I just don’t understand how people don’t get it. Z’s best game of his career was his 1st one before Cal could mind f**k him. The amount of talent wasted by Cal is unparalleled.
Mark Pope with UK’s roster would have been a FF caliber team. That’s not saying a lot. I think 20 coaches could have been a FF contender with that team.

Plus the results leak out before the "live coverage". Prefer the days of watching all the good stuff on prime time with no spoilers. Could be that I just have almost no interest and the tiniest hurdle is enough to make me give up.
How would Cal's career have gone with Elam endings? He has plenty of flaws, but chief among them are late game management, stall ball, not knowing when to foul, not knowing who to have on the court situationally, etc. Elam eliminates a lot of that.

I think I may have told you before but my dad was on the Forrestal too. He was on it when it caught on fire.
I got to accompany my grandfather to DC on a Veteran trip to see the WWII Memorial many years ago. I was the youngest person on the trip of about 300 people. I suggest doing a diary or recording as much as possible because it is my experience that once you get those old guys talking you will get stories that you never heard in a classroom.

My Dad was on the original crew (it was commissioned in '53 (he was on a Destroyer before that), but when I was little, I remember going to the celebration re-commissioning(?) after the Forrestal had finished being repaired etc. after that fire. (My Mom grew up in that area, and we were there visiting my grandparents) Small world.
That's dope. Always enjoy seeing those when traveling.
