would look better as just 2 rows on the end of each sleeve and down the pants, IMO.

The NASCAR like number of patches on the front is too busy.

But they are certainly not embarrassing, or "shitting on the fans."

Dial down the drama. Holy ****.

Man we just invented a new coaching position. I wouldn't be surprised if Mitch actually does start hiring offseason/preseason/regular season coaching staffs. WTF are you talking about. We're spending money...idk exactly what on, but we are spending.

I wouldn't mind seeing a quality control AD, and a director of clothes.

I say this like I haven't been on nike.com in the last 5 years and seen the kind of crap they produce now. Considering that, we got pretty darn lucky. Nike does much worse and the **** actually sells, so guess we should be happy with what we got.

Until right now i hadnt noticed that Wash St.'s logo is actually a WS. Kinda cool.

To me, the logo really only looks terrible as a patch. That looks like complete ****. I could get used to the logo itself on a shirt or something, but the patch is embarrassingly bad. It looks like a ****** boy scout patch they earned at camp.

The uniforms have nothing to do with us being at the bottom of the SEC. Why spend on money on a redesign that is marginal, at best, and not upgrade the coaching staff with better pay incentives???

Boo-F'ing-hoo, 73. So, one of your teams sucks. Guess what? Three of my four teams suck. You also have the greatest college basketball program of all-time. What would you do if you were an Illinois fan or something and you had nothing to hang your hat on?

Just take UK football for what it is, and it's not all that difficult to be a fan. Trust me. I still enjoy the fall. I enjoy going to Commonwealth. I enjoy getting together with my buddies and watching the Cats every Saturday.

Here's what I want out of UK football moving forward:

* Beer sold throughout the stadium.

* Give the fans a re -entry pass if they decide to leave the stadium and want to come back in.

* Nice weather to enjoy some Fall Saturdays with my Wildcat Buddies.


Everything is else including what happens on the field is ancillary.

Think that's fair.

You know that damn LED stickman over there by whatever student complex near JDI...we paid a ridiculous amount for that one-of-kind prized japanese art piece. I laugh evey time I drive by and remember the article talking about it. That was a big deal from a highly touted japanese "artist" and we paid mucho for it. Again, something I believe a student could design pretty easily. But we paid 6+ figures for it. I wanna say 1million but that sounds stupid, but I swear it might've been.

- We just paid up to keep Andy Buh and Ansley from going to other Power 5 schools. We also just straight up stole a position coach from our biggest rival and are paying him more. Our damn TE coach makes more than some coordinators. Our staff pay is way above what the results would dictate. Just saying we are 11th in the SEC or whatever is stupid. It's about range. We are roughly in line with the Mississippi schools, Arkansas, and Missouri. WTF do you want, Alabama level salaries? We pay the same as schools who have been competing for SEC titles and we have yet to lose a coach based on salary

- Washington State's WS logo in the shape of the mascot is somewhat common out west. Eastern Washington does the same thing

Wish they'd bring back the piss-covered empty bourbon pints in the men's room at CWS, too.

Used to be tons of them in there when I was a kid. Every game. Haven't seen much of those in recent years. Seems like UK Football Man has really toned the drinking down.

The re-entry thing will never happen post 9/11. I think we will eventually have alcohol sales because it will be needed to help attendance.

Booze is coming back sooner than later. OSU is basically wet again, if I'm not mistaken. I think Texas is doing some experimenting as well.



Hold on, so Mitch over pays for some but under pays on the whole? What? I just saw Pastners buyout, 11million. AD's across the country are raped because they don't have bargaining power over coaches.
